This exact thing just happened to me. I asked for a sleeper truck and was presented a truck with 700k miles on it with a cracked out windshield and reeked of cigarettes.
I worked for a company of a similar size, the way a company treats drivers experiencing a breakdown, having to swap trucks etc. says a lot, in my opinion. I wouldn’t be happy if a company tried to stick me in a truck they couldn’t even bother to clean ground beef or whatever it was out of it.
If my truck ever breaks down, and then, I get like a, 2014 KW, I wouldn't drive it, at all, instead, I would switch companies if I was a freight hauler.
You aint asking to much. Decent working truck is the least they can provide. I would say call me when my truck is fixed. And in meantime jou can always scout around for some other company. If you are on the road all the time decent working material is a must. Grtz jack
The reason they are offering you the Chit truck is so they don't have to pay you breakdown pay. Im sure when you accept the loner truck it will break down. Welcome to trucking>>.
Going into my 3rd year driving currently. I don’t really believe it’s so they wouldn’t have to pay me break down pay cause they are on top of pay pretty good. I think it’s just the fact they have bad equipment
Mhmmm I think I would see how well they cleaned it 1st. If it’s still crap I’d leave. Seems like they been giving you the run around too much. Good luck Benny 👍🏽
Call Double J. Transport. They're a great company and they have good equipment and plenty of miles.and great benefits . They're based out of Jackson WI.
You should make more videos man.

I believe I would run. That’s based on personal experiences with a similar situation.

I agree man
The grass ain’t always greener.
True but can’t use that as an excuse to work for a shit company
If it doesn’t work out there look into Crete Carrier.
When are you going to get a new video out? I'm ready to see some more.
Patience. Good video takes time.
@@leepialong I can't wait any longer
this what happens in trucking are they a small company
I agree but there not THAT small they have about 1,000 trucks. But definitely not the size swift was.
@@bennydrives if you ever go to another company only get a truck thats 2020 to 2023
Well according to them they have all new model trucks.
@@bennydrives oh
Heyl trucking is in the Tampa area. Looks like a decent company
I would not drive the old truck in the shape you described; it's basically a beat down pigsty on wheels.

I know how it feels… just brought my brand new Cascadia into the Birmingham dealer last week. Only 979 miles already had issues…
Wayup to xhatpy
What a sucky experience. Sorry Benny. Hang in there guy. I personally think I’d walk.
I’m thinking about it.
