The Best Land Based Fishing we Have Ever Had. 5 Yellowtail Kingfish Landed

- November & December are one of the best times of year to chase yellowtail kingfish in New Zealand. The boys had planned to do as much fishing as the weather would allow over November and December. However, there was very little fishing done as the weather was less than ideal. On this trip due to a bad forecast, the boys chose to leave Sojourn at home to brave the elements to fish from the rocks. Everything happens for a reason and the decision to fish land-based leads the boys to the best day they have ever had land-based fishing in NZ. Big packs of hungry yellowtail kingfish turn up and try to eat everything 😁.

Welcome to The Lateral Line, an online fishing show presented by Milan Radonich and Nathan O’Hearn, 2 best mates better described as brothers. They both have a genuine love and respect for everything that New Zealand's outdoors has to offer.
The Lateral Line is all about being out in the wide open spaces with good mates, for days at a time, soaking in New Zealand’s beautiful scenery, laughing out loud, and having as much fun as possible while trying to catch something to cook and eat. Throw in a few big Yellowtail Kingfish and the odd big Snapper and the boys are living their best lives.
Milan and Nathan have been fishing together for over 15 years and had always dreamed about having a custom-built boat that would suit them and their fishing style perfectly. Danye at Marco Boats in their hometown Morrinsville has quite literally made that dream a reality. He took all the ideas the boys had and built a boat with the model name Sojourn. Sojourn meaning “a short stay”.

This really is NZs ultimate fishing show.Thank you for not yelling at the audience. Have commissioned a Sojourn, delivery March. With obvious improvements,upgrades.I also suffer chronic sea sickness. So are having zipwakes installed. Hopefully controlling the pitch and roll, will help with the big sick. It will be interesting to see if you use zipwakes on your new boat. Keep up the amazing work.

Great Video. I think we call those King Fish, Sea Bass here in SoCal not real sure though. I have never seen them hit a surface lure either. Have you given any thought to a Cat? Quit a few Fishing Cats in your part of the world. Love watching your content.
