First things first. I love the beard! Not in any way weird, just think it suits you! Second, this build keeps getting better as you get deeper into it. By the time you're finished, it should look gorgeous, and be very practical. Thanks Rich, for giving someone who no longer can, the joy of modifying and building something, without having to get out and get under, as I can't anymore! Thanks from UK.
Hey. If you want to remember your measurements I've got a great device that attaches to your measuring tape. It's a real boss of a thing. Got two still in the blister :)
This is going to be so cool. It's already expanding and getting better :) This just reminds me to keep at my '72 D500 and get it back to road worthy again.
Are you going to video racing back to the scrap yard and getting the hydraulic reservoir? Also, NEVER narrow up a 102" wide flatbed when you mess with heavy stuff. This project is still cool as can be!!
I like your approach to repourpising the old brackets the time it would take to make those would be alot and expensive. Its metal at the end of the day if it works it works
I know we will never see your wife and kids on here and that’s a good thing, but I would love to see the look on her face when you bring something else home lol. Keep up the great work
It sounds like you went to Africa possible mission trip. Great to see you made it back all in one piece even though the beard looks great! Great stuff looking super amazing job. All the best from Surrey BC Canada
It's your build but i cried when you torched all those tie down points off of that bed. I have a 24' 12t tilt trailor with only 6 which is never enough.😢 I am actualy adding side rails. Whish you were closer.
I drove a tandem axle roll off with the twin cylinder reeving system. It is the American style system it works, uses more cable than the single cylinder set up which is a patent design here in B.C. The rails on yours are designed for low clearance. Roll off trucks are handy as hell. I prefer conventional rail over hook lift on big trucks. The hinge system on your rails are for stability the problem with that system it turns into an anchor when you sink in the landfill. I doubt the Fargo will see a landfill or soft ground 😂
Always impresses me how much solo heavy lifting you do, if i could do any of that i definitely would end up breaking/hurting myself😅 caps off to you rich, ps you suit a beard cant wait for the Africa videos
OH MY GOD!!!!!! THE HUMANITY!!!!! poor little truck. i love your videos rich. i'm not sure who would have ever thought using a log splitter to see if those hydralics still worked.
Just use some cheap light pine or fir boards for the flatbed deck and soak them in used oil every once in awhile, they’ll never rot and it’ll give them a nice dark old look 👍
With the amount of restoration and sand blasting you're doing, you should seek a sponsorship with one of those Chinese high-power laser rust vaporisers; no mess, no sand clean, shiny metal.
There's nothing wrong with going overboard on a build that you're enjoying, your that much more likely to use it and get the time and money you spend in it than if you go halfway on it, full send is the only way to get it there sometimes
I bought a land plane at an auction for $50 it was set up to be pulled with a 3-point, I wanted to pull it with my pickup so I used a log splitter and plumbed it in to a hyd cyl then I had a elect hyd valve that I hooked up a wireless winch controller in and set up a trailer 7 blade plug so I could get 12v from my trailer tail light feed. Worked great just had to be carefully not tofully extend or retract the hyd cyl as it would kill the log splitter engine
What if for the hitch plate braces, instead of bolting them to the side rails you build link mount's similar to one used for suspension, and used pins for a quicker connect/disconnect? Don't put any of the required lighting on that plate, if a trailer isn't being used for a trip, leave the plate secured in the up out of the way position so you don't have to mess with it when you get to the destination and unload.
Standard hitch plate on frame would be fine. Plenty of equipment trailers already would reach the distance under the roll off. You would loose too much tow rating with that much hitch setback. DOT in the states would never leave you alone.
Why don't you guys get a knuckle boom/palfinger crane truck for lifting and manipulating stuff in the yard? Would make it so much easier for things like picking that rolloff up off the chassis etc, especially one with a remote control
I like the idea of a camper, a company local to me converts shipping containers to job shacks and moves them with a hook truck. My main question, and im sure rich has thought about it, and canadian laws are different than north american/ minnesotan. Any idea what is your payload gonna be with a single rear axel?
Here idea my uncle use old air compressors that was gas with blow pump he removed it added a hydraulic pump and added a block valve rob from some old equipment and put a frame under it a t basically and use hie three wheeler to pull it around it had quick disconnect hoses to hook up to anything hydraulic he was crafty and inherited old farm and had little of everything motorcycles ,cars tractors, heavier equipment anything he could do by his self jack of all trades sadly nolonger with use but one greatest thing he told me as kid teaching build first motor honda ct90 was u dont need to pay someone when u just need to learn to do it your self then u always have money and i took it to heart no i didn't finish school but i could build u a house or build a vehicle or even electronics it plus being autistic i guess and having kids that are to i try to teach them as much and love watching to learn new stuff so if i ever need atleast i no were to start keep up great work and have wonderful day

Beard at the end looks good, it ages you down for some reason 😆
was thinking the same thing, almost looked like a whole different person.
Yeah beard fits him
Gotta be the only person I've ever seen that facial hair makes a guy look younger LOL
That's all I need, and this lamp, and this ashtray, that's all I need.
Level of feature creep on this build is truly outstanding! 🤣 Love it!
You know, someone should make a thing so you can easily record measurements without needing your phone...
If you know, you know ;)
Maybe even a way to remember a couple of measurements while you’re working.
@@cornboy3Blasphemy
It'd be nice if it attached to the tape measure 🤔😉
😂
The rationalization of expanding the project hits close to home.
Nice! So glad you stuck to your guns and kept this a quick, budget build...😉

Thank you Deboss for all the great videos.
The motivation I needed to go outside and work on my project! Thank you Deboss!
That roll-off is in good condition... the sacrificial panels did their job.
After all that work you could have just left the trailer that bit wider.
Are you going to video racing back to the scrap yard and getting the hydraulic reservoir?
Also, NEVER narrow up a 102" wide flatbed when you mess with heavy stuff.
This project is still cool as can be!!
Something satisfying about the crane taking the old truck apart.
Love your builds and how you reuse so many parts and pieces.
This is an adventure for sure. I didn't see the end of your electric car build. Good video.
Incredible, Jaw dropping video guys. that's going be one sick truck.
I like your approach to repourpising the old brackets the time it would take to make those would be alot and expensive. Its metal at the end of the day if it works it works
That will be a great truck!
Beautifull build!
Holy crap, that Sennebogen scrap handler is a monster! It picked up that poor truck like it is nothing! 😲
Hydraulics are amazing at what they can do
28:09 hope the beard is here to stay 👍
I know we will never see your wife and kids on here and that’s a good thing, but I would love to see the look on her face when you bring something else home lol. Keep up the great work
Seeing Rich with a beard, damn!
Looks good on you! For real!
Rich, you won't complain about Ontario rust after you've worked on vehicles in St John's, NL.
Pure gold; thanks, Rich!!
FARGO all day. everyday. Love the series, keep it coming!
It sounds like you went to Africa possible mission trip. Great to see you made it back all in one piece even though the beard looks great! Great stuff looking super amazing job. All the best from Surrey BC Canada
Significant cheers. Love your videos. Love your content. Cheers from Hamilton Ontario

Rich really needs a telehandler for all the stuff he gets up to now days😂 the poor Kubota is maxxed out.
Rich KEEP THE BEARD!
Been waiting months for this made my day
Very cool!! Btw, check out how the Japanese rollbacks work, theyre excellent for low vehicles!
11:43 Someone should make a product, that helps you remember your measurements ;)
My man that beard makes you look like a totally different person, looks great!
Good job!
Never run out of rust
I'm really happy you're going all out

Seeing Rich pull out his phone to record the measurement immediately made me think of the tape buddy... lol
Always impresses me how much solo heavy lifting you do, if i could do any of that i definitely would end up breaking/hurting myself😅 caps off to you rich, ps you suit a beard cant wait for the Africa videos
Great idea with the claw having the magnet in the center. Never seen that yet.
@15:00 Picks up the truck w/ claw and then the iron scrap.
Digging the beard…….. got the Ron Howard vibe going!!!! Video is great too btw
I truly need to follow you 😉. Thanks for sharing 😊.
Lights on the gator are blinding 🦯🦮
That demolition crane is one bad a$$ machine. 👍👍
love the air tank analogy.
Honestly my favorite vehicle\HD build
epair channe! How are you only 750+K subs, gotta get a video in with Matt Carriker and jump that Million hurdle.
Looking good 👍👍
OH MY GOD!!!!!! THE HUMANITY!!!!! poor little truck. i love your videos rich. i'm not sure who would have ever thought using a log splitter to see if those hydralics still worked.

what the hell beard suits u very well! keep it!

need to do a sweet tail board with deboss and lots of lights maybe the whole truck have dual function lights
I drive that exact same deere for snow plowing in the winter
Dissapointed that you didn’t pass through Zimbabwe but I accept this as an apology😂
dont forget your "safety squints " lol
You could make the side rails swing up from below and latch in place.
Love watching yr videos Brother definitely like old school Trucks
I need to copy the hitch design . Hope u film it in details 💪🏼
You can do a hydraulic extendable tow bar like a tow truck has to carry the weight. Not sure if they have that in na either?
It's kinda weird seeing a gator that nice. We've got a bunch at the mine, and quite frankly they get beaten pretty bad underground
What if for the hitch plate braces, instead of bolting them to the side rails you build link mount's similar to one used for suspension, and used pins for a quicker connect/disconnect?
Don't put any of the required lighting on that plate, if a trailer isn't being used for a trip, leave the plate secured in the up out of the way position so you don't have to mess with it when you get to the destination and unload.
god I love this channel
finally!
AWESOME !!!!
African trip, beard life Rich
11:44 where's the tapeboss?
I think your in the business of making me look bad 😅
This music reminds me of 90s weather channel music
27:40 is that Chace Barber?
low and behold, a CAT 3208 & 5sd does fit in a 1994 ford thunderbird car. the frame doesn't even bottom out... trar
Ok hitch idea: forget bolting the braces, use three point pins and maybe even some lift links for your braces. Easy peasy pin it on and off.
Standard hitch plate on frame would be fine. Plenty of equipment trailers already would reach the distance under the roll off. You would loose too much tow rating with that much hitch setback. DOT in the states would never leave you alone.
The perfect roro is a hiab hook lift. Bugger rolling bins. But RORO's are extinct in Australia and na only has non jibbable hook lifts.
Got that @briansmobile1 look going on with the beard Haha.
Get some hemlock for the deck
Why don't you guys get a knuckle boom/palfinger crane truck for lifting and manipulating stuff in the yard? Would make it so much easier for things like picking that rolloff up off the chassis etc, especially one with a remote control
Slide to 15:00 minutes if you're here for the destruction!
Did you grab the muffler shield❔️❔️❔️ ✌🏻 🧡 🇨🇦.
I feel like I've been rich rolled. 😊
11:39 - Isn't that what the Tape Boss was for? 😅
The “Cargo Fargo”.
Was cutting the frame off the Fargo and replacing it with the roll off ever an option?
Would have made a nice trailer.
11:53 if only you had a tape boss😊
Thought the rule was not tp scrap the donor until project was completed? 😂😂😂
make the rails bolt on since they already match the truck
You are getting to where you need a heavier loader or forklift to handle these big heavy things ole kubota is earning its keep
I like the idea of a camper, a company local to me converts shipping containers to job shacks and moves them with a hook truck. My main question, and im sure rich has thought about it, and canadian laws are different than north american/ minnesotan. Any idea what is your payload gonna be with a single rear axel?
How will the bed slide out, because that’s a crazy load angle?
I think you're going to want the extra width, siderails, and places to tie down on the flatbed...
See if you can fond some apitong wood for the deck on the flatbed
Here idea my uncle use old air compressors that was gas with blow pump he removed it added a hydraulic pump and added a block valve rob from some old equipment and put a frame under it a t basically and use hie three wheeler to pull it around it had quick disconnect hoses to hook up to anything hydraulic he was crafty and inherited old farm and had little of everything motorcycles ,cars tractors, heavier equipment anything he could do by his self jack of all trades sadly nolonger with use but one greatest thing he told me as kid teaching build first motor honda ct90 was u dont need to pay someone when u just need to learn to do it your self then u always have money and i took it to heart no i didn't finish school but i could build u a house or build a vehicle or even electronics it plus being autistic i guess and having kids that are to i try to teach them as much and love watching to learn new stuff so if i ever need atleast i no were to start keep up great work and have wonderful day
It's going to look fucking mint bud as Peg would say from ZIP TIES BIAS PLIES!
How much ?…….. we mouth breathing derelict’s say….. “all of it”…… why? Cause we’re stunned. 😎
I think you need more projects --- ;)
Dont forget to go vote folks this government i belive wants to make these old trucks and cars a thing of the past. Vote red

14:49 sounds kinda like you have a flat or a flat spotted tire
