SANDBAGS! My home building channel is cancelled since Biden liked the name but when I used to do stone sculpture Sandbags were how I help irregular shapes from moving around the work surface. Make bags from denim pants legs and sew up the ends, add sand and close up. For scratch prevention on final polish put sand bags inside CROWN ROYAL BAGS. I like your work. Be Blessed
That is a gorgeous piece! My old neighbour would spend countless hours carving and sanding sculptures from narwhal tusk, sword fish, ivory, stone, wood and a whole bunch of other materials. The amount of money raised from doing pieces like this is insane, but the joy he would get from finishing pieces that were absolutely stunning, was worth more to him. He never said that to me, but I could tell by how he would stare at the pieces after and the look he had when he would part with them.
I’d love to see a project where you carve a scene into the wood before pouring the epoxy. For example, create a forest clearing with a hut on the wood, then pour the epoxy and carve the whole thing into a turtle!
Ooo I would love to see a turtle with some sort of forest scene in it! Not asking for much though 😂😉 I do feel if anyone can bring all that to reality this man can!
Awesome ... I had a similar idea with an alligator ... and inside the scene is another alligator that is a mimic of the larger scene ... in the spirit of a Russian nesting doll. A turtle would be cool just the same. And then a Tree ... yeah a tree with a tree inside it ... it could be a scene of scenes ... that would be ridiculous. Yeah ... a tree with an swamp scene with a turtle and an alligator. It could be just an fallen tree trunk ... or go crazy. Might be hard to pull off without feeling too gimmicky ... but if anyone could do it ... challenge?
I personally like the running commentary. I like to know what you are doing and why. I like to dabble in woodworking/art so learning from guys like you is helpful to me. Thank you.
Thank you so much 😀 Everything starts with the shape of the wood, from there I try and make the epoxy wood blend in certain areas of the sculpture, like the head.
After finding your channel I binge-watched all your videos. Gotta say that your sculptures are extremely beautiful. Your editing has improved aswell! Keep up the good work

Love your art and your work ethic your are an inspiration to the world through your art. That came out so beautiful! I love the wood you chose and the choice to use it's natural beauty. It's amazing watching a block of wood and epoxy resin turn into such a detailed creature. You have amazing talent.
I love these sculptures you make. They look so vintage because of wood yet so modern because of epoxy and i love the wood epoxy submerging in a abstract way. And after seeing the process i feel like this sculpture should be very very expensive . No one should get this without giving the right amount of money
Wow! As always you never disappoint. Your artistry and craftsmanship always shine through Masterfully! A huge fan hoping to one day own one of your exquisite art pieces. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍🏼
It came out so awesome! Thanks for the giggles with the pirate costume! And mostly because the rhino inspired my thoughts, I think a Giraffe would be an amazing sculpture. I'd love to see that...or maybe an Ostrich...from you some day.
UA-cam just suggested your videos....i love watching then. This however is my favorite. From a young age my parents said my spirit anumal was a rhino.....i am so happy you did one! It looks so beautiful!

In the reveal footage, the light shining through the varying thickness of resin onto the burl inside the piece reminds me of an underwater scene. It’d be cool if you did a piece like this that featured stingray or something in an underwater scene inside the resin. Just a thought. Love your work! Someday I hope to commission a piece or two. 👍
That is an amazing carving love it. I have a question, what do you do with the big chunks of resin that you take off in the beginning of carving? I would love to see something done with them. Have a great weekend.
Can resin be re-melted? Or even shaved/grated down to tiny bits to mix in with liquid epoxy? It could look quite cool mixed thru liquid before it sets, like it has wee sparkles thru it??? Just a random thought lol
This is soooo amazing! You’re incredibly talented and so dedicated man. Just recently subscribed and I’m in awe of your work! Much success and good things for you! ♥️
Absolutely beautiful!!! I also love watching the process from buying the wood to the finished product. This rhino and the swan are my favorites. An elephant or bald eagle would be cool especially if you could get the white head on the eagle. Thank you for sharing your art with us
I love these sculptures, but I always wonder about the resin. There's a lot of cast off, is it environmentally friendly? Does it degrade? Anyone know? Beautiful sculpture. Love the format, love the result.
