      Well, technically only once, the time loop doesn't send the universe back in time, it sends your memories, so you can do something different. But the you who sent you memories now doesn't exist, and neither do the Hearthians dying in a supernova.

    For everyone who hasn't played this game: The reason so many people in the comments are adamant for you to try the game is because it's release was massively overshadowed by The Outer Worlds. There was so much more attention towards the latter, and so much confusion between the two, that Outer Wilds was criminally overlooked. Those of us who have played the game know its quality, and know it's a phenomenal experience, and often get.... passionate about introducing new people to the game. Try the game on your own time, as your own choice, but please take this as a sincere recommendation!

    When you think about it, this speedrun is only barely faster than half the time it takes for the longest run possible at 22 minutes, lol

    • @groovemoustache
      @groovemoustache 3 роки тому +9

      Not exactly, it took them 2:31 to do something you have 22 minutes to do [Start of their last loop, to reaching the eye of the Universe], and in total did in 8:58 what most players take 30 to 45 minutes in total to do [Start of their last loop, to reaching the end of the game].
      Here's why:
      The first 2:11 of this speedrun is spent on the first loops to start the game and then unlock sleep, their actual last loops only starts then. Then, they reach the Eye of the Universe at 5:41 where time stops (well not really but you can safely watch the sun go supernova from there and still reach the vortex, where then time effectively stops) = [ 2:31 minutes to do something you have 22 minutes to do]
      Then, for a regular player from the start of their last last loop at the campfire to the end of the game [minus credit] it takes most players about 30 to 45 minutes (I've watched many let's plays), which this speedrunner did in 8:58 total (11:09 minus the first 2:11 minutes) = [in total did in 8:58 minutes what most players take 30 minutes to do]
