I appreciate your business!
The nice thing about this brand, is they always come up with some interesting designs, the we can afford, and Timex is one of them, I love it, I enjoy wearing my Q and my Marlin Thank you Teddy for reviewing this amazing brand and watch 👍🏼👍🏼...
I have the red bezel version. Absolutely love it. I replaced the OEM strap with a thicker, slightly lighter brown color strap. Been wearing as my daily beater for a few weeks. Mine is fast about 60 seconds a week. Livable at this price point. This watch has reignited my curiosity in starter or entry watches. Since I got this one, my Rolexes and Omegas have been sitting in the wider and I've been wearing my Orients, Squales, Seikos, etc. much more often. I even ordered the infamous Bill Gates Casio Duro to add to the daily beater rotation. As always, top-notch review.
cons: Cheap miyota movement, non-hack, mineral glass, substandard lume, non-screw down crown, bezel has lots of play and no lume pip. Pros: Decent looks IMO, 24 hour dial numbers are encircled by the hour hand, fairly accurate, beefy leather strap, Aluminum bezel that should age nicely, quick release bars, adequate water resist for most normal activities, Cyclops eye over the date, Cheap ($120 for me). One detail I really like are the tiny indices at the very edge of the circumference of the dial on the outside of the hour markers, lumed little squares framed in metal. I continue to wear this watch about once a week, mostly due to looks and basic function and the fact that if it somehow gets broken, I'm only out a dinner with my wife.
I am a huge fan of this watch. Nice dial and the black case/dial really is perfect for this look. Timex really has stepped it up the last couple years.m!
What a beautiful watch. I really like Timex. They have some of the more interesting watches. I have both the Marlin automatic, a vintage Marlin, and the Timex Q. Really fun watches to wear.
Best looking Timex I've ever seen.
Looks great. I have a Waterbury that’s very nice. These higher end timex are looking great. But a company as huge as timex can afford to make their own in house automatic movement. Also anything over $100 really needs sapphire in this day and age with all the micro brands.
mineral crystal is what's gonna keep me from buying this.
Not saying my results are typical, but I wore my timex expedition chronograph all through grad school and constantly subjected it to use in creeks and rivers (studied threatened and endanged crayfish) and I capped it off with getting dive certification while wearing it. It was rated for 100m and I'd say I only ever went 40ft throughout, but I wore it for hours in the water doing surface supply diving for work. For $60 I can't complain. I would hope that this could do just as well with its 100m rating.
Love this piece! I have the quartz one in blue. It's a great looking, durable knockaround watch.
Yes, you know such an interesting watch. Timex pleases me with its practicality and simplicity. My favorite watches are the Festina chronograph and the casio a 201. But recently I also bought a timex electronic watch, similar in display to the casio a 201 or aa85 blue thunder. I also really liked this model with a brown strap but with a quartz movement. It seems to me that the times watch is more beautiful and interesting than many Casio models. Although I like Casio. I like electronic watches better.
Mine came in yesterday and the crown is now signed T over X.
A nice piece but at that price they've got their work cut out against the likes of, say, Orient. Nice to see that you are still giving entry level watches their due consideration Teddy. Very fair review.
Not only that, for about $100 more you can get a Glycine with a Sellita Swiss movement, screw down signed crown, 200m water resistance, and triple AR coated sapphire crystal. Not to mention a much nicer finished case and rock solid bezel. The design is nicer enough but you can get a hell of a lot more watch for not much more money.
I do think it's great Timex are making some mechanical watches, but non hacking or hand winding is a deal breaker for me.
@@gavanmitchell9095 a very good point Gavan. I must add a Glycine to the fleet soon. The Timex is $100 overpriced unfortunately.
Which glycine cost inly $100 more than the timex navi?
Great watch. I have the original 38mm Quartz. Great value. 👍
one thing that a Miyota 8000 series turns me off is a lack of regulating factor to at least adjust the accuracy to 8 +/- ball park, so no no to me
This watch looks sleek and great casual everyday watch. Good review!
Fantastic review and very well shot. Thanks
Why not use sapphire glass?
@TeddyBaldassare Hii Teddy!! How you doing?? Glad that U have reviewed this watch. I am from India and Timex is ubiquitous here❤️ I own one!!
I am well, Rohan. Thanks for watching!
Looks better than new Seiko 5, and the Miyota movement is a better bet as well.
really happy with the dimensions on this, it'd be cool on black jubilee
That would be a nice combo!
Is it hard to see in the dark? Is there indeglo?
I bought one from costco and it does have hacking. Not sure if that was a costco bonus or maybe an updated feature. I bought mine about a year ago
It looks a lot like the Omega from No Time To Die, I think it's awesome
So weird you can't stop the second hand when you pull the crown to the 2nd or 'C' position. My Seiko Automatic stops.
excellent, great value for the price. nice video!!
great value for the price? are you drunk? this is a rip off for what it offers for that price. timex is shitty value wise.
Thanks for the video
How long is the lum? (Hours)
Where is this watch assembled?
Thanks!
Nice review, but sold out on your website.
Does anyonethink you can actually swim with it? If so, is this kind of leather adequate? Thanks.
This watch resembles the Tudor Black Bay
Can we buy from India as well?
I bought this one except quartz. Quartz is better.
Is it quiet?
What do you think of the grand seiko sbgm239?
It looks sharp. They did a nice job!
@@TeddyBaldassarreReviews sad I won’t get one
Я очень редко вижу обзоры по часам Timex, спасибо автору👍
I am from Guyana, South America. Can I purchase a watch on your website? If I can, what would be the cost for shipping? I am very interested in the Timex Navi XL automatic (totally black). I noticed that it is out of stock at the moment.
Great video
can you make a review about tissot le locle please
What’s the weight??????
Hi there, where are they made? philippines? china?
there should be a sticker about where they are produced. Mine has a PHILIPPINES sticker.
Mainly Philippines but they have excellent quality control in that factory , as they have been there for many years.
that is cool looking!
Its worth it on aale 30% but maybe not at retail.
I'm so disappointed because I found this watch very attractive. No hack, no screw-down crown, crappy $25 Miyota movement with terrible performance, Cheap mineral crystal, cheap plastic case...all for $250? That's an insult. You can buy a far superior watch with a sapphire crystal, excellent NH34 movements from Invicta and Pagani, excellent features, steel bracelets and steel cases. Timex could have hit a home run with this design...instead they drop a piece of crap and put a $250 price tag on it. The cool dial design is all this has going for it.
You can currently find them for less than $100
I'm glad to see Timex making watches in a more contemporary size. I've liked some of the Q series watches, but their 38mm sizes are a definite NO for me. Having said that, Timex still needs to step up to the plate and offer better lume and time-hacking for all of their watches.
There are are other watch brands who offer these features for less money. Timex is getting some media buzz lately, but they should't rely on nostalgia and transient popularity to build their customer base. Timex needs to offer contemporary sizing and up to date features if they don't want to be a mere fad.
20-40 seconds off a day? No, thanks. In this price range I'd take a quartz.
That's standard for most automatic watches in this price range. Some small adjustments to the movement will change that, as regulating a movement is standard practice for most companies and watchmakers.
This watch is so sexy , I will save to cop this one ...
damn this looks like a yacht master.. sexy
i hate this watch!!!!! got the quartz version and couldnt get the case back on
Another Invicta copy! And waiting two years to post again!
Son muy malos estos relojes, basura timex.
