When Ross Valory was a teenager, he was a multi-instrumentalist who played guitar and clarinet. His mother was a major influence on the artist, and he inherited her passion for jazz. When he joined the rock band Journey, though, he was unprepared for what lay ahead. The rocker contributed to Journey, Look into the Future, Escape, Frontiers, and Eclipse as the original bass player. Fans adored Valory's role in Journey, although he and the band broke up multiple times over the years. And just lately, he opened up about reflecting on the past and his feelings over the decisions, even if it's been years.
He needs to be recognized for his bass work.

Well, it pains me to write this. I'm glad they still tour. Last time I saw them was in 2000. First singer after Perry. Fast forward to now, they simply don't have the fluidity nor cohesion they had back in there day. Mind you, if people are still going, then hell yeah keep playing. But for me, the door shut 20 years ago.
I hope that Ross Valory is given the chance to rejoin Journey soon. No disrespect to Todd Jensen, as he is an excellent bass player. However, Ross was a founding member of Journey. so it would be brilliant to see him perform again with Neal, Jonathan, Deen, and Arnel, which was the Revelation-era lineup.
Honestly, if Ross rejoins Journey it should be the 80'-83' line up. They were fantastic together.

Ross didnt quit the band in the 80s he was fired. His and Smiths coke-fueled backstage antics got Perry to deliver an ultimatum to Herbie Herbert- fire them or I quit!

Journey without Perry is just a cover band, covering their own stuff. Perry wrote most of the great songs. The new siniger is just a singer with a similar voice and no writing talent
Journey was way better before they ever brought in Steve Perry or any other high pitch singers who ties their shirts like a girl!!!😆
@@brettcaporale8031 Yeah, they were a great band those first 3 albums before Perry. I saw them live 3 times here in the Bay Area in those days, but once the Infinity album came out, that was the end of Journey for me. I never listened to anything they ever did after that.
