Good god its changed! Im an Englishman, from Yorkshire, and i lived for a while in gorseinon, Although i spent nearly every weekend down the city centre, along the kingsway pubs and clubs (2003 to 2005, when pubs and clubs were packed every friday and saturday night) Its changed quite a lot in the past 20 years, but its still swansea! God bless you all, and thank you for making me feel very welcome in youe charming little town.
Thanks for sharing. I've been waiting for someone to upload Swansea video. After watching this video, my journal was overcome by a flood of fond memories!
I just got back to Melbourne from Swansea last month. We took my parents ashes to scatter back in the town where they were born and bred and where all my family live. We stayed at The Morrison Hotel so it was nice to see it here.
Swansea was once a great place to shop, the city centre even on a miserable day like this was packed. It has been going down hill gradually for years which is a pity, it used to be very busy people came from miles to shop here. Anyone who thinks it's anything other thank mediocre wasn't here 20 years ago. Now there are mainly barber shops, phone shops and coffee shops. The kingway and Oxford Street are dead now. I've worked in town for 40 years I used to spend my lunch hour browsing the shops, not much to see these days students are our councils priority now. The marina looks great though .
I’m a yank with very strong welsh heritage on both sides, that grew up on a street called swansea rd. Awesome footage of a great city. Hope to visit sometime. Cheers.
Swansea is on the up since this was filmed in January 2021. We're now in September 2022. More development since then. Everything takes its time. Best wishes from Swansea...

I went into that poundstretcher and I was literally the only person in there from the moment I went in until I left.
Well over ten minutes, sad.

may this pandemic pass quickly and life returns to normal 😷
Indeed, here's hoping!
This will go on all year long
Probably, now that the government have figured out they can just blame us.
