Note that some manufacturers use lead based paints for the designs and markings on the outside of their glass bottles. This passes testing because it doesn't leach into the bottle contents, but you can still get trace amounts on your hands, or your babies hands. Colored glass jars often contain lead or cadmium in the glass itself. AFAIK Avent and Lifefactory bottles are safe. It's just a reminder to not take safety for granted, even with something like glass that seems like it should be.
Deciding what kind of material you want to use in your baby bottles is just as important as deciding what to feed your baby! In this vidoe i list the pros and cons of both the GLASS and PLASTIC bottle options, and compare the difference between these two types of materials.

Every baby is different, but essentially, the older the baby gets, the more milk they will drink at a time. My baby was drinking 6 to 7 onzes at 6 months of age. Just buy the 8 onze bottles (if you dont want to get both) and gage with your baby If your baby drinks 3 or 4 onzes, fill the 8 onz bottle appropriately
Hi Sarah! I think Comotomo bottles are great! Comotomo also has really good sippy cups and stage two cups for babies as well! The nipple on the Comotomo is very similar to Dr. BROWNS (so soft, easy latch, and natural shape of breast - making Comotomo bottles a good alternative to breastfed babies). Im not sure if they have a glass option, but they are a thumbs up for me! 🙏🙂 Only con is that they may be difficult for baby to hold at first

I'm unsure what sizes to get There are 4oz and 8oz. Do I need both or should I stick to one size? My worry about the bigger is milk wastage.
