I had a violin and was in orchestra in elementary. I couldn’t keep up with it and my parents divorced and I stopped. Then, what’s worse, is my mom sold my violin and we don’t have money to buy or rent another. I’ve also always been very drawn to the piano, and tried teaching myself multiple times on my sisters keyboard but my parents wouldn’t put me in lessons. Didn’t help I’m not very musically inclined, but hard work beats natural talent anyday. Watching this cover brings me extreme nostalgia. I’ve watched studio ghibli since I was little, and that combined with the two instruments I’m in love with but don’t even know how to play brings me great grief. Maybe if my life hadn’t fallen apart I’d know these things. I lost so much valuable time where I could have been progressing in the things I love. Nonetheless the past cannot be changed.

Coming from someone who has played viola for 10 years, music is so good for the soul, and it's beyond therapeutic. It's going to be hard work. But it'll be worth it in the end.
