"All things must pass", truly touched me.
A lot of things happened to a lot of us during pandemic. Some good, some bad. It's a good reminder that things will get easier and we all must be brave! Thank you for that!
I am from India. Living in UK. I learned from your videos. My British friend she just wondered and asked me where did u learn all these😊. I showed ur video. Thanks much Katherine. Ur video really helping me to communicate❤
That’s fantastic 🤗
My favorite Proverb is "Practice makes perfect", in spanish "La práctica hace al maestro". Developing a skill takes time and effort.
No wonder you've got 100,000 subscribers! You always put your great effort into making videos, which help us a lot to improve our English.

First, congrats on your 100.000 subscribers, dear Kate! Hopefully you're now on your way to half a million! Insane! ;-)
Beautiful lesson Katherine, thank you!
I like idioms and proverbs. Some of my faves (coming to my mind right now) were not quoted so here there are:
Slow and steady wins the race! (Though Rome wasn't built in a day is quite similar indeed:-)
Actions speak louder than words!
It’s better to be safe than sorry
Learn to walk before you run
A problem shared is a problem halved
Where there's a will, there's a way
You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
'One single being you miss and the world is depopulated' / un seul être vous manque et tout est dépeuplé ! (from the magnificent poem 'l'isolement' de Lamartine)
Absence makes the heart grow fonder
Bisous 😘🌹❤
Hello Katharine!! 😀 Loved these proverbs!! 😊 My favorite one is: “Rome wasn’t built in a day”; in Spanish it’s said the same: “Roma no se construyó en un día”, although we also say: “Zamora no se ganó en una hora” 😁😁
Best regards from Spain! 🇪🇸❤️🇬🇧 🤗
A great choice 😊🤗
Congratulations on reaching 100,000 subscribers! Your lessons are very useful and valuable, Katharine.
Thank you so much 🤗🤗
Congratulations 🎉 dear teacher
1 million soon 🔜
So kind 🤗🤗🤗
All of them are great to learn from! The school of life 🏫!
It's nice how you convey how to speak in good and correct English.❤❤
I loved your way of teaching and your laughter. GOD BLESS YOU
🤗🤗
The thing which I like the most about you is the lucid language you learn and I too have become quite lucid.
And there're no words for the sweetness of your voice dear teacher.
Respect from India
So so lovely thank you 🤗🤗
Thank you Katharine 😘
It's pleasnt to listen to teacher Catherine explaining. So I'm using the qualifier of "teacher" even I ignore her appreciation about it. Thanks from Algeria
Actually all of them are worth refreshing our minds about, but let’s say number 6 is my favourite cause we have its equivalent in Arabic : “ if you lose focus on sth, you may lose it” 😂
Thank you Katharine ❤
Lovely 😊☺️
Thank a lot. Wonderful English teacher. Excellent English lesson.
Have nice weekend.
I will see you in the next video ❤ 👍
Thank youuuuu 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
congratulations Katharine ❤️ i'm not surprised if you'll have 1 million subscribers soon cos you're a very lovely teacher! Your voice is relaxing me while learning unlike other teachers they make me panic or anxious 😬 by the way, my husband told me he chose you to be his teacher as well cos you speak to him 😉 we love you 🥰
That is SO LOVELY thank you!!! Lovely people 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗😚😚😚😚
Just FAN-TAS-TIC!!!
Thank you for sharing these proverbs. I am grateful that I found a teacher like you.
🤗🤗🤗🤗
I was lucky enough to find such a dictionary brimming with idiom in a thrift shop,
because they are very rare newprinted , and - or because- they cost you an arm and a leg.
You know what they say.. after I took a gander in second hand book shops...
" Seek and ye will find " ( I especially love the old fashioned proverbs with thy ,thou , thee or ye in it , puzzling away what they exactly mean) 😊
It all paid off. Now you have more than 100,000 subscribers. I have watched you since it was just 2,000 subscribers. By the time, I thought "how on earth she just gets 2,000, her videos are bloody good compared to some". Seeing your channel growing up every is cheerful for me. Love from VietNam
What a wonderful comment to read 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰🥰
My favourite one is "Rome wasn't built in a day" because we're not so much patients nowadays.

Hello Katie!! I wish you a marvelous weekend. Your selection of provrbs is beautiful, but you are fabulous!! Talking of life, I had a teacher of English who used to say, "Life is too short for long words and sentences." I'd like to add two more proverbs: "Life is made up of little things," and "Life is not a bed of roses." Like you, I worship proverbs. Some time ago I worked in Egypt and managed to gather more than 4,000 sayings. Good luck! ❤❤❤
Lovvveeeeee your comment!! Thank youuu!! 😊🤗😊🤗
I think that learning a language is like Rome wasn't built in one day, thank you Katherine, you are lovely💯💯💯💯💯💯
Once bitten, twice Shy. It's very good.

Wow this video is so comfy, idk, I feel so calm and happy)) thank you so much for your work!
My favourite proverb from this list is "To go the extra mile" 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Becuz Kathrin, you are a great teacher.
Your teaching skill that you have mastered ,is amazing. I do have the opinion such an emulating skill has compelled the one lacs and more students to become subscribers of the channel . If I congratulate you as per Indian customs,it is tantamount to disrespect one's Guru( in India teacher is called Guru). That's why I convey pronam( respect /regard) on my personal behalf and on behalf of the rest . Today's proverbs are fantastic.
Lovely comment, thank you 🤗🤗
With a Teatcher Like You i learn more ..

Thanks Karherine for those beautiful 8 proverbs. It reminds me of my school days when our English teacher used to ask us to learn proverbs from 'The Students Companion' book. I really loved learning those proverbs. The best part is it teaches us some moral values in our life. I remember at one time I had learnt some 20-25 proverbs along with the moral lesson.
That’s lovely 🤗🤗

My lullaby to my sleep, thank God for your voice, it’s actually 11:00 pm here in India!
Take care! ❤️
That is soooo lovely! Thank you!
I'm grateful to see you again! I personally like the third proverb because I have interpreted the idiom the whole time in my life as encouraging me to be more active, beyond my limits, and never settle for less in life. As a Korean, when I was a kid, I learned this proverb with a different meaning, due to probably (I’m not sure 100%) 'moss' is indicated in a negative way in Asia, including Korea. However, I recently made new friends from Eastern and Western European countries, the UK, and Australia, and they were familiar with the interpretation that wonderful teacher Katharine explained and I was surprised and fascinated at the same time.
Now, I've decided to use this idiom in both ways depending on my conversation partner. Regardless of interpretation, I think this proverb very practical and valuable in everyday life.Thank you for reading my comment! I'm delighted to share my insights with you😊
🤗🤗🤗
You are so good at explaining these proverbs !
Thank you so much for that, - respect ! 👍
