Holy Molly! The first 48 seconds already helped me out regarding why I always had the cracking noise!! I have been searching the reasons on GoPro homepage and couldn't find any valuable help. You made my life more existing in less than a minute! Thank you! I subscribed to your channel for it
i was struggling so hard , was flipping from one video to other n everyone was beating around the bush... and finally here i found your video ... it took me seconds to find the perfect settings.. thank yo so much
I've been using my Hero 7 since 2020 and never knew how to get rid of the crackling noise with the mic adapter. I assumed it was bad microphones or the adapter socket was weak. NEVER heard about the Wireless Connections setting being the problem. I'm going out and try that this week. Thank you very much.
wooow that cracking noise I always get while recording my riding footage. I was fed up with that and in 48sec I came to know that can be tackled by disabling wirless connection. Boooom thanks for this I will definitely try this :)
You are doing well with your videography work and have helped me, a new GoPro user, again. Keep up the good work. Per your recommendation I got the EDUTIGE ETM-001 and just followed your video and changed the specs per your suggestions. You have saved me a lot of time. If you had one of those "donate" buttons I would have funneled a few $$$ into your account for the time you saved me. Thanks again. ST
This video might have just saved me! I'm really struggling with my audio with the Rode Video micro not being loud enough, but the 20 db boost has background noise. I'll test turning the wifi and wind off, it's the first time I saw it.
@@joeprather1bayarearealtor689 my sound works but it still sounds too quiet with this setup. I bought a 15 dollar lavalier mic which works perfectly with my phone. I sync the sound from that mic to my gopro using a clap sound. It's not perfect, but I didn't manage to find anything better
Another great video and you have made my mind up 100% now, with this mic and this set up, looks idea for my 7 Black. Appreciate you doing these videos buddy, cheers Alan
Hi from Petawawa Ontario Canada 😁🇨🇦 thanks for these awesome videos, you are helping me sooo much..I’m new to the GoPro hero7 black...I’m not very good at technology so I’m not planning on doing any post editing for my video’s..what would be the best settings for just shooting videos and uploading to UA-cam?? Thanks for any help, it’s appreciated..😁❤️ from 🇨🇦🤗
Love from punjab india, i have very little voice output in PC when joined movelink mini 2 godox mic with GoPro 8..in all setting stand ,standard plus., Line in,powered mode,,,, what's solution to get full volume out put
Can you please tell me about your Gopro mount? Especially how and why you have your mic adaptor to your cold shoe. I have one of the plastic vlogging frames with the mic adaptor underneath and I find that I have to bend the cable very much to get it into the Gopro mic jack. Thanks man. Very informative video.
Great simple explanation, however I'm not sure if I have a faulty mic? Do you have to go into pro tune with an external mic? I've set up in preferences but am getting no audio?
I’m having a problem with my audio lagging when I have external power hooked in next to my edituge mic. Have you tried this and found a solution. I film long fishing trips and have to use external power. So far, my only solution is unplugging from the power, starting record, then replugging into the power.
dash verdania and piece out thanks for the video bro now i can st my external mic and sound up, Thanks for sharing i appriciate it very much stay safe and look after yourself.
My gopro is not recording audio of first 3-5 seconds of the video. But without mic adapter, it's totally fine. I already turned of the wireless connection but it's still the same.
Hello and thank you for your advise I have a question because I have exactly the same setup and settings (GoPro 6 + edutige 001) but I have quite a lot of background noise when I don't speak (that I remove on Audacity) : it seems that you don't have background noise so I am wondering if you used a noise an app for noise reduction? One thing, I think that if you use raw for audio you get a .wave fil that is not compressed compare to the original audio on your video file, so I guess you get the best result with the raw file :) sorry for my English Arnaud, from france
No I don't use any noise removal with ETM 001, Have you made sure that you're WiFi and Bluetooth settings are off? That can cause some background noise.. Perhaps RAW audio file will give you the best audio quality possible, Never tried it. If you're in a professional environment, then I guess use it to get the best results. But if you're an average gopro user, using RAW audio files would be an overkill in my opinion.. Cheers!
Finally - watched 3 other videos and finally found one that explained it completely. Great video and keep more coming, please.

Which is the best setting of Ride Wireless Go?
It is good for hero7 white?
You saved me a lot of trouble. I hope GoPro has a fix for this. I’d hate to forget to turn the wifi off before filming.
Thank you so much the best one to explain .
my input/output just says N/A and im using the gopro mic adaptor that's made for the gopro 7 black!! I hate this thing!!
Unplug the adapter and plug it back in. Mine literally just did the same thing.
My gopro is not recording audio of first 3-5 seconds of the video. But without mic adapter, it's totally fine. I already turned of the wireless connection but it's still the same.
I have the same problem, it’s a common GoPro thing..
Thanks for this video. Much appreciated. Peace out!
No worries!
Great,thanks for showing
Thanks for watching!!
Thanks
Great video !!! What mic adapter are you using? Have Gopro7 didn't see many options...thank you

Hey, i bought a different mic adapter, not the one from gopro and it says N/A in audio output. Will the mic still work? Please help me out.
No I don’t think it’ll work. Only with the original GoPro mic adapter it’ll work as far as I know..
@@Romafedorov yup, didn't work. Thanks!
Would this work with the media mode for Gopro 8?
I guess it will..
Shalom Roma, Cpacibo for the info, bought this mic per your advice.
