Very nice video and excellent instructions but just order the Ultimate Surefire topside upgrade kit from Lakeline LLC about 90 buck and switch your whole striker with the upgrade. Just pull out the whole striker and replace with with the upgrade. No fumbling arounds with springs and pieces to lose. You do not have to take it apart a just one kit already altogether with the steel upgrade to essentially plug in..
That is awesome!! I was not aware of this at the time I upgraded it, I will pin this comment for future viewers that would have been a bit easier for sure, either way, both methods significantly improve the gun.
I love my G3 but those are in my opinion upgrades that you simply have to do, it really changes the handling and even with the cost for the upgrades it’s still a great price overall.
I have found this to also be true for me. At the budget entry point, taurus has cut corners, and the main corners cut haoppen to be the use of the plastic components inside the gun. Rectifying these few small upgrades really helps the performance and feel of the gun overall making it a solid firearm after all is said and done!
It definitely is worth it, pretty straight forward getting it done yourself too, and the fact you can get everything you need off of ebay is a win win.
@TheArmedNational I actually found everything on lakelikellc... gonna swap the barrel out too for a threaded piece. But thanks to you I know what I'm doing.
@@sirniigil4324 Yes I got it from lakeline as well, just through their ebay seller. glad I could help! I know it took me quite some time to figure out how to do all these upgrades which is why I made a video for people just like you and me to make it easier.
@@sirniigil4324 excellent choices, threaded barrels are great for home self defense as you can slap on a silencer at night, saves your ears from hearing damage which to me is crucial.
It took me a while to do this as well, was a great experience finally doing it and figuring it all out. Hopefully it is easier for you with my video I made this exactly for poeple like us. Let me know how you get along!
@@TheArmedNationalparts arrived today. Thanks to your video it took me less than 5 minutes to complete. Headed to the range tomorrow to try everything out.
Great video. I just recently did those upgrades. Remember to save the old parts in case you need warranty work. Polishing the feed ramp on the barrel and trigger parts. If you have a video that would be great.
Yes, good idea to save all spare parts for your gun. I may do a video on that in the future, currently my main EDC is a Canik Mete MC9 however, this taurus g3c I worked on upgrading and then sold it. I probably will buy another G2C or G3C for cheap in the future to continue doing some vids on it though.
@@zlor9304 personal preference, saved up a bit more money and I have come to like Caniks a lot. Gun is clean, trigger is crisp, great pull and reset, Canik comes with a nice all round package in all thier gun purchases too including holsters and accessories, I also like the Mete MC9s magazines as they are cut out at the back at the bottom end, which results in less printing when carrying IWB concealed. It is peronal preference though, and I may be going with Springfield Hellcat instead. I'll make a video about it whenever I do.
I have found on forums and seen pictures where some people have done this and it can work. Bear in mind that Lakeline's threaded barrel is 3.9 inches, and the G3 barrel length is 4 inches, so they are pretty much almost exact length. Only difference would be the G3 barrel will stick out a bit more from the slide and no option to thread, as well as the G3 barrel being relatively cheaper than a threaded barrel from Lakeline. Basically down to aesthetics or which you prefer, do you want the option to thread it to add a compensator or silencer when you want, or just added length for that uncommon look that still functions well and improves accuracy a bit while maintaining the lower weight of the G3C? Up to you! Either would be awesome choices. If you aren't going to use comps or silencers 95% of the time and want to save a bit more money, just get the G3 barrel 4 inches and call it a day.

@TheArmedNational yeah along with your 3 picks I'm swapping the barrel to the gold threaded, and adding a rail instead of the ironsights

Thanks for this video. I just updated these parts on my G3C. Very helpful

I’ve been thinking about doing this for a while now. You sold me. Bought the three parts just now.

Can the barrel of G3 put on G3C? More accurate and long distance?

What holster brand do you use?
For the taurus I use warriorland, they are decent kydex holsters and havent had any problems for them. You can find them on amazon
