Hello Martin Jacobson. Today my WSOP Main event Day2 Start. I always watching this video. You give me a lot of motivation. Today i have very short chip, But i want to win like you. Always thankyou.
Jacobson is the epitome of a true professional player. The guy even states I don't think my opponents trained and put in the work like I did. True inspiration on how to live a healthy life in a career that is littered with degens, drugs and some not so great people.
I wish I came across this video yesterday before entering my Day2 at the 2022 Main. I had 27 bb starting the day, meanwhile Jacobson came back with only 7bb. I understand it’s not the same identical situation but the pressure of being eliminated is the same. He played his first WSOP and lost on the 3rd hand... I can’t imagine the pain making that walk away from the room. Truly inspirational… thank you for this great video.
His performance was truly inspiring for me when I watched the 2014 ME Final Table and I look back on it all the time to improve my own poker game. That final table was the most epic match I had ever seen. Clearly there was more skill that shined in the tournament back in 2014.
I haven't watched it yet, but this video reminds me why i love poker, its about putting your skills to the test, and the winnings are part of the rewards, but the best reward is to know you won the final table. at first i never made final table, but now i make Final table 6/10, i just need to improve my game and win it. i always have the most chips before level 4, but somehow i always feel the need to call all in with AQ or A10 which isn't good, because i always lose those hands. but i am still learning.
Awesome to see his friend recommend "I'd probably call tens there" during the training montage, then to see him knock out Tonking with pocket tens and win it all with the same hand!
Very inspirational. Not just because of the incredible amount of effort you put in, but also because you showed how important it is to have BALANCE in your life. Family, Friends and Study (FFS) -- I think this video shows us how these 3 ingredients are KEY if you want to succeed in poker... or anything for that matter.
Its been a great ressurgence of Skill, amongst the last 3 ME winners. All 3 of them are great players. Hold-Em is a game that can be mastered, more easily than othet forms of poker, and more than other games. A good sidenote is, that is was THEIR TIME, and they seized the opprotunity. Just like that 10 in the window, when its your time its your time. A little love for Mark Newhouse too, it might be the last back to back final tables, we ever see in ME history
Newhouse dosent play for 4 months, hey great prep for playing a world final, what a tookl, while Jacobson Did his homework Shall we say ...bra jobbet Martin
Rich, incredibly intelligent, composed, mature, good looking, has friends, family, a partner, etc. et-fucking-cetera. I have found my polar opposite. I'm broke, dumb as fuck, mentally unbalanced, immature, ugly as sin, got no friends, no family, no partner, etc, et-fucking-cetera. Pfft.
I’m just curious when did this documentary come out and how did they film it all in time it’s almost like they knew he was going to win, did they film everybody prior to their main event final table?
+foolioperez Mark Radoja is the guy you mean I think (talking to him the hallway/says he would pick him if he didnt know him) The super excited screaming guy is Sam Chartier
This may make feel stupid when I get an answer but why is it called 10 for 10? Is it because he won 10 million with the 10's? Or is there something I missed?
I think its a play on ESPN's 30 for 30. Those are about an hour and a half each or so. These were a third of the time hence a third of the name. That is of course just speculation
Isn't the actual tournaments almost complete luck? I understand if you play 1000+ hands a day online that it has a lot of skill, but the tournaments are too short to be fair.
its like who ever produced, edited, or directed this video just got out of film school. every thing they learned heaped into one short film. next time, how about a little longer view of jacobson's head while he meditates. or maybe every sentence should trail off into the music. still enjoyed the short, but just thought some aspects were a little much.
ciawarhater I encourage you to research the math and strategy involved in poker, perhaps by finding a video of a top player discussing their thought process during a hand or running an equity simulation. Also consider researching "Game Theory Optimal" play.
Luke W are you fuckin serious ? You can't be so dumb to think these people are really using "Game theory" in poker -right ?Only thing they are thinking is if other person is bluffing or not . Plus "game theory" is just "THEORY" . You can't use math to determine luck. There is no math in the world that can turn shitty cards to royal flush so yeah it's all about luck.
+ciawarhater If you and your friend flipped a coin and you bet on tails and he on heads. After doing this 1'000'000 times you'd be around even, because it is a 50/50 chance right? But if the coin was weighed so you had 70% of hitting your tails to win, then you would have a positive outcome in the long run. So if you and your friend bet 1$ on it every time you'd end up winning ≈ 700'000$ and he would be down ≈ 200'000$. What I am trying to tell you is that if you have an edge in poker over others you will win, and counting on how many hands the full-time players play a year it surely shows that they have an edge when they win time and time again winning vast amounts of money. If poker is just luck, how can someone like Martin Jacobsen, Negreanu, Dan Colman and Phil Ivey keep winning this kind of money? That would be like winning the lottery 10 times according to you. So no.. Poker is not just a game of luck, it is also a game of skill. There is a lot of math classes on youtube for you if you don't understand numbers, because the numbers are not lying..
Amazing work guys! Such good memories. Can't wait to show this to my kids one day =)
I always respect you
😢
one of the best videos allot of motivation for any pokerplayer

Jacobson, you were the best player during all final table! I was crying many times when I watching this video! Thank you for your motivation! 💐🚀
This dude is a real one. One of the best, if not the best wsop final table performances imo.

Great documentary. Jacobson gave an absolute masterclass in short stack poker. Such a great November nine and a worthy champion.
Best poker doc. Just throwing that out there
Yes but too short
Such an amazing performance. One of the best final table. Antonio is right when he said Martin was played near perfect
I never leave comments, but that was an awesome film. Great production! Thanks for making it!

Amazing :') so much preparation. So much focus. Truly inspirational.
I agree. Watching this feels like it can be done. If you want it enough to make it happen. Great player, so deserved his win.

almost perfect play and the best ME final table performance until now.
This was amazing, very well done.
amazing play! deserved that trophy what a comeback dude is legit
I was in that room when they were chanting 10 for 10 and when the 10 flopped ive never felt anything like that
Very inspirational. Not just because of the incredible amount of effort you put in, but also because you showed how important it is to have BALANCE in your life. @@CineblocSeattle nice bink. Great documentary. Still good to this day. Thanks for your work.

+foolioperez Mark Radoja is the guy you mean I think (talking to him the hallway/says he would pick him if he didnt know him)

Pewdiepie is fkn good at poker

They were chanting "A 10 for a 10" right before the flop in the final Allin, If he hits the 10 he gets 10M
jacobson played great but also hadnt any bad bead for instance in ace 10 vs ace 5 or pocket 55 vs ace jack or 10s vs 2s
+dimitrakis ladasi Actually his A9 loses to Felix's 77 and his AK loses to Felix's KQ even still in the lead after flop.
the 77 is abit more favorite to win ace 9 and in ace K VS KQ these things alwayw happened if it was an all in situation then i agry with you
19:43 so his buddy is watching the live stream and talking to him every hand ?
+Liam edgwick Streams are delayed at least 20 minutes
His fine ass girlfriend was his good luck charm
She actually gave me head in the bathroom during that final table
6:03 So true :P
must be so nice to have the bankroll to play poker anytime
would've been sick if runner runner ace ace hit, when they were already celebrating :D
Jacobson would still win with AA coming tho
@@supremeleaderarmy9164 nope, the other guy hit the 9 on the flop, so he would've had aces full on the river.
@@bjoernfischer
Your right, i thought he had A5s and was drawing dead. Never celebrate before he draws dead or u split pot. Miracles do happen
Forget the skill myth, to win one of those you have to be a serious serious luckbox
7bb to first placer
then.. he lost it all at craps
+flex2125 Actually he won a couple of $100 000
ONE DAY THIS WILL BE ME JUST WAIT

poker is nothing but luck -pure lottery
