The MUSIC is for the VISITORS and they can enjoy in the way they like it with Dance - Conversation etc. The Musicians will play with the same happiness!
Sound man needs to turn up microphone for singer, and the blabbermouth guy needed a good shushing. I hate to be that guy, but I watch many of these videos, and this is quite problematic in this instance.
I've noticed from Jeff's videos that there are often people in the audience who seem to be there for a cosy chit-chat and raise their voices when the band starts up. Luckily, most people appreciate that they are watching a top-notch band of great musicians and show their respect by listening and applauding. I am a huge fan of 20s and 30s classic jazz and admire the talents of the brilliant musicians, but the constant nattering could put me off visiting Jamboree.
Sadly, you have put your finger on the one disadvantage of this venue. It is very popular with those who like to dance (which they do very well) and some them are also there to socialise quite loudly. There are also some who simply want to drink and chat. I focus on the band, listen to the music and try to shut the chatter out but it certainly registers on the video.
@@UncleWonderful2 Have audience figures increased since you started putting your videos on You Tube? I bet they have! And have the new visitors been mainly jazz fans and dancers? I latched on to your videos because I am a huge fan of Ewan's playing and composing and I love 20s and 30s classic jazz. The band features other top-notch players such as Colin Good on piano, Rico on trumpet and Harry Evans on bass and tuba. All three were at the legendary Whitley Bay Classic Jazz Party last November and since then I have seen them playing at my local jazz club. At both of these venues fans listen intently to the music and any chit chat during numbers will be whispered. Perhaps in time it will happen at Jamboree. Until then, I'll watch the videos.
Audience figures do fluctuate and yesterday they were quite low. The advantage was much less chatter! I don't think my videos have encouraged people to attend.
The SMILE of Arifa Hafiz nearly as "loud" as her voice ...:-))) She deserves some more volume at her microfone.
Love this blues sound.
Reminds me of Johnny Hodges on Longhorn Blues. Beautiful soprano sound.
Wunderschöner Blues und Musiker !
Super Soprano Sax!
In N.O. public is quieter even when the music is played out in the streets!

@@UncleWonderful2 I wish upon opening they'd mention watching the numbers again later on UA-cam. The experience might be enlightening.
