I hope recent results help people understand why we gave Mexico and Central America 6 slots for SWT. There are potentially 5 players in top 15.
And people still don't know about OG-Mustaine who beat Sparg0 recently in a juicebox (got 2nd place) and yesterday thrashed 8bitman on another tourney lol
Thanks for the support for LATAM, we do appreciate it, specially when you can't find this big events in Mexico and also this prices. As Leo said, smash tournaments are a chance to change our life for Mexicans.
@@sulfuro0503
We should check out other regions of Latin America it would be cool to see the talent and expand those oportunities to more regions to shine
@@Mario-pz2wb
But they aren't that competitive.
Leo talks about Spargo like a protégée. So sweet 3:30
Leo basically passed the torch to him
hello larry facts man how are you doing
@@Shionfromyt not yet I’d say lol
@@PurposeDriven7_ I know
@@frijoless22 Other than cynical pondering over the banality and futility of the human experience, I’d say I’ve had a pretty swell Tuesday :D
Spargo got that Mew2king chair sway.
he was created in a laboratory and has traits of every top smash player in the world
@@1jodielol lol he’s a mutant combination of all the top players
No way, does he have Aspergers/autism?? I know other people who have Aspergers/autism who have the same chair rock. It’s so cool!
@@damarihanson3876
Those are signs of it so its possibly, i know mew2king has said he has it. Those are social disorders but when it comes to gaming they can truly focus which leads them to dominate.
You wrong for that lol
I watched this live from behind the camera, so good, great interview guys
okay and?
@@TheBirdmon17 weirdchamp
You guys should've encouraged Sparg0 to talk a little more. He needs help getting out of his shell!
@@gluessb Nah bro, watch Ultimate Summit and take a shot every time EE makes something about himself when it has nothing to do with him. You’ll get plastered.
@@WhiteVanEpidemic I don’t really care tbh
Is Mexico the best region?
¡A huevo wey!
HOLLOW KNIGHT! Saludos compa
Hahahaha
Aplausos chingadamadre!
con huevos!! Wey!! Así que metele huevos!!
Sparg0 so happy about what Leo is sayin, lovely to see
Yea I'm also from Mexico and I can tell you that life is so hard there. Wages are so low and opportunities are so scarce. People in the U.S. don't realize how many opportunities this country has and that is why Mexicans try their absolute hardest when they move to the U.S.
Amen
Immigrants are always some of the hardest working people no matter where they’re from; Mexico, Asia, Europe, Africa, anywhere. For someone to leave their roots to migrate really shows their tenacity and spirit inside that they want to succeed and/or provide for their children.
That’s why nativism (hatred of immigrants) is the dumbest thing. We always need hard working people, and people to help us grow as a nation. All of the reasons people hate immigrants (crime, disease, laziness) just don’t hold up to scrutiny either.
As an American, I understand how vital immigration is to every part of the economy and our history.
@@OddMeterMusic Thank you man

Sparg0 has what it takes to be the best. I just hope that doesn't stress him in the upcoming majors. Spargo, if you're reading my comment, I wanna tell you that it's important to rest and learn from the other top players. You're growing right now as a competitor so yeah practice and enjoy your journey to the peak.
Mexico, the Sunbelt(Georgia, Florida), Japan, and arguably France or the Neatherlands really do seem to mostly fly under the Scenes radar until now. Glad to see these scenes getting more attention
Which strong players are there in France and the Netherlands? Don't know any to be honest...
@@latinhomerosvergilius7959 I know Gluttony is French but idk anyone from the Netherlands
Oh wow so there are great players in other parts in the world? How bizarre!
Netherlands has Mr. R, Space, iStudying, etc.
So much pressure on Sparg0 man
He can handle it
He put the pressure on himself by what he said in tournament and on twitter
@@harymaby What did he say?
He handled it fine. :)
I really like how every region in smash can develop a distinct playstyle. I remember being shocked by how different the Japanese Brawl players played
Also liked how they touched on how travel and money can hinder a lot of these top players, def has been a constant in Smash
Yeah and Europe is filled with people who like camping it's awful
Good old days of Japanese Brawl! Probably my favorite scene to watch across all games!
Clearly when COVID is dealt with in Japan and the top talent for both regions can come to the US, we’ll need a Mexico vs Japan Crew Battle.
The dream
Why do all these tournaments have to take place in US? Why don't the NA players ever travel to Japan? Home advantage is a thing.
@@Zvn1c probably money. You’re not really going to find gaming prize pools, event budgets, or sponsorships like the ones we have here anywhere else.
Mexico vs Japan CB would be epic
@@Zvn1c Japan tournaments never have prize pools afaik, remember how the prize for winning Evo Japan was a controller
Honestly if the mexican players could travel to other regions there would be ez 20 pgr players just from Mexico, and another factor to have in mind is that if you get the chanse to go to usa or other region you have to meake the trip worth thats why leo after summit is going to stay 1 month in usa, plus u have the mindset that you have to get a good plasement bc u represent your country, your region and your friends thats why a good amount of mexican players got a lot of upsets from the online events MEXICO NEEDS A CHANSE TO SHOW WHAT WE ARE MADE OF
I respect the Mexican players heavy. They’re all so damn good like jeez
@@Khanso1o They're actually so cracked bro. Idk what it is. It's like there's something in the water
Mexico is the Tekken's Pakistan of Smash. The hidden gem filled with the best talent.
As a Jamaican, it is hard to travel/get sponsors over here too.
You can do it!! Sinji was able to become a top player and he's from there iirc.
@@CrimsonArzuros sinji also lives in the US to be fair
imo the best regions at the moment are Tri-State, Mexico, and Japan
and then A tier would be like GA/FL, SoCal, maybe France
Honestly I'm so glad for spargo
It’s hard to say because Japan also comes hard with it. Especially in the super majors.
My boy Tea!!!
Japan's spread of top characters is so intriguing I really want to see how they do against North American players
Here where I go to my locals in the US I placed top 8, when I was in Mexico in my home city I was 0-2 TWICE and I had never gone 0-2 in my entire life even at bigger tournaments, the players were insane overall and every set was difficult. I think Mexico is a really strong region, but I could not tell you why.
I saw twice capitalized and i thought you were talking about the kpop group😭
God I remember when you could hardly get a word out of MKLeo lol
thats like spargo now haha
Lots of people get more sociable as they get older
@@ashketchup7354 it's more about the language barrier, which Americans always underestimate because you hardly ever find yourselves in a situation where people expect you to speak a foreign language. Back then Leo was just learning English.
thank you for making this video, this is a giant step for representation of underrated regions!
this was an amazing interview
Se ve que spargo se siente muy bien al ser alagado por mkleo
Tssss, es que sí, Spargo con un poco de experiencia si se anda volviendo el top 1 del mundo mundial 😬
7:36 *Ríen en mexicano y estadounidense*
Let's go Nair^--- play more Hero 😸
People shouldnt sleep on Hero
Many tournaments ban hero because RNG so people don’t use him because if you main hero you don’t have a good secondary and wanna enter a tournament ether give up or be in a disvantig so people don’t use hero because of that
@@SherriJones7000Orphans That's lame
@@SherriJones7000Orphans not really, there are little to no bans in tournaments in ultimate because it's a relatively balanced game
Nair hero is hype, so is Javi's
I'm sad that Sparg0 didn't say anything
yeah
Can’t blame him, hard to forget that he’s still pretty young, those nerves and the language barrier would definitely make me pretty quiet
love these interviews. Glad to see the channel keep growing
No mas falta que nos den más apoyo para que se armen cosas más grandes aquí uwu
Ojalá, por lo que se ha visto, la escena competitiva en México ha estado creciendo y atrayendo a sponsors shidos
I like how Sparg0 is just sitting there saying nothing hahahaha
Yeah he is the youngest 16 years old I believe
The thing with cosmos is that I feel is that he doesn't know how to play pyra properly, like I know that mythra is far superior but pyra has good tools that I have seen leo and spargo exploit like the range for instance
They're like iñarritu , Del toro and Cuaron of smash bros
Es un hecho que de México salen los jugadores más chingones
Kinda sad no one even mention chags u.u
I wish this interview had a more professional set up. At least some better camera angles.
Hard work plus hours per day pin point weakness and enough sleep.
Básicamente la entrevista es a Leo, sparg0 casi no abre la boca XD
I was kinda disappointed Void didn't use the aegis in this tournament. I felt he had the most optimized punishes and the cleanest neutral. I barely saw lighting buster nor blazing end and now they're down talking the character just because Tweek didn't choke.
There are some wacky takes here
The void sheik was fun tho
Nah I hope Void keeps the Sheik alive, he’s one of the only players to still rep her and let’s be real, no one can really do it like him
I feel like Mexico has the best concentrate of strong top level players, but Japan overall has more quality across their pro players in general if that makes sense
I'ma just wait till the super majors come and the results can speak for themselves.
this channel is amazing so glad Gimr recommended it!
Is Sparg0 nervous rip
Wanted to hear his thoughtssss
He's not lmao
His english is just not good enough to have a conversation. He's just 15

Notice how all the best players in the world for most iterations of the game came from Latin America? Not Americans, not Japanese, not Europeans? MkLeo is Mexican, ZeRo Chilean, Hbox Argentinian.
I've allways thought the same thing!!!!
Mang0's parents are from Costa Rica right?, Isai is of latinoamerican descent too and maybe Ally
@@leonfes exactly. Mang0 is white washed and sees himself as American but grew up in the ghetto Mexican area of California. He’s obviously of Latin American descent and can’t deny it
Nairo is Dominican Republic. The secret to being good at Smash is being Hispanic.

Sparg0 is silent but deadly Haha
Cosmos took that personally. Beat up spargo and near upset Leo. Good shit cosmos let them know.

This is a good video. MKLeo is not the best player in the world. There are some many goats of smash we will never know of and will never get the chance to be known.
Good thing trump wasn’t running this summit…
Higher rates of legal immigration and lower rates illegal immigration from 2016-2019. Less drug and human trafficking when Trump was in office. Also, lower unemployment rates for Latinos during Trump's presidency. Building the wall makes it so we spend less time and money trying to stop criminals and more time and money on getting more good citizens. Trump was far better for Latinos than Biden or Anit-Cuban Obama. Spread the news.
@@_Atlas. Plus most inmigrants are from Central America anyway, not Mexico.
Hell no Tweek can beat all three of them.
We're talking about as a region cumulatively. New England has Marss, for example, but is rarely among talks for the best region.
Lol, just because of one tournament? Leo has destroyed Tweek's carrer in many other tournament before.
Remember this; Leo won the biggest tournament ever against Tweek (EVO2019), never forget that.
Maister’s curb stomped Tweek on many an occasion, yo sag nothing of Leo’s amazing record against him.
Bruh he won one tournament. If he can do what he did a few more times then sure, but it’s only been one tournament.
Naw it’s Northeast america
