      @Vykk_Draygo 5 років тому +8

      @Mike Pence Because a trainer makes as much sense as using a program to artificially lag your pc. It's not really an exploit in the game mechanics at that point. Why would you even ask that?

    • @annaoder9087
      @annaoder9087 5 років тому +1

      yeah, it's a level 2 challenge allright. And it's although some people think it isn't an exploit when you use external tools ... well in that case it is. All you do is lower your CPUs computing power. You can also do that by using just one of your processer cores (you can assign only one to the game via task manager for example) and start a resource intensive process on the same core (for example this: powershell -Command "while ($true) {}" ). The effect is the same, you don't use additional programs, just normal windows commands. In the end, you're exploiting a game mechanic, where the undo-button should deactivate as soon as there are no points spent. But since that check is a bit laggy, you can exploit it by causing even more lag.

      One of my favorite parts from the game when I first played it after it came out was seeing the name given to the class combinations. I had to look up Haruspex at the time and learned it was the ancient practice of reading the future with animal entrails. It actually makes sense that it'd be the name for hunter + dream (psychic class). They made pretty decent or at least reasonable dual class names for the dozens of possible permutations.

    Well......
    Want some Tea?

    As a hot bean juice drinker. I have no idea how to make a good cup of tea that won't disappoint the queen. I bought some Yorkshire tea, I have my electric kettle primed, and ready. I just don't know the details. How long do I leave the tea bag in, put do I milk in, do I put milk, or tea first? Do I put sugar, how many cubes? The Spiffing Brit! Please drop your vast knowledge down on this humble hot bean juice drinker so he can gain the knowledge of hot leaf juice!

    What a flashback, Titan Quest was one of my favorite games around that time.
    One of the most broken mastery combos in the game is Dream + Hunting, as when combined with certain gear, makes you completely invulnerable to all damage if you manage to hit 100% projectile avoidance and gain sufficiently high defensive ability (2400+ iirc).

      @jamoecw 5 років тому +2

      there are some other combos that literally gave you 100% damage reduction rather than uber defense stats. of course you had to find just the right gear though.

    You usually plummet downwards, by definition, but given tea is involved...

    Every time Spiffing Brit mentions tea, I dump a box of Yorkshire Gold into the ocean. It's a costly practice, but the satisfaction it brings almost equals that of a lovely cup of coffee on a dewy spring morning.
    Those aren't glutes my guy.

    This game’s graphics were insane for it’s time, like utterly absurdly good. The fact that it still looks this good is crazy.

    "Poor Farmer" - actual fact. and what fascinates me about that actual fact is that in times where getting enough food to even SURVIVE was, like, the main occupation of everyone, the ones providing most of it were poor.
    yeah, feudalism, 9 10ths of production just going to the nobles and stuff... but still, it's kinda fascinating

    Titan Quest was the first Game that I really fell in love with, but since my PC back then was crappy as hell, I could do this exploit without any software and on the lowest graphics settings ^^'

    The fact that you use a third party app to practically hack the game,doesn't mean the game itself is unbalanced.

    I: Why are you wearing sunglasses at night? You cannot see.
    B: Well you see... *The Sun never sets on the Empire*
    I: *Gulp*

    You might want to look into "Battle Encoder Shirase" if you need to artificially limit one single application in the future. Its originally intended to lower CPU usage by video editing software, but it might also work for games.

    Spirit/Nature was always my favorite combo, there was a spell in the spirit tree that blasted through enemies doing tons of damage and you could summon a half dozen helpful allies while healing them and yourself.
