Why the double de-clutch? It's unnecessary, costs time and causes premature wear. "Keep turbo spinning" makes no sense, at max revs before changing the turbo is spinning faster than at the end of your double de-clutch exercise.
Had the same problem on my recently bought S60.. The clutch was broken by wrong shifting (better said: "by IDIOT people"). 2000$ was the cost of the fix
Respect! I Love the car, the sound, the looks and the drive.. But with all-do-respect, performance is a bit poor.. Driven different Volvo's D5's: S60 163hp MN, S60 185Hp,MN, S60 185+chip AT. S80 185HP AT... And was looking to buy this new XC70 with 215HP and install a CHIP. but stock 8sec 0-100 and 28sec 100-200 is just a bit skinny.. Every 2.0turbo diesel from about 180hp has this performance..However not the sound and the drive though :)
Well the clutch picks up in the last 1/3 of it's way and in the first 2/3 nothing happens...I am not used to this kind of "clutch behaviour", so that' s why I shift like that...but the car was in Volvo service 3 weeks ago for oil change and they said everything is OK.
+Steve Bell It might have vibrate...the car is 4yrs old and about half of it´s kilometers did by driving around Prague... but the car is my friends company car and in about 2 months ends the operating lease, so it will be someone else´s problem :D
why the hell are you revving between shifts? No need to double clutch bro it's got syncro
Звук приятненький)
Переключения без сброса газа?
Manual?
Man, learn to shift! Poor clutch...
skymind2k I think he double clutches...keeps the RPM up.
J A S P E R sure...keeps rpm up and turbo spinning
why to do it for diesel :)
@@FunWithCarsCZturbo already spins full speed at 2000 rpm

damn right. Anyways, don't they have Diverters
better use the no lift shift if you're still causing premature wear and you gain more performance
I have volvo xc70 2.4D5 2012 215 horse power!! Stock !! Very nice and fast car !!
Me (my dad) have Volvo XC70 2015 D5 polestar! Before it we had XC70 D5 2002. Volvos are just great cars. Safe.Fast.Comfortable.

I do not think that it will have the same performance with the weight of the XC70 and the AWD drive

I think he double clutches...keeps the RPM up.
Надо было на пустом баке ехать. Лишний груз и не малый.
No need to rev a diesel that high to get a quick acceleration, use the torque rev to about 2000-3000 rpm.
It's not Cummins engine, it needs to be revved a bit.
Peak power is above 4k rpm, you need power to accelerate faster, not torque. Middle school physics
@@lilvirtt3577 I actually drive an XC70.
Something wrong with clutch?

+CarGuy How many km/miles on hand?
+Steve Bell About 77 000km
Too early for replacement, but pointer of the tachometer makes one unusual vibration...

Boutght n M5.. went up much faster :risitas:
You don't know how to shift...you lose almost half a second between shifting.
Thats not a D5, it shifts at 4000, diesel never do that
Not automat
