I worked on a military base in Europe decades ago. I told my boss I could wrap gifts. When she saw my packages, that was my only job during the Christmas season. People gave me tips, I have OCD, so it has to be perfect. It comes in handy for cleaning and laundry, my favorites. Weird I know! You did great!

We don’t put any presents for the kids until Christmas morning, partly because I have an almost 2 year old who is wild, but it’s been a tradition since my 13 year old was born because it’s been a tradition of my husband when he was little too!

The kiddos have been asking to wrap presents. I let them wrap their friends and dads yesterday. After about 2 or 3 they were complaining their back hurt etc 😆. Not as fun as they thought! I put all the presents under the tree except for 1 or 2 thats from santa obviously that has to wait, agree with you on keeping up with your marriage making it a priority! Also we always have Ham and yummy sides every year for Christmas. Merry Christmas Ashley!

Ashley....a tip for wrapping. Get a long price of ribbon (4 or 5 feet long) tie your sizzors on one end and tape/pen on the other. Just drape it around your neck. Everything is at arms reach.

Hang in there girl! We have six in the house and starting last Saturday the 2 year old went to the ER and has the flu. So we have spent the week with each getting the flu. So, we will have a quiet Christmas weekend recovering .

We always have Ham for Christmas eve dinner with all kinds of sides like Thanksgiving. My in-laws do Christmas day & always do chicken & dumplings. We put all the gifts out b4 hand and Santa brings the gifts that are unwrapped around the tree Christmas morning. Breakfast is pancakes in little Christmas shapes, bacon, sausage, eggs, grits & hashbrowns 😋
Merry Christmas! I’m also from west Texas and we usually go to the Comanche park in Big spring for Christmas lights.
I wrap less and less. I use those gift boxes with pictures of Santa and candy canes. I even leave the tags on them from the year before and try to put gifts for the same name as last year. I do the same with gift bags. I’m lazy😬

We always have a turkey dinner on Christmas ( my husband doesn’t like ham ) but he does a lot of the cooking so I don’t mind 😂. I put all the wrapped gifts under the tree and then Christmas morning the kids wake up to a stocking & one gift they asked Santa for ( that’s how it was when I was a kid too 😍 ) 🎄⛄️🎄⛄️🎄

I have buckled down on budgeting too. I am using the Mint app it’s a really cool digital budgeting tool that links to your loans and accounts. If you want land come to Indiana. I’m on 5 acres pretty cheap.

Making ham balls, Mac and cheese, green bean casserole, jello salad, rolls, pumpkin pie, cookies. This is what I usually make for Christmas dinner. I make cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

I don't like to wrap gifts at all. I would rather put them in gift bags. I made a cherry cheese cake one yr for xmas now it's the thing I'm expected to make it cause everyone loves it. I don't mind though. Thanks for the video. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas!

Hello Ashley I can relate u with sickness my mom my daughter and myself my daughter a cold which triggered her asthma my mom a cold virus and me bronchitis on day 2 of feeling a bit better ... here in British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦 RSV, influenza A and a tiny bit of covid are going rapid here especially in kids and older teens.. be safe and hope u feel better soon
I live in the country with a 3,200 square foot house 🏡, a 2 car garage and we sit on an acre with 2 lots!! 4 bedroom house, an upstairs bathroom 🚽 and 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs and a full bathroom 🚽 downstairs. We have 5 animals! 3 dogs and 2 cats!! We are hoping to start a family this year!!
In response to your information about starting a UA-cam channel. I don't have one. I'm not interested in starting one but I love to watch the videos and typically what I do is when I find someone that I really like. I watch every channel they have whether it's cleaning whether it's vlogging whether it's meal prep, whatever it is, I watch them all. So not only do you get me as a subscriber on one channel you get me as a subscriber on every channel. Love to watch these they are so motivating.
Hope you are feeling better! You really pushed through n this vlog and wrapping presents. Bless you. Our tradition is we go to my mom's house on Christmas Eve. Christmas eve is our big event vs the day is more relaxed. Mom makes her famous oven baked pork shoulder (seasoned days before) and it bakes for at last 4-5 hours basting it w/the juices to keep it from drying. It's so good. Also she makes a turkey, her famous potato salad, rice and beans, a simple salad and tons of desserts. My Sister usually makes homemade flan and we'll have a chocolate cake, cookies, candies. Yum. Glad to hear all your stories, responses and a few of my ?s made it in the video (I love cake too 🤭). I'm big on wrapping and I'll make it as beautiful with ribbon, adding bells, an ornament, or cranberry sticks with greenery to adorn the gift. I want whomever I'm gifting to feel excited at first glance of their gift. It's not about impression. I want them to see the love and thought put into their gift. I do almost all the wrapping at our house, too. And, yes, the more expensive thicker paper is definitely worth it. I got some Pioneer Woman paper this year, and it was so nice. I suck at wrapping, tho! I always hope it's the thought that counts. 😉 My husband will have to wrap the big stuff because I really can't wrap the big boxes.
I am not sure what we will make for Christmas dinner yet. My friend makes us Irish Cream and we drink that Christmas morning and that's my fave! I never want to do a total sober Christmas morning again. 😂 My kids are grown now, so they don't mind if Mom is a but tipsy. ♡

Hi Ashley I hope you feel better soon especially before Christmas us Mothers never get a day off.
The Christmas wrapping is done so far but got to go Friday grab a few gift cards,money cards a few other things,I have to go get our doggies a couple more gifts especially there cookies and beg’n strips our cat a blanket he’s always laying on the ones that’s soft so I’m going to Burlington to get him one lol.The wrapping is almost done me and my son are the ones that do the Christmas wrapping I like the Christmas shirt boxes it’s so much easier,I just like to get it over and done with.We put all the Christmas presents under the tree Christmas Eve my granddaughter gets a box to open with some night clothes and some Christmas candy inside it’s just a special little thing I like to do for her from me.
Christmas Eve we go to my Mil house for pizza and open up her gifts,Christmas day we go to my mil house again and we both take part in making Christmas dinner for the family I make the Turkey,Mashed potatoes,stuffing,cranberry and corn while my mil makes the Ham,baked beans,gravy and sweet potatoes and the dessert’s.
