That connector is so tiny! I have never had to work on anything that micro. As always Alex makes this look way, way too easy! Thanks for sharing your techniques with us Alex!
I was confused first when you said "the connector is aligned" when it was actually precisely misaligned. I figured it out - the idea was to heat both pads and pins with hot air from above and then push the connector slightly left to set the pins on the liquid solder pads. Great work, Alex!
Hello Alex Since watching your videos my skill level in appliance repair and micro soldering has gone up. Thank you so much for everything you taught me.
The singing... There is room for improvement but it wasn't devastating to the ear. Your. skills at soldering and resolving electrical faults are second to none.
"Why am I wasting time" I'd say its called quality control. Most of the time it is "time wasted" but when there is a problem, you are glad you did check it anyway.
I walked into a pub in England once and they had a sign up on the wall behind the bar, which read: "Unless you are Frank Sinatra or Gene Pitney, you are not allowed to sing in this pub!" I think, however, that they would have made an exception for Alex!😁
Hi I wonder if you can help me, I want to change over my motherboard from one mobile to the other, exactly the same model, is it just a case of removing one and fitting it into the new mobile? many thanks for your help
Am i the only one who enjoyed the PCB pattern UNDER the connector more than the repair itself? I think the tracks under it cannot get any smaller on a PCB and the vias were invisible...
great job ,I thought the plastic on the new connector would burn even a little but that was perfect ! if possible can you tell us the temperature when you solder in the future ? New fan from Germany😁
Set the hot air station to 400 deg C at low air flow. It is the distance of the nozzle that you will control and you will see the solder melt and component settle into place.
These connectors are quite resistent. I use 390°C to replace them, with the pads well prepped is a matter of seconds to solder everything. Pre-heat the board, drop the connector in and finish it up, whole job from disassembly to reassembly takes about 15 to 20 minutes if you are used to it.
This is a very dangerous procedure, because the processor and memory are located at the bottom and from heating the balls from under them can shoot and the phone will become unusable! We need a complete assembly and verification of the phone! And it is best to make a heat sink (by attaching a coin) on the protective screens during soldering!
Hi, I am from Iran and have a Samsung Ultra Note 20 which I fell down over it and broke in half, I took it to a repair shop, and they said it needed a screen, case, and 2 cables but they said that to repair my board as well after 10 days they said can't repair the board because bord is in 2 layers and can't solder the component if I send you the photo of my board can you help me to find a problem and get it to fix please

Hello Alex
Since watching your videos my skill level in appliance repair and micro soldering has gone up.
Thank you so much for everything you taught me.
hhhhhghhjjnj
You always say, "we're done, we're done" but you are not done! Finish the song !❤
You did quite well. I used to repair CD's, DVD's, amplifiers and TV's between 1998 and 2006.
The singing... There is room for improvement but it wasn't devastating to the ear. Your. skills at soldering and resolving electrical faults are second to none.
Solid work Alex!! I do these 78pin connectors from time to time, and I almost always have to use solder paste for it to connect to the pad.
Great job it's very hard to do that from the top without melting the connector amazing skills
That level of microsoldering with hands is another level. Better than factory 💯
Made me smile when you said you like to live on the edge, again Alex another great job fix.
Das können nur wenige, kann nur ein absoluter Profi mit dem Mikroskop und absolut ruhige Hände !
🥰💓👍👍👍💓🥰
Beautiful repair and singing!

The musical interlude by itself is worth the price of admission! You could change the channel name to "The Singing Solderer" ... 😂👍🏻🖖🏻
do you ever do any live streams ??? would be awesome to see
he did that.
@@venerandarain3 live repairs or just live tours lol

Yeh very small pads on the samsung
Perfect more than factory 😊
great job ,I thought the plastic on the new connector would burn even a little but that was perfect ! if possible can you tell us the temperature when you solder in the future ?
New fan from Germany😁
Notice that, he was always applying heat around the connector, to heat the board. He did not apply heat on top of the connector itself...
Set the hot air station to 400 deg C at low air flow. It is the distance of the nozzle that you will control and you will see the solder melt and component settle into place.

He is using the hot air gun at 450 degrees usually.
At least that's what i remember for 3 years of view 🤭
Was just watching your last video and got the notification for this one haha
Do you stock these connectors.
What would be the point of not sending the entire phone in? Why just the motherboard? How much money could he possibly save by only sending the board?
Customers...
To keep the screen in one piece?
Security?
Maybe is another technician who can’t fix it and send it alone to our friend
Maybe he watches the channel and was just trying to save Big Boss some time?
Whats the name of this job? I want to learn it too
Good job mate 👍
There is No thermal camera on your site !!!!!!?
you have a steel nerves 👍

Perfect working ❤
Job well done. The singing did not sound like a quack and therefore cannot be a duck LOL. Keep practicing LOL.
Perfection Alex :-D
You make this shit look so easy
Great job ❤
As a confident person, I'd attempt that repair

Good one
I'm literally doing this repair tomorrow
can you upload a repair video speedrun/ASMR kind of thing with no talk? i'm just curious
Will the cost of repairing the Galaxy A series be more expensive than buying a new one? Because the price of the new one is only 150 dollars
Better than Factory !
you could even call that "nanoscopic" soldering, can barely even see them with a microscope.
soon we'll need a nanoscope :D
Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
رمضان مبارك عليك 😊
i had an a52 with the same problem. stepped on it and crushed the ribbon connection.
tiny pins are better than factory!
Came in for repair.
А результат. Надобы пропаять выводы коннектора нового, тогда легче феном припаялся
