The trauma of getting failed for the first time in my life even after giving my 100 % and 15-16 hours of study daily still haunts me. Upsc cse is more of a mental strength test than an exam itself.

Job is a piece of work that you do and get paid in return.
You add some value and you get paid in return. Job has no differentiation. And job needs qualification and attributes to do certain work, if someone has prepared for civil services and reached interview stage then definitely that person is a far better planner, executor and superb in terms of knowledge. Any company can make good use of those guys for generalist roles at least.

I am an upsc aspirant. I lost 6 years to this process. I was suffering from depression and suicide thoughts for past two years since i lost confidence in myself. I started to fear future. I think we aspirants also are responsible for this mess. Many including me dont write other exams, dont settle for anything less. There are many chances for these aspirants to get into state pcs, bank but we dont go, the upsc chimera doesnt allow us to do so and we fall for it. I wanted to be a ips officer from my teens and always aspired that. Now i have decided to let go that, i realise life is big with many opportunities, many aspects to focus, grow and experience. I am planning for an entry into IT sector at a low salary but its ok. I felt i needed a change. The process has made me humble. Small failures dont upset me anymore.

    BRAINWASHING starts from childhood Home(family),
    1. Many parents create fear of failure and their consequences.
    2. Parents, Teachers & society creates fascination of being an IAS officer and govt. servant.
    3. Selling chai or having any small business is a matter of shame and they tell us that a business can be failed any time and u you'll become beggar.
    4. These things create monstrous fear from the beginning that experimenting different aspects in life becomes almost impossible.

Things Which Have been Told to me and what I actually Witness In Old Rajindra Nagar is :
    1) This Examination Is Meant For Failure so Careful What you’re Upto
    2) Almost 70-80% Of student there are not Serious Candidate (that’s true)
    3) It’s Only A Curious Moment For all Aspirants for 3-5 years …. Wether you get selected or not after 5 years You won’t find this Interesting at all (even some ex-officer have also told the same)
    4) There is lot of distractions in This process so Be careful
And The Last Thing What one teacher have told us that … Just Have a clear mindset before Entering in this Field that You have to Devote only 2-3 year or 2-3 attempts of UPSC if Not ..Simply Drop this And Choose something else (SATVEER SIR)
Because a Failed (but Serious) candidate of UPSC will Make Wonders In Other field

Focus on getting a job first.
    Start working, form a routine.
    Add preparation to it.
Prepare, work hard, in between also invest time for yourself.
Repeat this till you reach the goal.
Even if you don't pass or make it, you'll always have a plan B.
And don't fall into the people's talks, believe in this. You will succeed.

    Advice from a former aspirant:
    1. Don’t just get carried away by “motivational videos” and articles and jump into this without making realistic analysis of your capabilities and plan your attempts.
    2. Don’t make it a marathon. (Give 2 to 3 attempts max). If it doesn’t work out then please get out of this cycle. Please don’t blindly apply hoping that in next attempt it might happen.
    3. Most importantly there is a lot to explore and achieve in this life and UPSC is not the only means to do it. There are plenty of opportunities out there waiting for you. Which will fetch you money, respect etc etc
Bottom line is whichever field you choose in life do it only because you want to and not for weak reasons or having second thoughts. BE CLEAR IN YOUR THOUGHTS!!
    Good luck, god bless 👍

Itna youth agar businesses banane lagega, chahe chhota chahe big corporates toh is desh me growth badegi and jo bacha business nhi bana payega voh inme job kar sakega! Some aspirants attend one coaching class for prelims preparation, then some other coaching class for mains exam preparation and a different one for interview. Some people attend multiple mock interviews from different coaching institutes. So when someone gets selected, they would be a student in the records of 2-3 coaching classes. Is this only the fault of UPSC!? That is making students poor? What about the corporate world you can see Mohak's video titled reality of BA graduates, wherein he described how BA students lack the appropriate skills and opportunities to do better in corporate world. Definitely a BA graduate in Economics bags positions of Business Analysts, Business Consultant. But people from other backgrounds rarely have job roles for their subjects like History, Political Science. A few organisation like CSEP, IDR etc hire but a very less amount. Other group of graduates is ftom commerce and science background commerce people either opt for CA, MBA further or they too opt preparing for government sector, even in science background this is the same trend, degrees mostly related to computer or mathematics background get some private jobs as data analysts, data scientist via college placements but again how much. I studied from BHU where the highest placement record was 60-70% that was only for statistics department, MCA and mathematics dept dont even have a placement cell. This is the situation of a top college ultimately rest of the students either keep looking for off campus opportunities or go again for govt. If we talk about skills then the industry is actually very demanding in terms of skills and experience, a very few companies offer jobs to freshers even when we talk about skills like programming etc then the level of education isn't also good at college level. Paid courses do lack in terms of practical knowledge and deep understanding of the matter that a company needs. There are many factors and both the govt and private even colleges and education system are responsible for high unemployment in this country. 🙏🏽

So how you're gonna get skilled through udemy etc then let me tell you those courses sucks plus companies don't even give a shit about such courses. Institutions like ISI offer exceptional placements plus a great research exposure so how is it possible!? Because they continuously update courses with relevant material that is required in the industry summer internships are also there. There are only a handful of colleges in India, the darkest realities of the education system are seen in small towns.

And shares all about the competition and success rate. So that students shouldn't be trapped. Also tells about plan B and other career opportunities.

Civil service officers and other government employees have social media and they portray themselves as some kind of heroes, so the people who want to become an influencer and do something good with their lives both crazy about it. my neighbour, who has passed most of her exams with low marks and completed her graduation during Corona even in which she didn't submit her assignments is now living in Delhi to prepare for UPSC.

Similar to under grad MBA, law programmes which are of 5 years ….Create a national administrative academy which must conduct entrance exams after 12 std and admit the selected students for a full time 5 year course on administration. After completion of this programme, they must be recruited into IAS, IPS etc
Advantage: students won’t have to waste their years post 23…only serious students who dream of a career in administration will undertake preparation and by the age of 18 they have a clarity

I always felt bad when no mainstream media or youtube channel not uttered anything about the failure rate of theae examinations. Why always people talk about those who are successful & became IAS or IPS but not about people who just missed getting qualified & ended up as nobody.

To crack upsc, I belive you should understand syllabus and not to belive blindly on any coaching classes. I'm also an UPSC aspirant and I am preparering myself because I belive I can. Well, this video is simple and straight belive yourself, don't take any kind of stress and yes, alway have a backup plan ASPIRANTS. Please try to understand that don't totally indulge yourself in this preparation. No need to study 15 or 16 hours per day your body need rest . Also you must revise every thing you studied. Most important don't just make notes don't just read, understand what you are studying. Please don't get scammed by coachings just belive in yourself aspirants.

Since 99.99% fail in exams, those who pass considered as Guinness world record holder. Especially if they are female. When they are in love, they are in the news, when they marry they invite ministers then they are in the news, when they got divorced they are in the news, when then re-marry they are in the news, when they got pregnant they are in the news. They have million of fan followers in instagram- twitter just like Hollywood celebrity
After all , UPSC just select govt. servants( yes , they are just servants) and more than 1000 servants are made each year.

Govt isme kya kare? Govt ne kya notice diya hua hya ki sabko ias ips banna hya?? Jitne sanctioned vacant post rahega utna hi seat ke liye exam ka advt nikalta hya. Yeh to ek society ka dabab hya ki apne beta-beti ko sarkari job e milna chahiye ya fir doctor/engineer. Kisiko koi start-up nahi kholna. Yaha ke iit wale dusre desho me jake naukri karte hya unke under. Yaha koi start-up kholo, dusro to naukri ka mauka do apne cpmpany me. Haa isme bohot risk hya, lekin bina risk ke koi elon musk nahi bana, aur nahi mark zuckerberg. Karne ke liye bohot kuch kaam kiya ja sakta hya, par humare hi samaj me bhed-bhao hya ki ye kam chota, ye kam bada. Yaha to upsc ka aisa craze hya ki doctor-engineers bhi apna kaam chhod kar ias ban rahe hya.

Youth ke unemployment ke liye govt responsible nahi hai.
Indian govt + states govt hardly have 3-4% job. ( What about those 96- 97% youth population )
    Solution:-
    1. Youth should focus on skills
Ex - Geeta gopinathan ( self made )
    2. Setup more manufacturing and industry unit.
Ex - Adani Ambani Tata Mahindra etv

It's not always one party's fault. I am also aspirant. But i am learning new things, i love learning new knowledge. I have a degree. And it's my choice. And no one is forcing me to do it. I choose this path. Not all cases are same. I never went for coachings. I believe People can see what's right and wrong. However, i agree, here, gov's necessary steps are required. Like separating exam, like changes in exam patterns, increasing seat vacancy etc etc. In this way, coaching institutions should be restricted in many ways.
