I know I've said this a bunch of times but seeing this reminded me of my score, I got 8.5 in speaking on my first IELTS test.
    Here's some of my tips:
    - too fancy words are not needed Ex icing on the cakes, raining cats and dogs...
    - relax and don't stress too much about not knowing the topic, remember the examiner is going to grade you on speaking. In cases that the topic is really out of your knowledge, you can try to change the topic during the speak. When you are talking try to slip a few things and talk about that.
    - if you get stopped midway and asked to talk more generally etc, don't worry that happened to me personally, I believe he did that so he can score me higher

Of course band score not depend on being a native English speaker but it is totally depend on systematic and accuracy of the student's effort in exam. Steven is a little bit nervous with IELTS mock test and Maddie encourage him with a supportive expression. Even though he had nervous with a mock test I love his confident on speaking fluently. I do love his critical thinking in speaking exam his fluency is great to look back.

I felt like the examiner sometimes just reading the written questions whose answers are previously mentioned by the speaker. She needs to be more flexible I think. I’ve been in the situation before where I answered and explained things in details for one question but then the teacher asked me another one whose answer is pretty obvious as I’ve told it right before. So I have to either repeat what I said or thinking something new to say :(( and sometimes I don’t have much idea to share.

Hi IELTS Daily, with regards to the Part 1 speaking. How can someone who is neither in an income-earning job nor a full-time study answer this type of question?

I think he's introvert that's why it's so kind of embarrassing or uncomfortable for him to flow ,... Same happens to me but I have tried to learn how to lie and acting out 😅which come very useful to be "normal" 😂

Haha. Embrace your introvert! Don't be "normal" 😄

    He has a great vocabulary
But I think he is very very worrying about ideas, 🙃
Maybe that's why he sounds like he learnt the answers

Is Saskia the only person who got good feeback and did almost everything correctly? Would like to see other students who perform well as her.

    Hey Chris!
I just took my exam and I'm worried about my part 3. I'm doubting myself whether I answered right or wrong cause the examiner was pointing out questions on my answers.
    Feedbacks will be appreciated.

I watch video from IELTS daily very often, I find your videos have low volume even though I watch on computer. I wish you could record your video with high or proper volume next time.
