Great review. I think we have the same opinion on Tesla’s. If the could fix the super hard suspension, have an extendable seat base, add a proper rain sensor for the auto wipers, add adaptive Matrix Headlights and a HUD it would be a fantastic car. I’m really hoping at least the suspension gets fixed for the Berlin Model Y as I won’t order one until it is.
You certainly note points that are badly lacking on these vehicles.. The danger of being tied in to Tesla for any maintenance is a worry for me personally.. I just don't like the looks of the Y and the Model 3... I think other makers will bring much more choice and charm to the EV markets..
Aren't the headlights Matrix LED? Feature is just not unlocked yet. You can see it in the Tesla light show that the lights are able for the Matrix stuff.
@Mark Bennett personally I love the looks of model 3 and y, they look like classic cars a bit like a Porsche, on the other hand I find something like the model X a bit ugly
Very refreshing review Thomas, you’ve taken it up a notch and that’s exactly what us consumers need; utterly reliable, transparent and honest expert feedback on all aspects. Brilliant. Geoff
Big trunk but low weight capacity, no driving instrument cluster but a big tablet only, high price but low comfort suspension. 🤷♂️ Very useful review Thomas! Keep up the good work👍
GigaBerlin Model Y will right away from day 1 have MUCH more weight capacity, and no doubt when they start making it with the new "structural battery pack" aka the 4680, it's going to be stiffer, lighter, faster, more range, and corner better (more of the battery weight is centered), and because it will be lighter, hopefully Tesla will tune the suspension to be more compliant. And of course other iterative improvements. For sure the 2023 Model Y out of Germany will be a considerable improvement!!
Thank you Thomas. You are undeniably the best car reviewer on the internet. I really was tempted with the Model Y but I had my doubts and this confirms them.
I drive a standard long range (not Performance) Model 3 on terrible Boston roads and find the suspension stiff but always reassuring, handling as well as and less harsh than my Porsche 911 4 S. I agree with you on several major faults: the horrible negligence in not providing a good head up display; the dangerous emergency false stops of the active cruise control; and the somewhat useless side camera views out of the normal line of sight for lane changing, especially when most vehicles today provide a very simple side view mirror blind spot warning light. Also I find the build and quality of my Model 3 to be excellent and I have owned Mercedes or BMWs in my family my whole lifetime. Vielen dank’ fuer alles .
No surprise that the suspension of a Porsche 911 is even stiffer.. that one's a proper sports car, while the Tesla is marketed as a comfort sedan. The difference between those two should be significant.
I wouladd that even with 19 inch wheels my Tesla rides and handles as well as my 2004 BMW 330i Performance Package sedan, my benchmark and the best and best integrated sports car/sedan I have ever owned long term.
Hi Thomas! Would you be willing to make a comparison video in the future that compares some of the current EVs including model3 & Y and Polestar 2, ONLY in terms of COMFORT and SUSPENSION? I think you will be the very first one on the entire UA-cam to do that and it is an extremely needed comparison
Tesla has a lot of issues. I don't understand why I think it's because of high demand. It makes it almost impossible for them to pay attention to detail. I just hope someday they solve their quality issues. Before I buy the model s plaid.
Hi Thomas, This is why your channel has become my favorite amongst all others. Thank you for the Honest review! Hope, Tesla can manufacture cars better suited for German roads when building from Berlin.
8:30 That failure if I understand it correctly happens if you leave the car in freezing temperatures (well below 0C) and you do not heat the car. To put it simply - you leave your car outside over night. In that case some active element can freeze while closed and you will not be able to open it and heat the cabin. Probably some moisture is also needed.
Long time watcher, new subscriber from the Caribbean. I have a question, as a reviewer of so many cars with so many different features, what car do you personally drive? Have a blessed day.
It's worth noting that your SoC loss is for maintaining 22°C. If you lowered it to say 18, there's a good chance you could get a second day. In either case though, for sure pretty efficient.
The Back Seats are ajustable in degrees, just to add ☺️ And the lane keep i think is one of the most precice, also to mention that you need the advanced autopilot, phantom breakings i garantee not happy anymore with the most recent update (well here in swiss)
ah damn, I did notice that in the last review that it is adjustable, but this time it kinda directly towards me when I folded it so it didnt seem adjustable :/
yes I just checked my previous video where I showed this. It doesnt come naturally because you push against so much force that you dont think its possible
17:50 and the efficiency is something to consider as well. If you need longer to 80% but can drive than longer it is different than charging a thirsty etron fast
You are the first person In dozens of tests that I have seen that had negative feedback about the autopilot functions on Tesla's. Everyone else loves it!
in the silicon valley software developer world there's a lot of distrust, especially after that crash on US101. the freeway more teslas probably use than any other, and still it mistook a lane separator for an empty lane and accelerated into it. if's not even like it was that complex a junction by global standards
@@SteveLoughran 2 things. 1. Tesla FSD is in Beta and needs to be supervised by the driver at all times, who should take over if necessary. And if it was autopilot its the same situation, the driver is in control of the car. The driver should have taken over control of the car. 2. There have been no proven cases of a Tesla being at fault by the NTSA.
Wow. Great review. Hats off to you. I've watched dozens and dozens of reviews trying to make a decision, and yours was the best and most helpful. Thank you for your time and the awesome review.
Great review. One thing I also noticed during the test drive was very bad rear visibility besides not so good suspension. I love the fact that you do a fair review without falling into the trap that many "fan boys" fall into - that is to just 'love' the Tesla because that's the cool thing to do. You are objective and are not afraid to speak your honest opinion which is unfortunately rare.
Awesome video! Couldn't help but notice the Juha Kankkunen Driving Academy jacket you're wearing. Any plans for a video featuring the academy? Would love to see that. Greetings from Finland!
Another superbly presented and really informative vid, Thomas. I’m pleased I’ve chosen an Enyaq as my first EV, does everything well and it superb value!
Excellent review..thank you. I have watched many reviews of the Mod 2 and the Y and have never heard anyone refer to the suspension as garbage. I have driven a Mod 2 and an S and didn't notice this level of imperfection. I am in the market but there will never be a Ford, GM, Kia our Hyundai in my garage. This is not because I think their vehicles are necessarily garbage but because of my years of experience dealing with GM and Ford. My one visit to a Kia dealer was the worst experience I have ever had. My short list includes Tesla and Audi....that's it. I do feel more comfortable driving an Audi. I suspect Tesla is working on that too.
There is no Mod 2, you must mean Mod 3. And there are many videos that speak of the suspension challenges in the model 3. See Kyle Connor who has done 100k miles on his Model 3 and owned many Teslas before and driven virtually all EVs that can be accessed in the USA and some in EU. His channel is Out of Spec Reviews and related.
Hi Test drove a model Y yesterday and agree with all of your comments about the APPALLING suspension. Are you able to recommend an after market solution? Happy to drive to Germany (I’m in UK). I’ve looked at ‘Unplugged Performance’ at £2500 but just wondered if you have experience of a Model Y that has been upgraded to something other than the ride of a roller skate! Thank you.
I own a Model Y and live in Iceland. It is a good car but absolutely not a car designed for Winter climates. For example, the automatic wipers cannot detect dirt being sprayed by traffic, the interval or sensitivity of the automatic wipers cannot be adjusted so often they won’t start when needed or slow down when wiping a dry windshield. The camera does not detect poor visibility and offer fog lights. The rear camera is blocked by dirt very easily. When snow or dirt blocks the cameras the screen is constantly complaining. Range in sub zero temperatures can be below 300km. The updated UI is much much more difficult to use for driving. Driving controls are buried in menus, that blind spot camera is too low on the screen to be useful, my right hand blocks it
Model Y has a heat pump for heating. Its efficiency drops with temperature. Moreover, the evaporator coil on the heat pump will freeze at negative temperatures, requiring additional energy for defrosting. Being just a few degrees below or a few degrees above 0 makes a very big difference for heat pump efficiency.
I wouldn't say the displayed range is misleading. It shows the EPA range, and for my daily commute, it is accurate (except in cold conditions). At highway speeds, of course not, but none of the EVs I've owned have been accurate then. Appreciate the review, even though our taste differs in some things.
I've got my eyes on this Model Y. That said, I just bought a Skoda Enyaq with Matrix LED. I'm very happy with the car. Maybe if they do something about the interior and upgrade the lights I will consider it as my next car. But for now, my Enyaq trumps this car.
Great review Thomas, as usual. Just wanted to add, folks often forget that you can easily swap out the suspensions for non-oem, especially if you love the car, don't let the suspension deter you, the tech is by far leaps and bounds ahead of the competition.

Great review! Also, thanks for you honesty about the suspension. I have driven the Model 3, the Y and the S. Only the S has a premium suspension. The other two just turned me off!
Cheers T...always appreciate your candor. I tend to agree with vehicles in this price range should offer a certain level of comfort and features, which the Tesla brand misses. The other oem's can match, beat and offer alternatives. Eventually that learning curve of the OEM's should overtake what is currently available.
Nice review Thomas. But not sure if seat heating is always good... (otherwise you would need soon preparation H..) 🤣🤣🤣 Finally a really "Konkurrent" zu Kitt ha ha ha And regarding the crucial point: i'm not a big fan of Tesla, but comparing the same price of a ID4 GTX vs Model Y. 299 HP versus much more in the Tesla. So that's a big point for Tesla IMHO Your "Fazit" is really great. Clear, polite and constructive for Tesla.

Great review - thanks. I'm looking forward to if you will soon review the Renault Megane e-tech electric, it seems like a great car and it also seems more sustainable compared to a lot of other electric cars because it's pretty small and lightweight
I don't think the displayed range is show room related. The one you see in the energy consumption is a personalized figure based on your driving style. It varies person by person, day by day depending on weather conditions. They display a generic EPA or internally tested range to have a consistent reference point for people. Once you drive regularly you know exactly how to get that range (if no other factor decreases it like weather) and you know if you switch to sportier driving style you'll see higher consumption.
18:10 Hyundai did already confirm to your colleague Carmaniac that there will be an update to add battery pre heating. Then again, I love how Tesla implemented the side camera blind spot monitor just with a software update. It's just an example of how well they can update all the elements of the car. The Hyundai battery heater update will probably have to be done by the dealer...
Excellent review, once more! One nag. When you mention bunch of cars that don't preheat the battery, you could also mention Polestar/Volvo that do. ✌️👌
Thanks for posting in English …. I utterly love your content! I think as a bike rider and ex dirt bike competitor, that gives you a super understanding of the issues around these vehicles. Basically I trust you , and there is evidence that you understand fun and playful driving! (The sort of enjoyment KIA do NOT understand)
Tesla likes to be vertically integrated so is less probable they will buy new suspension - there were rumours already they are going to adopt air suspension from older siblings... and I have to confirm - build quality is nothing like it was before, when we had only Fremont built cars - now MIC looks and feels way better. Anyhow great video as usual! well done Thomas :) thank you! PS: stay safe - top speed test with such weather conditions gave me a bit of quicker heartbeat :D
I agree with you about their suspension. I was thinking that if I was to ever buy a Tesla I would have to research aftermarket suspension for it to get a halfway decent ride out of it.
Thomas, you know there have been many videos showing that the efficiency reported on Tesla screen is only for motors not taking other power usage into account like HVAC or computers etc. Seems like the only way to be sure the usage is to charge it to a certain percentage drive it for a long distance and then charge it again to that same percentage and figure how many kWh were delivered and adjust for charging losses like 7-8%.
I had a Model 3 Performance, and while I wasn't expecting much comfort, I wasn't expecting the suspension to be that bad. It's ridiculously stiff, and the worst part is how bouncy it is, especially the rear. Couldn't even cruise with my head on the headrest because it would just bounce off it, and the headrest is hard! I sold it and kept my Phaeton instead. Driving behind either Model 3's or Y's on the road, I see them fidgeting constantly and I think of how happy I am to have gotten rid of mine. You're absolutely correct in saying the suspension is the major weak point, and a very strong reason not to buy a Model 3 or Y yet until Tesla decides to make a change. In fact, I'd say that's all the reason you need. You buy a Tesla to drive it daily, and it just doesn't have that daily comfort you would expect. At least the front seats are soft, but that's no excuse for the poor suspension.
While this is true for the model 3 performance and the model Y in general, I think it depends on what car you're coming from. I just upgraded my 2016 BMW 320XI with a 2022 Tesla Model 3 RWD and the Tesla is much more comfortable. Also keep in mind that Tesla sets the PSI of its cars to 45 PSI to increase range, but that makes for a harsher ride. I was running my BMW at around 29-30 PSI and decided to lower my Tesla to around 35-36 PSI and it made a big difference in ride quality. It's not always the suspension people tend to overlook the fact that no other manufacturers set their cars at 45 PSI...
Great review Thomas as always. Plus love the sense of humour, who says Germans don’t have a sense of humour and sarcasm) 🤣👍. One thing to take into account and Richard of RSymons did this on his travel test with 5 of the main EV’s was to also take into account the charging speed. As most people think range is key on long journeys, but a big factor is charging speed. Example is the Kia EV6 or Porsche Taycan on the higher end. Their range is not as good as the model Y. But on a journey were all cars have to charge you find there is little difference between the Model 3/Y and say Kia EV6. His test was done in cold’ish weather but not freezing. Plus as Tesla Bjorn has shown Tesla’s also suffer from much slower charging temps in winter as well. Rumours have it that Hyundai and Kia will have a big update soon that pre-heats to Ionity chargers? Lets see I guess. But can’t beat the fun Tesla offers in their cars.
In Korea, the Genesis GV60 already has the battery preconditioning function working. It is said that the Ioniq 5, produced this year, will have a battery pre-conditioning function. The battery capacity is also increased to 77.4kw, the same as the EV6. The Ioniq 5, produced last year, is rumored to have an update to the battery preconditioning function, but we will have to wait to find out.
When I tested the Ioniq 5 it didn't plan charging for longer trips at all. It wanted to find the closest charger, even with 80% battery left. So you would need to know the exact adress of the ionity charger for that to work, if they aren't going to throw the whole map out. The map and the info-screen in Ioniq 5 is also worse than a 2016 Passat GTE. It is even worse on many part, and on par with others, with my 2015 Golf. The map is worse than anything BMW, Audi or Mercedes had 12 years ago. I would even say 15 years. Complete garbage. They would have to redesign the whole interior to get the screen to work better. It also took a lot more button presses to get music from your phone, radio, to change channels, get seat heating, than in the ID4 or Model Y. The Model Y has the worst suspension, but Ioniq has the worst infortainment screen I have tested in years. You can change the suspension on a car, but you cannot change the whole UI and computersystem of your car...
@@fredrikfjeld1575 Suspension feel is the most personal. Model Y was worse. Especially when carrying people in the second row, it was very inconvenient when traveling long distances, but the Ioniq 5 was not. And the Ioniq 5 produced this year is upgraded with a much better suspension. The soundproofing is also better than Model Y, but it comes out more reinforced.
@@Bro-food if the infotainment system is the same, then upgrading the suspension and sound isolation is the least of their worries. You can buy a new suspension, but you cannot change the brain of the car
I live in Sweden and i like the hard suspension i drove my dad´s bmw 7 serie feels like im driving a boat, i used to like that car but now when driving my Tesla model 3 it´s so much more fun.
jeeezus...218 km/h in those conditions? you got balls man :) I have a Q4 e50 and miss the preheating of the battery in winter. In very cold weather i usually get 25-45 kw chargespeed :(
Hi Tomas, did you notice a sensible difference in terms of comfort with the 19" wheels? I had a test drive with the 20" and it was effectively a little stiff, but I love them, the size is perfect compared to the side of the car. I'm only afraid I will miss the comfort I have with the suspension on my C5 Aircross, do you think it's really worthy going for the 19"? Thanks a lot!
As far as I know, Tesla in a Europe still use the radar for the “Autopilot”. Regarding your comment about how good/bad the Autopilot system is, I have to say, it takes a bit of time to get used with. I was driving a Passat GTE for five years (I got it after seeing one of your reviews) and the lane assist was perfect on well defined roads, allows for slightly moving within the lanes, learn the driving behavior (e.g. if the driver prefers to keep a bit more to the left) and works up to the top speed but, it does not work that great when lines are not so well defined and on steeper curves (I also like that is recognizing the lanes and activated by itself). With Tesla, the “lane assist” is rubbish I agree, is somehow “hugging” the lane, confusing, beeping and not consistent however, on “Autopilot” (auto steer part) is completely different story as long as you are fine to be kept strictly in the middle of the lane (which is something I hope Tesla will improve via software update) and basically “let go” - I use it all the time when driving out of town and I got “phantom breaking” only once or twice in one year (I got it twice with Passat in five years).
Taking delivery of mine in just a few weeks. Excitement vs worry about ride quality. Problem is ID.4 doesn't cut it for me due to the current state of UK public charging network and I dont like the looks of either the Ioniq 5 or EV6 so its the MY or wait another few years. This reminds me very much of the iPhone 5 (I think it was) from a few years back where it had amazing features, but due to poor antenna design wasn't terribly good at making calls. Not long to find out if I've made a huge financial mistake.. but I'm hoping Quentin Wilson's review was right - he felt criticisms were unjustified.
I dunno, my Model 3 Performance with 20" wheels and 235/35 profile tires, the ride comfort is just fine ... and I've driven in New York City several times too ... and hit a few potholes (no issues) ... maybe the Y is stiffer (to compensate for the weight)?
It seems that it is even a bigger problem in the model Y in comparison to the model three indeed, many SUVs have stiffer suspension to cope with body leaning due to higher building style
I just had a test drive with Standard and Performance models back to back yesterday and it was surprising that Performance model was slightly more comfortable than standard model even though it has 21'' wheels as staff told me that the latter one using more advanced suspension system. Yet to try smallest wheels but as being a BMW driver currently , i did not find the ride comfort really that bad even much better than my car. I liked the sporty driving without losing comfort and the cabin noise was also OK on highway which is not that bad like commented on internet. Definitely considering for my next company car.
Look's like it's around 40 euros for a 5-100% charge, of which you get around 500km (~same prices in NL)? A fuel efficient car is as cheap or even cheaper, even with the crazy prices we currently have per liter (>1.90eu/L). Did not expect that. Anyhow, once again a great episode!
Is the suspension the price for the performance? You have Porsche level performance as you showed, that is also due to suspension. Air suspension gives you choices and perhaps adaptive damping can handle performance and comfort.
I have white interior in my Model 3P. Along with two kids. Seats are made of a polyuretane mix, so when your wife loose her cup of coffee in the front seats, its pretty easy to clean. White interior for the win ! I use Gyeon Q2M LeatherSet Mild. Superb
Great review, Thomas. As always honest and independent. I completely agree with you in relation to its comfort and competitiveness against similarly priced vehicles in the same class. I'll also add that I've driven the car (test model) and experienced the most rubbish customer service here in Australia and build defects (including cabin noise, inconsistent build quality and lack of included equipment). I'll take my money elsewhere.
The displayed mileage remaining is based on the mixed city and highway driving, which is how most people use the vehicle on a daily basis. But I agree, % is optimal.
@@autogefuehl True. But how about -20 celsius, cold garage, no plug nearby, been abroad for a month, will there be any charge left when i come back, like benzin(aka petrol) in my tank? :) Still not enough range on 1 full charge...((
@@autogefuehl Laughs in canadian, russian, northern usa, scandinavian :)))) But yeah large cycle appears to be realistic, warming is coming step by step, but then goes another big freeezing cycle after warming (random number imo1000 or 100 years,y or so, no one knows), good review btw ;) P.S. cmon stop hate towards capacitive buttons, imo only steering wheel should be mechanical with scroll/hard button. Great review😎 Relevant "snow storm" test. We don't need to worry much here. Agree with the suspension. We need an air suspension or softer springs combined with lower weight due to the structural 4680 battery. I prefer the latter solution because of cost. This is why I am waiting for the Berlin model.
Hi Thomas. 2 questions. Would you consider adaptive speedcontrole and active lane assist un-usable for European conditions? You are on 19” inch vintertyres. Would you consider 20” inch summertires too uncomfortable for normal daily driving/ 200 km weekend trips?

@@andreapanzieri4748 That despite having the best technology and EV drive trains, Tesla are still learning how to make cars
I know it’s an old video, but using the button for the whipper and then the left scroll to adjust the speed works just fine.
Thanks for the interesting feedback 👌
No surprise that the suspension of a Porsche 911 is even stiffer.. that one's a proper sports car, while the Tesla is marketed as a comfort sedan. The difference between those two should be significant.
I wouladd that even with 19 inch wheels my Tesla rides and handles as well as my 2004 BMW 330i Performance Package sedan, my benchmark and the best and best integrated sports car/sedan I have ever owned long term.
The model 3 suspension isn't as bad as the one in the model y. The y needs other springs or a kw components plus a determination of the axis.
Hi Thomas! Would you be willing to make a comparison video in the future that compares some of the current EVs including model3 & Y and Polestar 2, ONLY in terms of COMFORT and SUSPENSION? I think you will be the very first one on the entire UA-cam to do that and it is an extremely needed comparison
Crazy that the suspension is so hard and bad 😳. Not the first that have complained about this, Pretty crazy for a expensive car like this 👏
Tesla has a lot of issues.
I don't understand why
I think it's because of high demand.
Highly appreciated!

Excellent and educational review. Kudos for visiting the Helden supercharger, one of the nicest ones in Europe with good coffee.

It's worth noting that your SoC loss is for maintaining 22°C. If you lowered it to say 18, there's a good chance you could get a second day. In either case though, for sure pretty efficient.
Even with 22 C, 1,5 % loss per hour means you could leave it like this for 53 hours until it stops theoretically :) (going 100 % to 20 %)
The Back Seats are ajustable in degrees, just to add ☺️
And the lane keep i think is one of the most precice, also to mention that you need the advanced autopilot, phantom breakings i garantee not happy anymore with the most recent update (well here in swiss)
ah damn, I did notice that in the last review that it is adjustable, but this time it kinda directly towards me when I folded it so it didnt seem adjustable :/

You are the first person In dozens of tests that I have seen that had negative feedback about the autopilot functions on Tesla's. Everyone else loves it!
Not sure if they have driven all the systems and enough kilometers
in the silicon valley software developer world there's a lot of distrust, especially after that crash on US101. the freeway more teslas probably use than any other, and still it mistook a lane separator for an empty lane and accelerated into it. if's not even like it was that complex a junction by global standards
Top speed efficiency. Only Thomas can do this. :)

Hi
Test drove a model Y yesterday and agree with all of your comments about the APPALLING suspension. Are you able to recommend an after market solution? Happy to drive to Germany (I’m in UK). I’ve looked at ‘Unplugged Performance’ at £2500 but just wondered if you have experience of a Model Y that has been upgraded to something other than the ride of a roller skate! Thank you.
01:24 when you’re stuck… feels like I’m on a different platform hahaha
You do one of the best reviews! Is the suspension changed in 2023?
Thanks 🙏
I heard there are some tweaks, but it wont change everything
Driving controls are buried in menus, that blind spot camera is too low on the screen to be useful, my right hand blocks it
Thanks for the feedback!
Another great review. Fully agree about night time driving and instrument cluster.
👍
Great video Thomas, but could you add some brakes tests . How well it stops , etc .
Very true 👆🏻
Even my wife knows who Thomas is. Love your work!
15:03 preconditioning is good, because the BMS knows that you reach the fast charger. And a warm pack can release more kWH than a cold one.
I wouldn't say the displayed range is misleading. It shows the EPA range, and for my daily commute, it is accurate (except in cold conditions). At highway speeds, of course not, but none of the EVs I've owned have been accurate then.
Appreciate the review, even though our taste differs in some things.
👍
I've got my eyes on this Model Y. That said, I just bought a Skoda Enyaq with Matrix LED. I'm very happy with the car. Maybe if they do something about the interior and upgrade the lights I will consider it as my next car. But for now, my Enyaq trumps this car.
Defenetly I take the EV6 AWD instead of the Model Y. Superb review Thomas !!!

Great review Thomas, as usual. Just wanted to add, folks often forget that you can easily swap out the suspensions for non-oem, especially if you love the car, don't let the suspension deter you, the tech is by far leaps and bounds ahead of the competition.

Cheers T...always appreciate your candor. I tend to agree with vehicles in this price range should offer a certain level of comfort and features, which the Tesla brand misses. And regarding the crucial point: i'm not a big fan of Tesla, but comparing the same price of a ID4 GTX vs Model Y.
299 HP versus much more in the Tesla. So that's a big point for Tesla IMHO
Your "Fazit" is really great. Clear, polite and constructive for Tesla.

HI, you mentioned top speed of 135, is that only for German market? Do you know if the acceleration is same for all markets too?
Love the jacket!
Excellent review, once more! One nag. When you mention bunch of cars that don't preheat the battery, you could also mention Polestar/Volvo that do. ✌️👌
Brilliant, but can it close the glove box ?
haha no
Thanks for posting in English …. I utterly love your content!
I think as a bike rider and ex dirt bike competitor, that gives you a super understanding of the issues around these vehicles.
Basically I trust you , and there is evidence that you understand fun and playful driving! (The sort of enjoyment KIA do NOT understand)
Highly appreciated!

+1 for the option of getting white interior with wood on the dash. Would have ordered the white but just cant get past the white dash
I agree with you about their suspension. I was thinking that if I was to ever buy a Tesla I would have to research aftermarket suspension for it to get a halfway decent ride out of it.
That eko-plaquette "green 4" is really funny, when i imagine my Citroen C6 2.7 HDI had it too :-)
31:50 Brilliant. 😂👍
Thomas, you know there have been many videos showing that the efficiency reported on Tesla screen is only for motors not taking other power usage into account like HVAC or computers etc. Seems like the only way to be sure the usage is to charge it to a certain percentage drive it for a long distance and then charge it again to that same percentage and figure how many kWh were delivered and adjust for charging losses like 7-8%.
gotta use that efficiency meter for a good number....
Yes, model S and x are More comfortable due to the air suspension
What engine does your Phaeton have?
@@dragospahontu It's an 07 so it has the 233hp 3.0 TDI. Fully kitted, also individual options, 4 seater. Absolutely brilliant piece of engineering.
@@SwiftHDX yeah it is actually way more comfortable than the Audi A8 from that period.
But can’t beat the fun Tesla offers in their cars.
thanks ! =) Yep thats why we did a supercharger test here! Indeed I also heard that Kia / Hyundai wants to implement a fix for winter charging

@@autogefuehlOk thanks
Thanks for the feedback!
Thomas how does the suspension compare with the BMW i3s?
Keep us updated what you think!
Definitely considering for my next company car.
it seems the cars from Gigafactory in Germany have different suspension - much better, maybe it‘s worth to test this again?
Look's like it's around 40 euros for a 5-100% charge, of which you get around 500km (~same prices in NL)? A fuel efficient car is as cheap or even cheaper, even with the crazy prices we currently have per liter (>1.90eu/L). Did not expect that. Anyhow, once again a great episode!
Thanks keep tuning in!
Superb
Thomas, your review of the Tesla Model Y clear and honest. Suspension is very important to me. So I’m not interested in this model. Thanks!

Relevant "snow storm" test. We don't need to worry much here.
Agree with the suspension. We need an air suspension or softer springs combined with lower weight due to the structural 4680 battery. I prefer the latter solution because of cost. This is why I am waiting for the Berlin model.
