Gets up at stupid o'clock rides 400k then rides up a mountain. Seriously Katie, I have nothing but total respect and admiration for you. Absolutely astonishing and beyond inspirational.
My most honest congratulations to you on this video! The most amazing thing is that even if your accomplishment was INCREDIBLE (400k solo WOW!), you've made the whole video not about you are your efforts, but you've focused 100% bringing women in cycling to the picture. Your video was all about them and that says a lot about you as a person. Again, congratulations Katie, amazing job! Looking forward to seeing you back again Girona at La Fabrica and we can go for a ride! xxxx
Ahhhh thank you!!! Was good to meet you out there, once I’ve got better a gravel I will come back and might be able to keep up with you haha
Shame our paths didn't cross, hope to see you when you head down to the south west!
Morning!!! You’re such an amazing inspiration for me, Juliet! In fact, I’m on my 5000km bike adventure from Vancouver to Montreal. Thank you so much for your content and keep riding!!
Hi Katie... Love & Greetings from "Down Under".
You, young lady, are equally as incredible as all those Internationalles. Your videos and dedication are such an inspiration to EVERYONE.
Your enthusiasm and joy shine through in all that you do.
Many sports have heroes and star... and you shine with the best of them.
You are AWESOME.
💞🚴💞🚴💞🚴💞🚴💞
300 odd km into the ride and you are just like, yeah, I'm pumped and stoked to ride some climbing???
Sweetjesusandmary... You are absolute LEGEND!!!
Tones and tones of respect...
Cheers!
I.
My 8yr old daughter Poppy sends a massive thumbs up 👍. She is inspired by your video and the everesting ladies. I'm very impressed too by the way! Awesome work. Thank you
Thanks so much Andy, and you too Poppy!!!! :) xx
Katie, you are a total beast on a bike! And what a fabulous reason to show your prowess! Absolutely stunning job!
Cheers Rich!! You wouldn’t be saying that if you saw me on the last 50km haha. I was only riding so I could eat the Pot Noodle 😂
@@KatieKookaburra You are an inspiration to us all, Pot Noodle or not! You are one of the people who has encouraged me back onto my bike this year after a very long layoff. I used to be a competitive swimmer who rode everywhere in my youth around where I lived near the Ribble Valley. So dales and Trough of Bowland were my stomping ground. It's fantastic to see you riding those norhtern roads, but great when you venture down to where I am now in Herefordshire... btw, my other inspirers are Vegan Cyclist and Leonard Lee. You because you are real and do EPIC stuff, VC because he's a total nut job and does daft stuff with no planning, and Leonard Lee because he's a big lad who doesn't seem to give a stuff. Both you and Leonard do beautifully shot videos too. I know I'm only one of your viewers, but you do make a difference x
Badass dedication. Sometimes when I get up at 3am I think it would be a perfect time to ride, but I end up back in bed minutes later, so I admire this very much. Lovely ride, so good for the soul. Nice work.
Bloody Fair Play Katie supporting the girls what a ride for you then to support these fantastic girls top respect ✊
Big RESPECT to the Nationelles ✊✊✊
You are an inspiration, Katie. I remember watching one of your videos a year ago where you turned up for a ride with your mates and said, "It's only 90K" and I laughed. 90k seemed so far to me then. Yesterday I rode 100k like it was nothing and now find the longer the ride the more I look forward to it. Thanks!
Yassssss that’s the way!!! Well done!!! :)
So at 4 am this morning having woken up I watched this. By 5 am I was out on my bike doing a turn before work. I blame it on Katie Kookaburra . 😄Feeling good. Thank you.
I just finished my longest ever ride on sunday, around Lake Balaton (HU), 206 km-s! I couldn't be smiling after 300 like you did, I almost cried when I finished! It taught me some lessons (water managment, adequate clothing, checking my goddamned powerbank before the ride to see its not dead...etc), and Im eager for your endurance videos you mentioned!
400 km ridden all the way from Manchester to South Wales witnessing some female cyclists everesting.. and a final stint in the middle of the night to top it all off 😯 we men better hurry up a bit, you girls are smashing it, I'm amazed! Yeah I will follow along the upcoming series as your shared experience always nourishes mine 🌝🏞
400k! Amazing! What an accomplishment!! I got emotional during the bit with the Internationelles. I'd heard about their efforts, but seeing it happen (in the dark!) is just .. wow. Powerful stuff! Rad ladies - all of you! 🙌✨🎉
Another inspirational video, which left me exhausted just watching what you and internationalelles were achieving. I found your channel by chance during lockdown and I have been out on my ten year old Giant Rapid ever since slowing building up the time in the saddle. Now comfortably doing 60km, question is whether I will be able to do a 100km before my 65th in three weeks time !! maybe a bit of a push but we will see. Looking forward to your endurance series of videos to pick up any tips that will help me achieve this goal. Keep giving us all inspiration in your very special way.
Your elation at joining these fabulous riders was so palpable! Thanks for sharing this.
Awesome. Mad respect. What a buzz. 🐝 Always said you really are the bee's knees, Katie. ❤
🎉🎉🎉 well done for getting the 400 ticked off - thanks for coming to hang out was great motivation to see a smiling face in the darkness 👊👊
When you said you had 100k to go after meeting the group...my jaw dropped. Amazing work and amazing effort from the InternationElles! Thanks for this video, it's such an inspiration!
I started cycling in May of this year and managed to do a 100km solo ride in July and one in August . The route was pretty flat and that helped a lot. My goal is a 100 mile ride. I hope to do that one with some friends. Your videos have been a great help for me. Looking forward to the new series.
THANK YOU for backing these Woman who want a Woman's Tour and Giro, truth the Woman might show up so many riders in the professional ranks riding in the Tours,249 miles solo is a great ride for any one to achieve and you didn't break a sweat congratulations.
Rode in my racing days with my team, back in the late 1980’s! Training ride for an upcoming race , 440 Kilometers in 11 hours and 52 minutes! Use to ride between 20,000-25,000 Kilometers a Year! It’s all Psychological, once your use to riding 100, 200, and 300 Kilometers it becomes easier! Nice to see lady riding 400 Kilometers!
Wow, congratulations on the 400KM 👏🏻
I did my first 200KM yesterday, solo 😊 Amazing effort to do double that on your own. I found it at times as much mentally challenging as physically!
Well done Helen that is mega!!! Yeah a lot of it is mental and you build that the longer you go :)
Congratulations to you Katie on your 400km bike ride and them amazing inspiring women total master class like you are Katie , keep up the good work 🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️
Yet another truly inspiring video. I love that fact you just take off for another 400k on ur own. Bet you love the 2am starts. Highlighting a fantastic movement.
Thanks Lee :)
That was amazing. Some really strong women proving a point. Great job by all. Yourself included. Take care and stay safe, Al
Thank you!!! :)
You are epically inspiring. I've only been riding since the end of June, cracked 60km on Saturday and it almost broke me. I see how far you've come and I hope to achieve half as much. Thanks for sharing.
I'm just getting into cycling now and I'm going to binge watch your videos Katie. Hopefully I can join you on a social ride with you soon x
Awesome. Well done. Would have been great to see more of the ride but great effort to go see the girls. Thanks
Well done Katie and the internationelles! Awesome and imspiring rides all of you. Working up to 400 myself. Was super happy to ride 275 last weekend from the Netherlands to Calais (though that was almost completely on the flat). I'll give Wales a try as soon as I'm out of quarantine :) .
You are very inspiring, getting out on your own and being self sufficient. These are lessons I try to pass on to my daughters. Good on you
Absolutely brilliant!!! If I could get on a plane and be around this awesome energy...I would. Well done!!!!
So enjoyed that, and so great that you road down to support the Internationelles 👏👏👏
Thanks Cath! What a cracking day out, was ready for a bed at the end ha :)
"Why are there bees or wasps in the dark." 😂😅🤣 Exactly. What an amazing bike ride. Overcoming all eventualities and making us laugh along the way. A true cycling legend 💪👍🚴♀️
Wow Katie very inspiring you certainly are the real deal and realistic which I enjoy watching all just wow
What an absolute amazing achievement to both you and the group of ladies doing the Everest... 👊👊🙏🙏🚴♂🚴♂🚴♂🚴♂🚴♂
Just did my first 100km on Saturday! Can’t imagine doing 400km, INSANE!!
Well done :) I couldn't to be fair but somehow the distances just got longer!
Congratulations Sydney..am still striving for a 100Km ride, but cud never complete. Awesome achievement.
Naga Thank you so much! I was quite proud as it was a spur of the moment ride with some friends!
Diana Krebs Thank you! :)
I couldn‘t imagine doing more than 60km a day so there it goes: room for improvement for all, but the very top riders.
I see so many women cycling on the roads around where I stay, something has motivated so many new riders I think it’s so positive , I hope they keep at it as the weather get autumnal or get the turbo trainers going.
Superbe, magnifique! Great video as usual and thanks for the motivation. Well done! PS: I’ve only been riding my new carbon endurance road bike for six weeks and the Odo is just over 700 km ... I can only aspire to a fitness level that sees me log that in one week or less ... awesome! Stay safe and Hold Fast!
Great to see you still doing the longer rides, Katie. I'm sure you inspire many with your wonderful vlogs
Well done Katie what an unbelievable ride you did there you’re an inspiration to so many 👍
19 hrs out of 24... No words. Not eligible to comment on this video mate. Have never done a solo 100Kms atleast. U are a legend. No comments.
thats amazing i know you dont like this but the fact that you are so "blase" about "oh im doing 400k" is an inspiration as for mast of us thats a pretty epic ride. and doing it from the looks of it solo. that is my main issue i love riding but have very little motivation when it comes to riding solo maybe you could do a vid on this as i know im not the only one out there. keep up the good work chicken and thank you for the vids
Way to go Katie!!!!! These ladies are wonderful!!!!!!💪🏻👍🏻🙌🏼🚴🏻🚴🏻🚴🏻😂🤗👌🏻
more of an xc rider myself... and the elite ladies is something you should check out.... any one of 15 riders could win in any given race. always close racing and just awesome to watch.. enduro and downhill have incrdible talent.... i know its a different thing to what you do but great to see so many ladies riding at such a high level.... biking has helped and changed so many people for the better... just awesome to see....
So much respect for CX and MTB downhill! Ovaries of steel!!
Awesome riding by you and all the other girls. I doubt I could do either so 👏👏, but I did do Whitehaven to Sunderland in a day on Saturday, but thats a flat ride compared to doing an everest challenge 👍
Truly incredible athletes. Great cause!
And riding from Manchester to South Wales..as though going down the shops
U girls kick our ass u set a example has wel u give encouragement to man and women to get on there bikes skinny K. Don't sell urself short Katie u have done so much to encourage me so thank u 💓 keep give us ur amazing vlogs skinny k x 💖
Inspiring. Just earned a sub from me. Ridiculously considering cycling to Dorset from London, but the max I have completed in a day before is about 120km. your videos are useful on figuring out how I could prep for it
Great ride and some great views. Did winnats pass at the weekend, can’t remember what you did it in ( and don’t want to ) but tuck me 21 mins with head wind & luggage . Pants time I know, but loved the riding out there, great views. You can’t beat the buzz of an adventure on your bike.
Just came across this video of yours. Enjoyed watching and taking in the nice views along your ride. I just subbed you and looks like I have six years of videos to catch up on--LOL. I am training to ride RAGBRAI this July with a couple of friends. We can't wait to ride the biggest party on wheels. Ride on!!.
Wow Katie .. Awesome Ride you did ... Buzzing for the girls doing 27 times wow Amazed cheers Chris & Sam .
Amazing stuff Katie, from both you and the Internationelles.
Absolutely awesome! Every time I watch your videos it gives me that push to get on the bike again!
Omg you are a legend my god I thought that you be getting a ride back with them and when you started back on your own, at night 🤯 your a true inspiration. Awesome about everesting in group, since I heard about that challenge I can’t get it out of my head but I need to traído a lot before I can try it, nevertheless I know some day I will be doing it. Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽
WOW. I am Really Inspired by you Ladies. I take my hat off. EPIC!!!
Absolutely incredible on every level. Thank you for supporting these incredible women and for inspiring others yourself. Fantastic.
Yes Marcia's epic ride was just that, she mentioned she had taken a call from you on the way so thought you would give her a mention, I tried to meet up with her on the Kendal return leg but picked the wrong section of road. You girls are so inspirational, if you were in government the obesity crisis would evaporate overnight, keep it up, chapeau!
Great video and very inspirational, from you as well as the ladies you went to support. Thanks for sharing mike
That is dedication!
I'm looking forward to learning from you next series.
Did my first long ride last Saturday , 112k .. was really nervous leading up to it, i paced myself and smashed it home 💪 loved every minute..
Fab riding by all of you. What a great day!
Another great video Katie, have to say that I got very emotional watching this, you are all an inspiration x
Thanks, well you know I’m teary and had a few tears editing it! They are such great women!!!
Did a 129km ride not so long ago, took me just over 6hrs, to think I'm not even halfway to what you did is mind boggling!
OMG...I didnt watch yet...but...I finally did my first 103 mile day had not broken the 100 mile barrier and finally attempted and completed it yesterday!!!! 400km....WOW...just WOW...
Great video Katie ! Can’t wait for the endurance videos of this week !
They are being created as I type :) well having a little break but they will be up!! :)
Congrats from Paris! Amazing. Respect.
Fantastic ride Katie, solo 400k. You prefer a really early start? Will try this 😉Internationelles have been fantastic. So strong, saying so much about women’s cycling. Thank you 🙏
Yeah earlier the better for me! :)
Let’s talk about you Katie. You are incredible!!! I love cycling but do most of it indoors and you inspire me to do more outdoor challenges. Thinking of doing the NC500 and an outdoor Everesting post-Corona because you’re exploits around the country. Love your work.
Ahhhh Neill, thanks matey!!! Just doing my bit haha. Yes NC500 is bloody epic. Just don’t do what we did and come back down the A9!!! Worst road I’ve ever ridden ha
Wow! Great ride, and I always say hi to cows too 😉 thanks for posting about the internationelles ! I had no idea about them! 💪🚴♀️🥰
We gotta say hello to the cows eh, such lovely creatures :)
💐🙏🚴🏽♀️🚴🏽♀️Absolutely Amazzing! Sooo inspiring!! Thank you for sharing!! 💕💕💕
What an incredible ride, im not sure what is more incredible that fact you rode out at 2.00am and didnt give up when you got stung. Or the fact that after seeing the Internationelles you then rode 60k to your hotel. one question I do have is how did you get back home, did you ride home ?
Stay away from cows and now bees 😄. Looks a belting ride. You gained so much endurance over the years. Buzzing for you. Well done. Have you though of everesting on Holmfirth Road? Peace out Heywood Neighbour 😁👍
Congratulation Katie 🤗.
Great video. Beautiful views and some very inspiring woman. Btw you are pretty inspiring too! 😀
What a legend Katie, what an achievement!
Although their achievement is great a 400km solo ride ...is... super great. 👍👍👍👍👍
Congrats to your amazing effort, to you and all the other epic ladies!
Crazy effort to ride down to them, that final leg you did is tough any time, let alone solo at night after that day of riding, take it from a local. Lets hope 2021 offers the Internationelles an opportunity to showcase their cause/riding to a more global audience again … 2020 was an awesome effort in difficult circumstances, but they excelled again!
BTW, keep an eye out for Molly Weaver picking up where she left off on the GBDuro, solo'ing to JoG to "complete" her ride ;)
Ahhh Craig, glad you said that thought I was being soft ha. There were some right steep buggers ha
All you ladies are so awesome,Katie!
Congratulations on an epic ride, and a really interesting video! You have a lot of fans here in Boulder, Colorado.....you should visit here sometime. There’s a lot of good climbs! Well, thanks again!
Ahhh would love to!!!! :) will travel for hills!
Katie that’s so much for sharing this video you and the other ladies are awesome 👏
Cheers John! :)
Omg I am so so so envious. I want to get there!
Great to see some of my fav UA-camrs coming together on screen, Bun and Beard and yourself. Well done on the 400km look like you enjoyed pleasant weather =)
You are an inspiration KAtie. Keep riding! Love from India!
The roads you are riding on in this video are truly amazing! I wish we had roads like this in California!
Keep up the great work with your videos! Subscribed :)
Thanks Phillip! The roads were bloody lovely xx
But you’re in California so you have some stunners!!
Katie, I watch your vids over here in Rhode Island, New England. Love the content and as a Brit also good English words like mardy..... keep it up!!!
Thanks for making me less afraid of hills. I am still not crazy about them, but less intimidated by them. No bees for me but just came back from a ride and was met by a garter snake at the back door of my apartment. We gave each other the stink eye and then went our own way. Hopefully your bee sting did not hamper you too much.
A bloody snake??? I will take a bee sting over a snake any day!
Bwlch and rhigos are my local climbs , did you like them Katie 😁
Wow! 400km that's so far, great accomplishment my friend, keep safe from bee's. Riding bike has many benefits, the scenery & different locations also the weather.☺️
Them pesky bees eh! xx
Absolutely epic! Well done!
Proper looking forward to the 'Endurance Mini Series', couldn't come from a better source. I would love to be able ride 400km in a couple of days, pop 'round me mam's for tea!
Congrats to the ladies, their efforts are hard to ignore!
Having a set place to go is so good for motivation!!! You can do it! Videos start tomorrow so keep watching :)
Hey :) since when did you have 60k subs, great job Katie. nice video & well done to rest of the girls. peace
Incredible! Big thumbs up!
You are absolutely brilliant, looking forward to the coming videos, oh what flavour pot noodle did you have?? 😊
It was the beef and tomato one. I had to check it was vegan through the garage forecourt window. Cashier looked confused - there’s a lass on a bike a midnight asking to look at the back of pot noodle 😂😂
😂😂 If she's not vegan she wouldn't have understood, wow that last 100 km in the dark, what a trooper 💪😊
How can you not be inspired....top work !
epic ride. i managed 80 km one day this year (non stop). longest in 20 years for me. hard to imagine doing 400 k then saying, "lets climb a hill" omg kudos
Absolutely awesome Katie. You continue to inspire other female cyclists. 👏👏👏
I loved this video. Well done lady. Excellent!
Another great story. 🚴♀️👍
