Such an impressive build, I had to remind myself that this was a model. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Thank you very much!
Amazing build of the Duel Peterbilt & tanker. Kind of scary just looking at it. Kudos!
Thank you very much!
Duel 1971 the Duel truck scale 1/25 is too expensive in the ebay So the Duel truck scale 1/25 to make the ebay cheaper.
THAT IS AWESOME. MY GRANDSON AND I LOVE THIS MOVIE. YOU ARE A REAL CRAFTSMAN. OUGHT TO MARKET THIS BABY! KEN
Thank you, glad you guys liked it!
Outstanding build. Love all the weathered details.
Thank you very much!
Just AWESOME!!!! Extremely accurate, loving the weathering techniques you used. Very impressive, thanks for sharing the build!!!!
Thank you, glad you liked it!
Wow! Absolutely spot on for a 1/25 scale. I got my tractor built and I'm working on the trailer right now. You really knocked it out of the ballpark! Great job! I'm going to try my hardest to get my 'Duel' model exactly on.
Thank you! If you post pics or a video of your build when you're finished, let us know so we can check it out.
Such a spectacular build of this iconic truck!! Love it, very well done
Thank you!
Great job as always Bill. I love the weathering.
Thank you!
Utterly stunning..! Such an amazing model. This movie (and Convoy) literally got me hooked on American trucks from the age of 14. I'm 52 now and still watch the films. Amazing model
Thank you! Rubber Duck's Mack is on my wanted list, hopefully it'll be something I can get to soon.
Absolutely awesome build, way beyond my skills, I can’t believe you actually included the dip stick on the driver side front fender too! Such a awesome build with excellent attention to detail
Thank you, glad you like it!
Wow Spencer, that is a fantastic looking rig. Great build. Ron
Thank you!
Fantastic job Bill.
Thank you!
Nicely done. Turned out awesome 👌

Very nice, stellar work my friend.
Thank you, much appreciated!
Really, really well done. Your weathering affects are perfect.
Much appreciated, thanks!
Really enjoyed watching this series of videos for this build, I think you nailed it mate. Turned out really nice and looks pretty close to the movie version. Cheers from downunder.
Thank you! It was very much a learning experience, I picked up a lot of information to bring to future truck builds.
Wow, great job!!!!! 👍🤜🤛😉
Thank you!
Spencer, your attention to detail is off the charts, so much so that I was thinking about checking the license plates for accuracy. HOWEVER, I'm pretty positive, like 100 percent, that the motor in the duel truck was a Cummins, and your model shows a Detroit. Just from a sound perspective, as much as I like the sound of the Cummins, I think the Detroit would have been an even better choise. Throw in all the smoke that a Detroil makes, and I think you are really onto something here! Just playing with you. Great job!!!!
Thank you! And from everything I've seen and heard, you are 100% correct on the engine in the original movie truck being a Cummins. But I couldn't resist using the old supercharged V8 as a nod to Dennis Weaver's line about it having a "souped-up diesel."
@@Spencer1984 That's awesome! Thats one of my favorite lines from the movie.
On IMCD the engine is said to be a Cat 1673B for the most used movie truck, the other movie truck used for the extra footage had a Cummins, as did the unused backup truck (which survives today). You can tell the Cat truck by the horizontally mounted air cleaner on the right side.
Beautifully done😍Thank you👍🏻
Thank you!
Wow superb job looks amazing
Thank you!
Turned out amazing!
Thank you!
Love the movie my top 3 evil vehicle The car. Christine. and duel Peterbuilt💪 That truck you did a great job lucky you, to have this piece of art !!
Thank you! I should have included a shot or two of Christine and The Car, both are also in the collection.
I saw your 1/16 scale one on eBay you did a great job on both that and this one, although too expensive for Christmas
Thanks, but that one wasn't mine. This is the only Duel truck I've built, and none of my models are currently (or recently) for sale.
Thats what I call an impresive model! Bog respect man!
Thank you!
I’m not a modeler but this build really interested me. Not sure how you do this on such a small scale but holy cow, how very impressive!
I’ve watched the finished video several times admiring all the detail of that tractor,,, and it is a masterpiece- but somehow the trailer is even more over the top! My god man, great great job!!
Thank you very much! I've gotten more interested in truck builds with this project, and am hoping to start the next one shortly.
This channel deserves more views ;D Awsome channel! The original AMT model kit looks nothing like this, so much scratch building :O
Much appreciated! I'm working on some ideas that will hopefully help out the channel
Saying this is awesome is an understatement
Thank you!
very nice work on the build
Thanks!
Impressive!
Thanks!
Unbelievable masterpiece you're a pro
Thank you!
This is just too awesome!
Thank you!
it looks just like the movie truck

That's Awesome. I'm wanting to build one to
Thanks! If you do, be sure to let us know how it goes
Looks cool!
Thanks!
JUST NOTICED THE AMT.KIT #T-500. Looks like it is marketed. I'll have to look it up. KEN
Yup! I used an original release, but Round 2 has recently reissued this kit and AITM is under new management and producing transkits again.
Omg this is sick great job
Thank you!
😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲!!!
God Bless.

The business.....always check the rear view mirror.

Spot on! Weathered Nicely! Love it!... Any where i could obtain this model??
Thank you! Not finished, but all the components are still available if you want to take a shot at making one.
Nice
Thank you!
Nice. I thought the one in the movie had an air conditioner stuck in the rear window.
Thanks! Yup, it sure did.
Show 👏👏
❤❤very nice😊👍
Thank you!
Are going to make the orange car also? I believe you can take model of a Plymouth duster and a model of the Plymouth belvedere and scratch build the 70 model valiant?
I do plan to make the Valiant some day. While those are the two best kits to start with, the side body contours and roof will still need to be completely scratch built.
Can you build Back to the future models 1, 2 and 3 Deloreans?
I have a Part 1 in the works, being built to look like it did when it first came out of the truck at the beginning of the movie. For the later versions, I'm happy enough with the diecast cars I have for now.
Are you able to do commission work? I've tried over the years to build and model but I just don't have the steady hands for it with my condition. I have always wanted to own this rig and would gladly pay to have it become reality!
Thanks for the interest! Much as I'd like to, my current schedule does not allow for any commission work at the moment.
An amazing model that can be no longer made, AI truck models went out of business and no longer makes any products. It's a damn shame. Because I'd love to build this, but no longer can.
I think the hope was that when Keystone took over from AITM they could keep things rolling - they even had a few new kits being promoted the end of last year. But from what I've heard a combination of factors caused the shop to be closed up. Doug's a great guy any time I interacted with him, so I hope he's doing well.
Unless/until another conversion becomes available, it could still be done the hard way. James Stephens had a very thorough set of instructions for converting the AMT kit in the September/October '84 issue of FineScale Modeler.
4:06 I think the theory is that those vehicle plates on the peterbilt duel truck must have belonged to previous vehicles belonging to previous people the duel truck driver killed while those victims were in the vehicles
That was my understanding of their history as well, it's a cool little Easter egg.
How much for it???
Not for sale, but thanks for the interest!
looks dirty like it belongs
This was my first time weathering something this big, I had to do a fair bit of trial and error
horribly evil looking
I'll count that as a win, thanks!
I'm watching Duel right now on Svengoolie. Great job on the truck build! ⛽🚛🏔🔥😁
Thank you! It's a great movie, I need to watch it again soon.
