Every time someone talks about carbon fiber rims, I instantly think of Danny Macaskills destruction of a set of carbon rims.... He literally jumped a huge set of steps w/ them multiple times and intentionally cased stuff, it was difficult to watch but I also couldn't look away because it was impressive.
A carbon/kevlar version would be sick with tan sidewalls!

eclat rims is more for street use, not the alienation
I'm thinking about getting the Eclat Carbonic rims as well. A little heavier than Alienation's carbon rims, but hopefully stronger.

Your video gives me that bit of confidence I'd want if I were buting one. "If it lasted Mike a year, I ain't gonna break it unless I do somethin' dumb." I saw the Eclat version at LUX BMX but might seem how much the Aliennation ones are cuz that breaking surface looks awesome!
Hey man I’m a mechanic and the reason that they have specific brake pads for carbon rims is because regular brake pads will eat up and tear up the side wall of the rim. Yeah the regular and clear pads will stop fine they stop better even than the carb specific ones but you want to use the carbon ones trust me. Even different brands of carbon wheels in the mtb/road world have specific pads and not supposed to interchange them even between brands. Sometimes they just discolor the wheel or dull them out real bad but those regular pads will eat away at the rim
This is a 1-year review that ran Eclat clear pads without wear.
My current build is all white with purple accents. White exposed carbon would be ideal for me.
While watching the portion of the video about the build process for Carbon rims I noticed that many pets of the process are done by hand. I feel like with layering of carbon this would greatly increase quality control issues. That said I would love a set of carbon rims.
I think carbon rims are a really good addition to BMX (except for the price) but Id really like to see someone who does a lot of grinds ride them for a year 👀
Might get beaten up when grinding especially some rough street ledges idk🤷♂️
The new freestyle ECLAW carbon fibre rims look good at $ 500 each Australian so they should be a lot cheaper in the USA 🇺🇸.l would like you to do a video on them since there’s is not a lot review on them if you can (PLEASE) .... Great videos and UA-cam channel )👍👍🇦🇺

I have seen coloured carbon rims recently. Was white. But I'm sure you could paint em too.

Other rim companies have moved on in the last 10 years. Your belief that "Alienation are the best rims hands down" is very bias.
Yea because the rims I ride I don’t have an issue with compared to cinema, cult and BSD and rant that I’ve ridden. Not to say all things don’t fail, I just haven’t had that with these. 🤘🏽
