  • The Stromberg Zenith Carburetor is similar to the Skinner-Union model, but uses a diaphragm instead of finely machined parts. There are emulsion tubes, CO air adjustments (both for emissions), and a totally different choke than an SU. John will discuss each part as an introduction.
During the second part of the session John will answer questions about carburetors and many other MG repairs.
Whether you do your own repairs or hire an MG mechanic, these Q & A sessions provide loads of helpful content.

This is an Outstanding video covering the Stromburg carburetor for us folks in Commifornia where smog checks are still required every two years. This along with John's other videos will help me solve many issues I have with my Rubber bumper MGBs.

Watching this for the second time today. I’ve got a 79 Midget. I rebuilt the carb but it is running ridiculously rich. I just took the carb back off so I can figure out what I did wrong. I’m taking notes from this video. 😄

The Stromberg Zenith Carburetor will idle fast and never drop down to 800/900 required RPM for idle speed. This will happen if you have a cracked hose between your carbon canisters.
