I learnt a lot from this video, thank you if you have any more where can I find them, I'm a newly qualified engineer and I find such clips very helpful
It can be difficult but the direction need to checked. A tip is to look at the top side of the heat exchanger and the dirty side should be the top. Sorry for taking so long in getting back to you.
Can be sensor for hot water not sensing the flow, i.e. water requested by opening the tap. Could also be the threeway valve, which switches water flow to radiators or hot water tap, if that is jammed, it will not be able to give hot water.
Have you drained the boiler before removing the heat exchanger via drain valves on the boiler itself? i am asking because mine doesn't have them and i was wondering how to remove the exchanger without having to drain the whole heating system...Thanks in advance!
Great video as I have exact same boiler and same issue where there is no hot water (although the heating works fine). Where can I order this part please? Is there a part number etc? Thanks
I noticed u had green flashing light I've got old baxi 80he instant . Heating seems OK but hot water hit n miss may start hot then go cold. I had hot water upstairs at 1 point it was dsmn hot 🔥. But if I rub tap in general on its own it don't seem to activate the fkame only if I run 2 taps
Hi ! I would like to descale the boiler ... but I can't figure out where I have to connect the pump to the cold water pipe in and out of the boiler's hot water .. !! In the manual it says cold water connection and hot water connection. Thank you !
ABC Heating Services awesome job, I wanted u to fix my boilers had one issue with boiler noise and the rattling pipes and the other boiler in another property with no hot water just cold coming out... anyways ur too far in Leicester but well done for ur job awesome plumber !!! 👍🏼
It's difficult if you're doing it for the 1st time. I remember I almost cried when I did this the 1st time. As an 18-year-old, just qualified it was an overwhelming experience for my 1st dhw descale.
Hi...i have got the same boiler. It keeps coming on and off on its own.The heating doesn't work.It would come on for 4 secs ,reach 70 C and then come off.No fault codes and plenty of water pressure...Plenty of hot tap water following an exchanger swap....
hi! we had a grundfo's pump & sensor fitted 2yrs ago and last 2 months ago we had problem with hot water and sensor was changed but now having this F.75. Pump dead but upon checking with screw driver it's spindal is rotating. Does it mean the pump is broken again in just 2years? Could it well be just the capacitor & if ever can I put any brand of capacitor as long as it's the same size and voltage. I'm desperate as it is only Saturday. I have booked for the fixed service fee but it is for Tuesday. Hope you can help as it's so hard without hot water & heating this time of the year. I would really be grateful for the reply. Thanks so much !
Hi, there could be many reasons why! If it's only one tap then I would be looking at that bathroom tap 1st. Check to see if the cold water is not mixing with the hot water when you have just the hot side opened.
I'm no expert but it could be the problem in this video or your pump maybe failing. If the pump is failing it won't be able to pump the right amount of hot water through the pipes. I'm having this problem at the moment. Just had a new expansion vessel fitted in my boiler and I asked the engineer why my water isn't so hot and he tested my pump and said it was stuck. He dislodged the impellar in the pump and the water came through hotter but it's not perfect. He said it's probably failing, so will have a new one fitted at some point. Don't know if there are other problems which cause lack of hot water.
Does this apply to when the boiler delivers hot water slowly. In my case it needs to run at medium speed ( so tap not opened to the max ) to produce hot water?
So on an vaillant ecotec plus 837, what would cause the boiler to fire up and then stop firing within a few seconds when demanding hot water and repeat this cycle? Keep getting bouts of hot and cold water. Central heating working ok .
Abz Hussain did u find out what was causing this problem with your boiler? Mine will act normal and then just run cold like I have a set amount of hot water and I’ve ran out. Does it every day. Can’t work out what the problem is
Could be sensor for tap water, if unstable. You could try opening taps at maximum, to make it easier for it to senss the flow. Some boilers have an electronic chip which detects turbulence around a small object in the pipe. Others had a small wheel that rotates when water flows, I think. The ones with chip may need more water flowing to read properly.
You can have a problem also with burning, if fan is jammed, it will stop. If exhaust pipe is clogges, it will stop. There is also a pressure sensor, when fan runs, it should detect lower pressure in the exhaust area, meaning smoke will go out properly. If that pressure sensor is not working fine, or a blockage in exhaust, it will stop as safety measure. You don't want exhaust fumes/gas to remain in the boiler, it may come into the room.
Aqua sensor is part within the boiler which detects if the hot water has been turned on. It would not have anything to do with the debris in the system. I hope that helps.
Hi. I have an issue with aqua plus 362-7. I have hot water but not hot enough. I can have a shower with DHW dial full on and shower mixer only on hot water - NOT mixed with cold water-. The bath isn’t too far from the boiler it’s literally installed on the other side of the bath wall. I wonder if you could help. Many thanks
wlondoner Hi, your boiler has a inbuilt 15 litre power store which if different to the boiler in the video. Which means there are more components involved in delivering you hot water. Does it happen on the basin or the kitchen sink?
@abcheatingservices hi I have burning radiators but no hot water from taps. Green light fires up. Rad inside boiler hot both ends. Pressure seems to drop too any ideas? No leaks

Hi I am currently having trouble with mine. Low flow on Dhw, which is highlighted more so on the shower. I've changed the thermostat cartridge. I've also just changed the heat exchanger on the combi. I have good pressure on the mains. Only thing left is the diverter valve I think. It drives ok and I can't feel any water going to the rads when calling for dhw. Could the problem still be with the diverter and reduce the DHW flow so much?
Hi Daniel, the way to test the diverter valve would be to fire the boiler on hot water when the system is cold, then feel the flow and return pipes under the boiler. (22mm pipes) If there is no temperature difference then your diverter valve should be fine. Does the hot water work on the basin and kitchen taps?
@@Abc_Heating Hi. Thank you for your reply. The hot water works on the taps. No heat getting through diverter to the rads when hot water required. Could be a sensor that detects cold water flowing through boiler, so it can't "see" that u need hot water.
