This is how many people really love watching Chet and Dougo
👇🏾
So much fun with Doug :). Very heartwarming that he needed to explain his mistake himself. That honesty and integrity generation is indeed heading toward retirement lol :(,but their kids are the bright spot to carry on. Doug, you are far too healthy and intelligent to retire and I am sure that tons of us old folks would miss you on this channel...keep up the good work and the great videos...Chet and Nicole also need all of your wisdom for years to come :).
Cannot get enough of Dougo, maybe he could have his own show?!
Dougo is always good entertainment
I take care of my mom who has Dementia and most days she doesn't know my name and I just wanted to say Thank You Chet for putting out awesome vlogs and giving me time to escape from reality if just for 15 minutes! You and your family are the best, thank you!
I know how it is looking after your mum with dementia as I lost my mum and year ago as I was her carer. It's really hard but remember the good times.
AMEN
Love a day with Dougo 😀
Really enjoy hearing what Doug has to say and really glad he does these videos with Chet. Great stuff as always guys! Have a great day!
You ain't getting off that easy with a corner room in the Mursing or assisted living home Old Man Larson. There's work to do, and it won't do itself. Cheers Buddy. Quit beating yourself up, your a good guy. You don't deserve it.
The saying Dougo is, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Have faith in God🙏🙏🙏
Get a pail of really hot water and stick the end of the hose in for a few minutes and it will slide over that connecter really easy. Has worked for Me quite a few times.
Agreed, I have even had to do what you did plus put barb fitting in the freezer for a bit because I fought it so much. Expand with heat on one end and shrink the other end by freezing. Some work without doing any of that and others cost you 4” of your hose 😂😂
Grease, lube the tube, and it will slide right in.
I was going to suggest a heat gun.
A propane hand held torch
Block of wood and a sledge hammer will show it who's boss too.
Doug, i said it before and I'll say it again your a good man don't be so hard on yourself. No one got hurt and that's the most important part. Love that you guys are so open about what y'all do and let us tag along.👍👍
Dougo you can put wireless cameras on in the bins with a monitor in the control room. Than you can see if the right grain bin and you can see how full the bin is without having to climb the bin. My son did this for the farmer he helps it works well.
It's what doesn't kill you makes you stronger 👍
Oh dougo everybody has bad weeks the next will be great and having the big Swede film never thought that would have happen first for everything keep up good work Chet and dougo
I’m a Doug too. I understand. You are a little younger than I am and I can assure you it will be alright. Hang in there and it will all work out. Love you guys honesty. 👍✌️🇺🇸!!
Papa Larson... you should not feel bad... we've ALL been there at one time or another... it's just extra crappy when the whole world's watching !... but you're loved here in Idaho
Corner room at the nursing home......lmfao😂😂😂😂. It’s ok Dougo, just give it a week and someone else will screw up and take the heat off of you.😁
I love watching your videos
Small tip with putting hose ends on Chet, Heat a pot of water ( we used to use a metal coffee can and a torch) and dip the hose in the hot water. they will slide right on like butter.
Dougo cam is amazing
Get a bucket of really hot water let the end of the hose soak for a little. Makes life a lot easier.
Dawn soap, a bit of water, and if worse comes to worse, a hair dryer or heat gun used around the hose end before you stick it on the Banjo coupler, helps.
Love the Dougo cam. He ALWAYS has words of wisdom or..........something like that. It's also a really good video when Chet has the guns out!!!💪You all stay safe!!👍👍
Don’t feel bad, when I was working my way through college with an electrical company, I was in charge of filling up all of work trucks. I was in a hurry one morning and drove off with the gas pump nozzle still in the fill hole. Needless to say, when I drove off, the hose ripped away from the gas pump. It was in slow motion. I lived. In other words $hit happens. Never retreat. 👊🏼👊🏼 😂
A true leader is what Mr . Dougo is. Period. Thats for the videos. Great content and great learning content. Thank you!
The trick is to heat up the hose before sliding it on. You can put the end in a bucket of boiling hot water to heat it up or use a heat gun.
When you two farm boys want to play with flexible piping again, before trying to shove it onto fittings try soaking the end of the pipe in a bucket of HOT water.
It's amazing how easy it is to shove something hard into something soft when it's warm......
You also won't lose 4 inches ever again.
Love ya Dougo 👍🙂 cheers from Australia
Dougo is a wise and smart men and dad. I wish my dad was a little like him. Perhapse of the Markerprobs 😂
Now you need to get a plastic watering troff that fits over that pump cut out for the hoses so the pump is protected from the elements
I love you and your family.
It will all be fine Mr. Larson. Nobody got hurt. We all went home.
yea right poor Doug has to put up with ched
Awesome video! I loved watching chet and the big swede struggle with spray hoses that was hilarious!
Chet the trick to putting those ends on the hose is warm the end of the hose up to soften it and make it more plyable or take a piece of rope and a large screwdriver or piece of rear end tie the hose 1 foot up the hose go down over the fitting and back up the other side of the hose and use the screwdriver and on one side use the driver to start a twist on the rope and it will pull the fitting right into the hose . Would be Easter to show you than to explain it but it does work slick and easy
I really like the humility Doug has shown regarding the bean kerfluffle. Stuff happens but he didn’t hid from it or try to pin it on something or someone else. That’s inspirational. Any chance Nicole might model that t shirt before it goes to the big rag bag? That too would be inspirational.
I work in commercial spraying business and we make hoses all time, trick is to heat the hose, especially the more rubber style hoses, but put some oil or grease on the barb fitting and inside the hose and then tap it on ground and slide right in usually.
The saying is whatever dosent kill you makes you stronger
Dougo love your work.
Us 120 pound guys have to struggle with lifting at times but we can get into tight spaces. Those Honda motors are very handy and well built . Nice video stay safe and farm on my friends !
the wise father and the playful Son and farmhand 🤣 There was just so much innuendo play there tween Chet and the big Swede, great to watch guys 😃
Old guys and technology are the best!
"That's my story and I'm stickin' to it - what a week". "I'd like the corner room at the nursing home - put me in the corner room." Better days coming Dougo! Great lookin' pump Chet... Good thing the Big Swede showed up, you never would have gotten that little job done.! Good Video!
Best channel going. Thanks
Try hitting the hose with a torch to lightly heat it up and the hose end will slide onto the fittings much easier than lube. When it cools it will shrink tight. Thanks again for your great work keeping us entertained
Loved the ride with Doug. (You boys quit picking on your dad!)
Chet if you use a heat gun to warm up the hose it will slide on so easy.
7:35 “spinal!”
Not too many people will get that one. 😂 “I broke my back. My back is broke. Spinal.” 😂 ole mike Tyson
Doug is awesome!
Dougo it was good to see you on the video. We all make mistakes the keep is if we learn from them. Great Job.
Dugo don't beat yourself too much, with what you guys have going it's bound to happen. Life goes on, What don't kill you, makes you stronger. Of course who ever said that probably is in a crazy house somewhere.
You took ownership, don't beat yourself to death. Take a deep breath and move on. You have countermeasure in place now. Should be all good!! Be safe!!
Doug is great to watch, love that guy. Great video Doug, love watching your videos. Chet gets it from you. Great job guys, love watching.
We use a propane torch to heat the end of the hoses like those to help the break loose. Also tire mounting compound(tire goop as we call it) works great for lube and doesn’t effect pumps or sprayers
Great video and we all love watching Chet, Dougo and the Big Sweed working hard together. Even if its a bad week like you boys seem to be having this week. Even if the Big Sweed did get stuck in the wet spot. See Dougo it happens to every one at some point and as you said the Big Sweed blamed the tracks! As my gramps used to say- A bad workman always blames his tools. This is when something goes wrong.
Don’t get upset Dougo I don’t use a computer integrated system for loading and unloading bins for that exact reason don’t trust it. I still use a manual pulling on a wheel so every time I change bins for loading I climb all the way up and go check the bin before I start dumping crop because I never want to make a mistake like that ever again plus my elevator does all my crop bins and also all my dry fert storage bins as well. The last thing I want is to drop like sulfur into a bin of wheat or barley haha. Love the videos guys some reading material take that to the bathroom your a good man Dougo!
Dougo great job with camera looking like a champ on the screen
Heat it up boys!!!!
Just a little helper with putting your fittings into your hoses, boil a big pot of water and put the hose end in the hot water and slide the coupler on easy as, love your channel watching from New Zealand
Dougo is so much fun to watch!!👍😂
Dugo was excellent video!!! It happens y’all learned so go forward. Chet you need roof over new water pump. It’s directly under roof run off. Not good
Enjoyed
Want that pump to last a little longer? Put a little roof over it so the water from the roof don’t run down onto it. Also, change the oil after a few hours of running. I know they say you don’t really need to do a break in on engines these days but in my eyes that’s a way of making sure any engineered failure actually works so that you have to buy a new one. Let it rip for a while and wear in and swap that dirty oil. :)
Wonderful video
When you have 2 quad tracks and a yankum rope stuck is no big deal
Your dad has a lot of good to say I enjoy watching both of you 😊😊😊
Great video, great family from Canada !
Love story time with Dougo !!! I really think it should be a regular thing!! What's up Dougo!
Dawn dish soap will lube the fitting so it slips right on. I did my sprayer trailer with 3” line and it made it easy.
Quality content of true farming!!
Love all the videos
Dougo, bad things happen to best of us, don't beat yourself up.
Grease gun grease works the best for those banjo fitting. And that bumblebee hose
Nice Tonga Grader by the door there.
Douglas, my dude, don’t beat yourself up about it. Yeah it sucked to have to clean it but in 6 months it will be a funny story. And you guys found a way to keep it light rather than getting pissed. Always a better way to handle it.
Heat the yellow water pipe up. Boil a kettle and hold it for 20 seconds until its softer. Then you can fit it around the pump and it will cool and harden
Just an FYI next time you gotta put a banjo fitting on and you can't get it heat up your hose a little bit it swell up the hose and then you should be able slide everything on
I see the Tonka road grader ready to help out on the township roads.
Great video.
Dougo, You’re a good man. Don’t be so hard on yourself!
Honda small engines. If they don’t start by the 3rd pull. 1: turn the on/off switch to On. 2: put gas in it. 3: you’ve ran it way to long without checking the oil. Add oil. 4: change the spark plug.
There the best ever.
Great video Guys
Glad you enjoyed it
Get a heat gun. You can use it to soften up the hose. It will slip right on the Banjo fitting. Be careful, you can melt the hose with the heat gun. Works great for taking off the hose if needed.
hope you have built a cover for all that pump and battery by now god bless
Chet. The sweed looks like he would be a good running mate for some bar clearing.
Nice ice cold Keystone to end the day? Thank you for put these videos out
Dougo is pretty funny! Cant stop laughing.
Water running off that tin roof right on your new Honda pump!!
Another great video. You guys are a hoot.
A day with Dougo is like a week with anybody else!
You could also use hockey pucks under the new water pump
Chet, you got a grader to go with the rest of your construction stuff! Must be Dougo's, I have a Tonka almost like it (older) on my shelf the only thing I have from my childhood.
I use my electric heat gun to warm up the plastic hose and also use dawn soap for lubricant. Great fun at Larson Farms.
I usually take the cutting torch heat the hose up and u can slide that coupler right on
The struggle bus 🚌 gotta love it
Thanks for another great video, that hose sure put up a fight but you won😁✅
Heat gun works wonders on them hoses
If you are ever trying to convince a girl that you will be gentle.. dont let her see you fitting that hose up 😬😂
i am surprised the Pentele pitch hasn't been ripped off the front of that tractor yet, they dont take mutch to break. must have a really good one.
As a farmer when you see the price of something in the store, let's say a new TV. Do you see it as that cost 5000 bushels of corn?
Try not to think about it lol.
Like a box of frosted flakes costs 2 bushels
encore une belle vidéo du matériel magnifique que vous avez c'est magnifique continuez comme ça cordialement philippe
Chet on your battery you should get a little solar charger and get a trickle charger to keep the battery charged but get one with auto shut off floater to auto on when volts drop to low. Just an idea.
Best UA-cam I watch thanks for the good laughs
He needed to use the heat gun to heat the hose up to get that fitting on without lube but you use what you have with the knowledge you currently have.
10:09 "I'm so pumped for this thing"...
Well of course you are, it's a pump after all. :-)
C'est tout de même très complique tout ce matériel pour assurer les traitements en toute sécurité, bravo à vous de si bien maitriser tout ceci👍👍👍
Le CASE IH est toujours aussi efficace 😍
What about an Eric cam ? He probably has some words of wisdom and good footage. Spraying for weeds has been great this year for our area. We second passed our beans on Saturday . We have been harvesting winter wheat and planting soybeans right behind the combine for double crops . Nice video stay safe and farm on my friends !
