I always thought the vocalist was a brunette ever since I discovered this band on Spotify. And she turns out to be a blonde. I feel like I was deceived in the best way possible.
It sounds like a pretty abusive type of relationship. This idea of like 'he/she treats me horribly, but I keep coming because no amount of pain will stop me coming back', is tough to hear from someone.

Even if the song sounds really dark I see it more on a optimistic note. She believes the relationship will work in the end even if it hurts her now to be around him.
