I am definitely with you...MORE IS MORE!! I rarely begin with white, too stark. But I love what you did with the crackle and the inking, they make a huge difference.
Haha we have a pretty good club going here for the "more is more" crafters! I love the possibilities that come with a white background, but subtle textures, wood grain, brick, etc are really nice backgrounds too.
Beautiful! I need to work on doing “more” to my layouts. I never remember to use second generation and blending brushes. Thank you for the great suggestions!
Thank you so much! I'm actually teaching this as a class in the CDT membership group next week. If you're not already in there, we will be opening registration in a few weeks. What a great idea to combine The Good Life with the fall paper from Cozy up, it looks so good! I love your ephemera, I actually made some similar pumpkins for cards, so pretty! Your daughter looks like see was having so much fun in those photos.
I was surprised how well the papers worked together and it kinda reminds me of Crisp Air (one of my fav packs of all time 😂) and I might be slightly addicted to making my own ephemera now! I think we’ll be going back to the pumpkin house again this year since she seemed pretty excited about that idea. 😂
I love your “more is more”. I am fairly new to scrapbooking and I am still learning-I wish I could add embellishments like you do! I would really like to see a video on how you create your own ephemera. Keep doing what you do- you are amazing!
Welcome to scrapbooking! That is so exciting that you're new to the hobby. The layering and adding embellishments is something that comes with lots of practice and learning design principles. I think after doing it for so long (over 20 years) I've learned what I like and what I think looks good. I'm sure you'll find the more you do it, the easier it'll come to you too. @@ChelseyVorosmarty thank you. I have I signed up for the wait list. When membership opens and I join would I have access to previous information (like your ephemera class)? Also I have signed up for the 31 days of Christmas Cards for the 2nd year-I love playing along last year! Can’t wait to hear more about the membership group.
@@valleegrl7so happy to hear you’re coming back for another 31 days, it’s going to be an awesome month! For the membership you will have access to the past almost 2 years of classes and tips including my ephemera class! It depends on my layout; but for extra special layouts I AM IN THE “more is more club,” and I like to add all of the extras. If I’m working on a graduation scrapbook in the spring, I’m just in the “get it done” mode and will even pull out the Cut Above kits so I can crank out the layouts ASAP. 😂 my favorite extras depends on the layout. I love to add dimensional and lots of different textures. You layout and card are both beautiful, as always!
There is definitely a time and a place for the "more is more" approach! lol That's awesome you're able to prioritize and decide what layouts can get the extra attention...I'm not the best at that! Even when I "keep it simple" I'm so tempted to just add a little more 🤣

I really love this page I would like to learn how to make the ephemera that you made. I already have and advisor but I would love to make this layout. If you can’t show us how you made it would you consider selling the digital file to make it possible for us to print and cut?

The ephemera pieces were created from digital files and then using Print Then Cut in Cricut Design space. Sorry I don't have a process video on YT and I'm not selling pre-cut ephemera at this time, but I do have a class inside the Creative Design Team membership group where I share the whole process from start to finish. @lylacrawford1827 awesome! You’ll have access to all previous classes as well as the new ones. After joining the group you can look in the guides section for September 2023 class #4. That’s my ephemera class. I’m so happy you’ll be joining us!
What a beautiful fall layout. So enjoyable to watch your process. TFS
Thank you so much!
Always love your extras. 😊
Yay, thank you!
I am definitely a MORE crafter!
I especially enjoy interactive elements and using a variety of page sizes when my story consists of multiple pages.
We can be in the "more is more" club together!! Totally agree with the interactive elements and different page sizes!

I don't seem to use white either. But Love what you did. I think I will start using more white backgrounds.
I love your nonstop chit chat.
Beautiful, as always!

I'm so glad you found some ideas in my video that you can apply to your layouts!
Love the crackle you did and the whole colour scheme works!
I think that crackle stamp might just be my new favourite texture stamp!
Love “more is more” 😊. Pretty layout 🍂🍁. TFS

The fun is in the details!

I have a class coming to the CDT membership next week showing how I do this. Maybe that will help you get started. It's so much fun!

Gorgeous layout and photos. I'm going to have to try this print then cut tool as I'm loving what you've done with this.
