Melbourne, the second largest city in Australia, is home to approximately 627 completed high-rise buildings. Of those completed and or topped-out, 35 buildings are defined as "skyscrapers" (buildings which reach a height of at least 150 metres (490 ft)); more than any other city in Australia. Here is the new video of some of best buildings that are currently under construction in melbourne and are planned to rise. This video ranks melbourne skyscrapers that stand at least 150 meter tall .

What a beautiful, modern city skyline. I love some of the cutting edge modernist skyscrapers. On a more serious note, I hope that city officials in Melbourne are taking the very real scenario of more heavy traffic on city streets and arterials that is being generated by all this latest development.

Simply stunning....huge opportunities......simply the best city on the planet, pity my own small island of Jersey only allows porta cabin sized square blocks.......Melbourne leads, as simple as that....good luck.

The worlds tallest building was actually meant to be in Melbourne docklands but the plans were sold to Dubai. Not joking, look up Grollo Tower

I just Melbourne Victoria Australia we have great Sports like the AFL and soccer and more music and movies and landmarks and train and trams it is a happy city and the very best in the world
It's a shame One Queensbridge never went ahead, it looked amazing, and Q1 would no longer hold the tallest title with its spire that definitely counts. The Green Spine does start construction soon though; I still wait for the BMW site to disappear.

Many years don't go there
Most of these buildings just look stupid. Form should always be second to function in a normal building. Great architects can blend them to be equal, but these proposals are all form and not very functional in the longer term. A waste of money that in 15 years will look dated like 1970s décor.

These are boring designs....... maybe they should have a look at the leading edge designs of High rise towers in UAE eg Dubai or Abu Dhabi, and msot these engineers and/or designers are aussies.........

Sorry but those super skinny pencil towers in Dubai are ugly. Also Dubai is fake, has no cultural identity and is only catered for the wealthy, not what I want Melbourne to become.
