This is what happens when you have a DUAL solid axle truck. Pot holes at speed cause death wobble. This happens with every brand with dual solid axles.

Last I heard they still aren’t doing much to fix the issue. They’ll replace some things that don’t even resolve the issue. Don’t think they actually know what’s wrong.
Work at a Ford Dealer, there is an extended warranty recall for the steering stabilizer on certain Super Dutys that fix about 80% of the trucks. Death Wobbles can be caused by alignment concerns, shocks, tires, worn front end, and worn steering components (at least in my experience). Ford doesn't call it a "Death Wobble" either, they call it Sustained Steering Occilation or something like that.

Yeah I'm a truck driver and I was in georgia yesterday and I was in the Lakeland ga area on the way back to Florida and a storm hit me hard couldn't see no more than 10ft and wind blowing my empty truck around but on 221 there isn't any where to pull off so I kept rolling and luckily I safely got home and I'm glad yall are ok as well

I was in a wreck pretty recently. I did everything I could to keep my friends and I safe. It was either hit the person that pulled out in front of me, go oncoming traffic, or hit a telephone pole. I hit the the person. Crappy situation but everyone was ok. So happy to see you safe!
Let Justin know he REALLY needs a steering stabilizers on that thing. The same thing happened to my dads old 76 Chevy 4x4, he put a new stabilizer on it and it never happened again. Thats an incredible group you have around you, bless you all!

That was a F-350 dually. There’s a fix for it that Ford will pay for. The death wobble happens on F-150, F-250, and F-350, but not the F-450 because of the different front end setup. It also happens on some Chevys and Dodges.

the way you described the feeling while you lost control is super relatable, i had a similar thing happen to me with some ice on a mountain pass, i lost control and slammed my truck into the side of a mountain with my brother in the passenger seat, i was never scared or afraid for a second it all just happened.

The ford truck shaking is usually something with the stabilizer up front they have a recall out for it i think.

13:05 it's probably the death raddle, it's common on the f-150's
