      Shabbat is one of the most important mitzvahs in Judaism, it is a mitzvah/law that connects the Jew to God.
      The Sabbath is also called a covenant between God and the Jewish people, and this is the reason for the great excitement

    Okay, I'm not Jewish, so I'm confused. He closed his store. Then? Why he was so proud about that? It's because it's an alcohol store or...?

      He started observing Shabbat, the Jewish Sabbath. He is closing the store Friday night to Saturday night.

      2. (More important) It's not an owners problem how a legal product is used by the consumer. Can I not sell a fast car to someone with multiple speeding tickets? Can I not sell a baseball bat or knife because it may be used as a weapon? Same here, people are responsible for their own actions.
