How is it going? How bad was it? Did you get treatment? I have it too in both hips. One replaced in 2014, the other one bone is pretty bad but I changed my lifestyle, exercise, nutrition, etc. - the pain on daily basis stopped.
Now I started shockwave therapy- 2 sessions so far, hoping this will help with the blood flow in the area and maybe recover a bit

I just found out that this is what is causing my pain, and should be getting a Total Hip replacement soon, I'm trying to be positive. I'm grateful for what information there is available. These videos and explanations help me cope.

Because of extreme trauma 18 months ago and Covid restrictions keeping me away from in person appointments my severe pain wasn't diagnose correctly until femoral head collapse \stage IV

@@conniemiles5164 I am so sorry! I am going through this as well with my issue also being bi lateral. I am tying to “wait it out” as long as I can, but the pain in my left hip (after core decompression) hurts more than my right hip (collapsed). I am praying for you!

@@jaylahorton4073 I'm sorry, I know the pain is exhausting. I had my leftnhip replaced 2 weeks ago, and it's already less painful than the right. The right isnt AVN, but it did collapse, it was a verticle fracture and they are going to replace it as soon as this one heals.
I was afraid I wouldn't want to do the 2nd surgery, if the 1st was to painful, and it was/is , but the pain of my right hip is worse now, so I have hope.

@@conniemiles5164 You must be my unfortunate twin. Mine is SO, SO bad l can't go on literally if l don't get this soon. Homeless n alone...so sad 5 YEARS..developed blood clot in other leg so be careful. I SCREAM getting in n out of cab for appts. Or to get in bed ..Leg is 99% useless no lifting it, etc. Plus l have incontinence n they're putting in a Stent for blood clot. NO RISK FACTORS FIT..so we must explore. Many wrong diagnosis in GOOD hospitals. Sorry to say most doctors don't deserve title. WOW what a downer..but lm doing it to compare notes n l wish us both TOTAL SUCCESS N HEALTH. Oh yeah maybe my neglected stomach issues so tell me.hope you're better than l. NYC, where are you? XOXO

Best knowledge available on UA-cam about AVN. Have you experienced how predictable the results for core decompression in Stage I in younger patients are? Can't find anything on this.

Does cutting back on drinking beer slow the progression of ANV? My hip has been hurting for 3 months now and i was diagnosed with this last week. I usually drink 4-5 beers a night. I didnt think that was too much but it may have been what let to me developing this disease.

Deceptive thumbnail - after my accessing this video, the figure on this video is running and I accessed this video for its title, but because it appeared like the "science" of avascular necrosis pain was being discussed on this video, but that wasn't the case.
Either way if folks out there assumed that this video was my declaration of my having no more pain, well that wasn't the case. And if folks think this situation means that I was "explaining how my hip pain is gone and my pain while walking has improved, " well thats not the case at all, not even close- but I wish that were the case.
But it's not. I'm doomed to have excruciating hip pain for life it seems.
With that "Crime Victim's Compensation" that was mentioned a number of times on UA-cam some weeks ago, some figures were suggested and seemed as if Compensation is going to me after all of this, well I guess I'd like to consider getting the major surgery on my hip done if that is obtainable. I've had only one companion through all of this - and that is God and physical pain - and the pain gets quite excruciating most times.
The pain hurts, it's embarrassing and it's dehumanizing.
I've needed that surgery for 23+ years.
Someday I hope to get that surgery and live one full day without limping as well as going without hip pain. I can't even remember living like a human being because if I had my way, that surgery would happen.
Who knows what fate has in store.
    Daniel
