Yes. Was able to work out stronger and longer. Just got back on it after a long summer of endurance training and very little weight training, so it's funny to see this video pop up!
100% gives you more energy and muscle. Endurance cyclists all attempt to use creatine. Very few don't use it at the professional level, both off season and during performances
funny how the matrix works. Literally only yesterday I had this question in my head. I have a fast runnable trail running race with 4000 feet of climbing in 10 days. My questions is whether I should stop taking Creatine over the next two weeks leading up to the race. The thought being is the trade off of having the extra weight to carry up the hill worth it vs any small benefit for a 3 hour race. Im still not too sure what the correct answer to this would be.
The algorithm! Haha.. I guess it just depends on how much weight gain you feel that creatine has caused versus whether you've experienced any benefits from supplementation. Though, It does typically take about 4-6 weeks for creatine levels to return to baseline once stopping supplementation!
If you started taking creatine at 3-5g per day, it usually takes about 4 weeks to saturate the muscles. So you should start to feel benefits now, if you are a responder to supplementation. Not everyone notices benefits, most notably if they already get a good amount of creatine from their diet. As far as withdrawal reactions, this would be the feeling of no longer experiencing the benefits of creatine supplementation. If you didn't experience any benefits, then it's unlikely that you would experience symptoms of withdrawal once you stop taking creatine. But, you could always taper off creatine slowly to mitigate any risks of feeling fatigued during the time that your muscles return to pre-supplementation creatine levels!
Have you tried creatine? Did you notice any benefits?

@@ZlevelS What a coincidence!! 🙌 Hope your training is going well!

For me, it's a HUGE difference. There's no question I'm stronger and have better endurance. I don't want to cycle off. 😅
The mental benefits are worth any drawbacks in my opinion.

I have been using it for a month. Not sure if I notice anything yet. I heard that you have a withdrawal reaction if you stop using it- Is this true??

@@KirstenAllen Thank you for sharing your knowledge Kirsten❤️
I add it to protein shakes and I don’t notice any difference at all.
Interesting! Not everyone is a responder to creatine, that's too bad!
