I got hockey tape on my ccw glock 43x ccw. Absolutely love it. Hockey tape is perfect for increasing grip while not causing it to be uncomfortable on your stomach/side like talon pro/granulated
I have a Galil made of an old parts kit. I wrapped it around the smooth grip. The end tends to peel away with use, so I recommend wrapping a grip counter-clockwise and ending it near the middle of the right side of the grip where your palm rests so it will peel less.
The 43x is the perfect gun for tape like this. Narrow grip with minimal grip texturing (if your hands are a little sweaty that thing doesnt feel secure in your hand). This tape fixed that issue and it really does shine for that specific curcumstance and if you dont want to stipple your gun. And having a roll of it on hand makes it easy and cheap to replace (ordering talon grips every year gets old). Would regular hockey tape do the trick? Yeah, but at 8 bucks a roll for goon tape I don't mind spending a bit extra to support their business. I'll be real, I did feel a bit underwhelmed with how much I've seen this stuff get hyped up. If they released a version with a tad more "texture" that would fantastic. But I'm sure something like that already exists and I just havent found it yet lol.
Hockey tape also gets a little sticky after a while. Not wash your hand sticky but it's noticeable. I play hockey so using the tape I already have is cheap plus, at least for me, it's better than the stock glock grip texture, plus sweat doesn't cause any issues with it.
I just bought some goon tape. Thought I’d give it a try just for my own experience. It’s all trial and error, the way I see it. Plus, sure it might be a couple of bucks more than hockey tape, but if you’re complaining about a few dollars just for some tape, you have bigger problems lol
I just wanted to give my honest opinion. With shipping you’re paying $14 for one roll. If you buy the one linked in the description, you get two rolls for $10. At that point your paying way more than a few dollars extra. All I’m trying to do is save my viewers time and money. If you think it’s worth buying goon tape, by all means buy it, it doesn’t hurt me any. Thanks for watching and leave a comment. Have a great day.
It's the same thing! Why pay more and wait for it to get shipped. Just go to your local Dicks or Dunham's and get it now for half the cost with way more color options. No brainer! Who pays for hockey tape hype?
@@mrmann44 just to try it for myself? It’s only a couple of dollars more which is not a big deal to me. Why are you so worried about what I do with my money lol

Totally agree man. Hockey tape is the way to go over Goons tape.

That's for the tip. 🤜🤛
I’ve always seen this stuff on guns but didn’t know what it was. Thanks for this video!

I'm going to pick some up. Thanks for the tip.
@@UBRArsenal it adds some thickness, which sucks, but on that sig it shouldn't be too bad
