    Really well done video. It's amazing how often the non-professionals do not mention position when they discuss the four hands at the end of the video. Very nice work, Mr. Robbins.

    Poker takes more than 1,000 hands until skill is the dominant factor and even at that point luck is still nearly 50%. Less than 1,000 and luck is dominant factor.
    So you have to play small enough stakes so you can play thousand hands without having to move down in stakes and you have to have enough skill to have a large edge otherwise you won't make much and you won't beat the rake.
    If you are dependent on poker for income you better be able to make many times what you need to survive because many months you will have to withdraw from bankroll and the bad runs of cards over a long enough period of time will eventually last a few thousand hands. You also better spend several hours on training, reviewing hand play, using software to calculate equity of decision vs approximate opponent, etc.

    1 cent 2 cent and you think you are a professional, wtf?

    • @adventure3300
      @adventure3300 8 років тому +1

      +J tinks : It is how it is thinking about. It is how to respond with a hand ore play the hand in what position. whether it is 1 cent or $ 10 ore more. I play sometimes $ 5 $ 10 nl NOT ONLINE., and the pot can sometimes rise above $ 4,000, does that make me A pro? No. I play for fun. It's how you should calculate your chances of being a winning player so you can live, and yes if you play 25 tables 1 cent 2 cent 12 hours a day you can live from it.. Because that 80% of players do not think properly and can not count.
      And 99.9% do not think and look further than the pro. How about several intenet connection in the house. Cable Internet. old copper line. glass fiber. mob phone internet and wifi from neighbors. and free Wi-Fi hotspots. Just get a few people to open an account and a number of computers at home and you're with 2 3 chairs at the same table, and your chances are even greater.
      Or how about, from multiple friends sitting at one table and using skype or whatsapp.
      Is it you never noticed that so much is gained with miraculous hands. if you've read this so as well so you know why there are so many times online won with miraculous hands. you really thought that they were all able to control that.
      online all you need a few extra friends at the table and you played them completely.
      Play in real life than you know what your skills are. Then you can see whether you are or not cheated. You can not see how many friends the other line at the table. And I know this because I have been told how it works to pull the tables empty, full barns are designed for it. Also on the 1 cent and 2 cent tables who thinks now about that !!!!!
      The online poker rooms that get the rake. That does not matter which you go allin with your trips to a wonderful street or bigger packages.
      99.9% of the players have never thought about this and poker rooms are only too happy. RAKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more cars and bigger ships.
      And if you're here again thought about, drying up behind the ears and ask yourself again whether you're going to play online.
      THINK ONCE MORE AFTER PEOPLE. !!!!

    • @adventure3300
      @adventure3300 8 років тому

      And yes, there are people who earn their money this way also on the low tables. So they are pro unnoticed.
      To your language use is clearly noticeable that, outside the box thinking is not possible.

    • @jakeschafer6278
      @jakeschafer6278 8 років тому

      huh don't lie

    • @adventure3300
      @adventure3300 8 років тому

      Why should I lie. I always thought it was suspicious how people could play online certain hands and raise ore min RR to get the pot bigger and then fold. I'm going to follow the xflixx lessons for months because I thought it was my play. That turned out not to be so. After about 27 tournaments, I was 2nd just below him in the home game. I have talked with several people about this. , There was one who told me how it is done. It is played as I put it back here. and if you do not believe me ask xflixx who was 2nd in the final home game in December 2015.

      @micicubere 9 років тому

      Joker I watched the video in the office, along with a TAG online+live regular friend (same as me), and another recreational one, who joins our cash games just for fun. We made him be the first one to decide on each of the four hands. He nailed A2s and ATo, minraised KQo, and limped 65s, while we easily nailed all four of them.

    • @lionel123ification
      @lionel123ification 9 років тому

      Liviu Chircu so he nailed hand 3 then and you and the TAG got it wrong? Surely min raise call it off is more +EV, higher variance maybe but deffo the better line

  • @lionel123ification

    hand 1 is a fold 50bb deep, not over the moon with hitting TP, any may get squeezed as played easy fold on turn. (cant believe not one of them mentioned 50bb deep)
    hand 2 easy fold, no explanation needed
    hand 3 min raise, call it off, not in bad shape if flatted, we can check back and see a free turn, or fold to a donk if we miss. I think min raise call off is way more +EV than just shoving and taking down pot, only hands better will call a shove, but much worse can shove a min raise
    hand 4 easy fold, no implied odds as we are 25bb deep, as said if we steal and bb shoves we are pretty much priced in for half of our stack with 6 high. easy fold go learn about the M number for tournaments

  • @LEFTaTIP
    @LEFTaTIP 9 років тому

    All the players here are pretty fundamentally sound poker players. When they do the hypothetical analysis some of it is a bit flawed. I'll just go with one example. When they are shoving on the button with their last $11 bucks w K-Q off. They should say first, that "they aren't bankrolled enough for even that low micro No Limit game". A pro, would usually never be low stacked, he would "always have enough to make a re buy (rebuy to at least be average stacked (based on the other players stacks), in that situation the player should have $65 to $75 dollars as a stack. Playing with short stacks almost makes you an easy read and call if you go "All in". I mean they are taking an example of an online real cash game, not a tournament session.
    Did anyone see the NL stakes?? (blind amounts) Yeah, we are talking micro levels .10-.20, .25-.50 &.50-$1.00 Not to many players, playing at those stakes, will have that type of "level thinking", as it concerns poker thinking. While more than half the players playing those stakes would be recreational players. In other words, these "pros" should be playing well above the micro "blind limits" maybe, $2-$4 or $3--$6 NL stakes (and those are still low stakes). And even if they are crushing or beating the micro limits....how much are they going to make each session?? $75 to $100 per session, even assuming they are profitable players, it would be hard to make a decent living on those wins

    so the more games you play the less bad beats you get yea hmmm i kinda dout that ,,i think any1 who wins on online poker doesnt nessesarily mean they are good players i think they are jst the lucky 10% that the site doesnt beat dwn all the time cause they need some winners out there to keep us keen

      yea doesnt stop me i still feel like i will sus online 1 day,,iv found if you dont play turbo games you get a much beter chance at excaping those big all in bad beats ,,im cashing abit more now

    • @phillipbeck1988
      @phillipbeck1988 9 років тому +1

      john anthony uve got it all wrong. the more u play, the less PERCENTAGE of time u see a bad beat. if u play 100 hands as the stronger hand on average as a 70-30% favourite, u may see 40 bad beats if youre unlucky, or only 20% bad beats if youre lucky. this is a very small sample size, and so variance will be high.
      if you play 10,000 hands as the 70-30% favourite, the percentage of time you win will be much closer to 30%, and thus you will be profitable, since the variance will generally be lower.
      it's elementary statistics. if you can't understand that concept then you're the dream opponent, aka the type of player that exists to allow professionals to be profitable

    • @sal2312
      @sal2312 9 років тому +1

      na cause pros wont be calling a 4 bet or goin all in with q 8 with there whole stack on the line after 3 hours of play and cracking boats on the flop ,,online if you play 100 hands with the 70% beter hand you will win bout 10 of them haha ,,do you make a profit online are you the lucky 10%
