Kree are really evil and I dont think the captain marvel films gonna tackle the darker side of the race. "Warrior heroes".
They may not, but at the same time the Kree certainly haven't been painted in a positive light on Agents of SHIELD. Their cruelty was played up quite a bit there. Marvel has done a great job with everything so far, I'm withholding judgement until I walk out of the theater. No matter what they do its bound to be pretty awesome.
I still can't get over the fact that the Kree/Skrull War started bcuz the Kree were hella butthurt they lost in their competition
The Kree were like the Spartans. They were bred for hunting and combat and would kill over the slightest insult

The last panel you showed calls the Kree "blue men," but they're colored pink: how did editorial miss that?
Yeah, after finishing this up I realized I should have played up the wrong color skin more. Hands down this was a pretty big slip up as the Kree had been established for some time now.
Not the first time I have heard the one above all point out such a pink/blue depiction reversal on this channel. curious
Tough to pick a winner since the Skrulls have become the go-to villains in marvel universe however it appears the Kree were the original aggressors killing both the Skrull traders and Cotati. The seeds for good, "What If Story: The Skrulls never encountered the Kree."

To be fair, it looked like they wanted slaves, and the Kree wasn't willing to be docile and accept it.
@@Slitheringpeanut I think maybe a better example of the Kree is how the west forced open Japan for trade and fast- forward to Pearl Harbor. ( LOL) Anyways doesn't explain how the poor Cotai did anything but stand around like stoners soaking up the sunlight and the Kree went medieval on them.
I've always thought somebody should do a retcon or at least look at the moment of the Skrulls decision in more detail. We don't get to see things from their perspective - only that of the Kree. Nor do we know for certain which group the Skrulls were going to choose. Anyway, as part of looking at the original events I think the words to hang on are the Skrulls stated the winner would be "whichever group has done the most with themselves." Lets also consider if the Cotati and Kree had their planetoids switched the Cotati would have lost as there wouldn't have been any seeds for them to grow. The Cotati were arguably given resources the Kree didn't have access to.
So the Skrulls in their infinite stupidity created the Kree menace. Interesting. And back when Marvel could present a political situation with depth and panache. After all, neither side of the issue was in the right, both did incredibly stupid things.
Yep. The Skrulls have been painted as "traders" spreading technology, it appears as though they were looking for a king / serf relationship that focused on extrapolating natural resources.
so next time you think of questioning the prime directive or meet someone who does, point them here!
@@ntigdona7487 I agree with you. If the Skrulls had minded their own business, and kept to themselves, and left the Kree alone, they wouldn't have the trouble they're having today!

Now we know what lead to the Kree/Skrull War and why both have been hostile towards each other ever since!
What happened between the Kree and the Skrulls reminded me a little bit of what happened with The Watchers in their origin story.. In that story, the Watchers gave nuclear power to a primitive race, in the hopes of helping them advance their culture. What this race of people did instead, was almost destroying themselves! This lead to the Watchers becoming a race of only Watchers.
Don't matter who started the war the problem lay in no ending in sight.Hence the '10,000 yr and counting 'war.Now that's crazy.
I wonder how the Kree obtained blue skin. Was because of their technological advancement that they evolved?
It should have been blue throughout this episode. I wish I had played that up more but was near the end of the process when I realized that. As for the why of the blue skin, they evolved from Smurfs.

You ever consider a set schedule? Like Saturday or Sunday morning?
I have thought of doing a Wednesday night livestream where I discuss the cosmic titles that came out that week and anything else I am reading. Now that the channel is monetized I might put some of the money towards that at some point but anything of that nature is at least six months out. I can't set a regular schedule to release vids because I don't have enough time to commit to a schedule. When they get ready I post.

No on the Old Gods for the time being. The Old Gods, Cthon, the Scarlet Witch, the twins, etc. might be something I get around to covering in detail some day but not any time soon. That story has a lot of nuance to it and I haven't followed every twist and turn of Wanda and Pietro's story. As for Zom. I might get around to Zom at some point. I had forgotten all about Zom. I might discuss him in an upcoming Marvel Hierarchy video and would love to cover his stories as a whole but as for a whole video - probably at least couple years down the line unless I suddenly get enough subs to quit the day job and focus on vids full time. Sorry to disappoint - on the plus side - lots more content in the pipeline.

But why Kree aren't blue?
At some point in my research I started losing track of the particular "why" of each issue in which it happens. I should have been but wasnt writing it down as went. Most of the time it seems to be a mix of rushed work and/or bad communication with whomever is doing the color.
