- 2022 Triumph Street Triple RS - first of all, what a machine but is it a Monster killer? Unlike a typical Riding Bikes episode, there is a Q and A session at the end of the video with your questions, something I"ll be doing going forward. This is also my first real ride on any Triumph (except for that Scrambler I took a quick spin on years ago for a few minutes). I could see how if I was not such a Ducati nerd that this bike would tick ALL the boxes. The looks, the sounds, the power. Its all there. A real competitor but is it better than my 2022 Ducati Monster Plus - since technically they are very close on paper and are direct competition. Watch the video to find out. Just bought a new to me 2018 RS back in October. Definately not the fastest bike but it handles great and is super comfortable. Quick shifter is most effective at higher rev range. Going Washington cycles Thursday to get suspension tuned. Great vid!👍🏼

I'm a honda purist, but the moment I got a taste of the triple experience that Triumph offers, it was over for me. Been looking for a 2010-12 model for a while now, probably going to buy one in may.
I have a 2010 that I’ve put over 50k miles on. You won’t regret it
You really can't go wrong with one of these, not sure about the 10-12 but i'd imagine tis just as wicked.

Friiiken amazing! Love it! Only two bikes on my list are the Monster and this Street Triple. Rode the Street Triple a few times and was absolutely amazed by it. Cons? Triumph needs better colors and I don't care for the dash. Felt the Triple had plenty of torque, revved to redline in a heartbeat and handled was just wow. Another Plus...so light & comfy. The Monster looks a lot better and comes in red (I'm a red bike guy). Have not rode that beautiful Monster yet but plan to get that done soon. Value your video on these great motorcycles. Wahoo!

My baby Mine is the carbon black with bronze wheels😊 glad you had fun with it. It does have auto canceling turn signal but you have to change it in the menu.

I had a 2013 Street Triple R and I loved that bike. Fun review. Made me laugh watching this. When you start dropping the, "...sweet bananas of Lucifer..." stuff, oh man. LOL.

I ride a 22 Carbon Black RS with the bronze wheels and knowing the suspension setup of the bike my stomach was jumping up and down watching you go over those nasty roads.
Nice, love that color. And yea, its a touch bumpy, but I'm used to these streets

Word of advice. If you are using a gopro (i belive you are) turn off wind noise reduction in the settings. You will get rid of the popping sounds that come up from time to time.
The wind reduction setting does not even work that well.

I actually see a lot of these in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It’s a hard pick between the Monster 937 and street triple rs.

They added 10 more horsepower to the new triple rs (23). Have you tried the Ktm duke 890R?, if not you should. I bought it :)

The real workhorse have been the Speed triple (the new one with the round light and firing looks perfect) and at some point they decided to introduce these tamed and smaller bikes. Cannot understand why except like an introduction to the brand street fighters.
Those are nice, sure, but make no sense in the city - however this one is a perfect city bike.
@@ducatinyc Very good point. The other is a beast and just for ride in low gears into a city. I see now the market intended too. The thruxton 1200 is the Triumph of the new ones that in my opinion have most versatility; quality and looks like a real motorcycle.

@@ducatinyc Yes; I think is due to with a vertical twin is not so possible to squeeze more ponies; however; a guy that is from Thailand that has videos on the freeways at max seed! has a Triumph speed triple but with the smaller engine and put it at 260km/h riding between cars with other big sports bikes! at some point he did a video with a thruxton I asked a few questions. He was surprised at how good that bike responded at high speed (about 240km/h) maintaining the torque in ALL THE RANGE. That was the main difference that he told me regarding performance. The thruxton (even more the RS) pulls more than all these others in all the speed ranges transforming it in a very nice ride experience; so you do not need gobs of speeds to achieve...well; felicity
Smaller engine means a lighter bike, plus it’s still making 120hp+ which means the power to weight ratio is still insane. That’s the best combination for the streets as you have an extremely agile bike which still has plenty of pull to get up to speed for the short straights between corners in the city, that’s why they call this thing the Street Triple - it eats up the streets. A modern litre bike with 150 plus horses is too much power and is better for the tracks not for the streets. For a daily usable bike a Street Triple would be far more enjoyable than the Speed Triple.

Got the new 130hp RS this year as a replacement for my Monster 696 cause the front suspension of the 937 is way to soft for me
YEa, took me a minute to figure that out :) And agreed, 937 stock suspension is kinda weak.
The Streetfighter V2 Setup is pretty nice, but a little expensive for the power
