I was born in 1982, so I remember the last half of the 80s. If you want to feel like your time traveled to the 80s, watch some home movies filmed on camcorders from the 80s. I was watching someone's 80s family home movies on UA-cam the other day. I was watching this family's trip to Ocean City, Maryland, back in 1986. The family was hanging out on the boardwalk, and the father filmed all the boardwalk carnival like rides and games at night. It really took me back to that time.
They were beyond fun. We had great movies great music and the last era before the Internet. We actually survived without a cellphone ( imagine that lol) good times!!
I was beyond thrilled when I got a phone line, but I didn't even have a phone jack in my room till I was a teenager. My boom box was mint green, and my moon walk was sub par but passable. This brought back memories, so many memories.

Even when “little Carmen” goes in to get stuff for her mom😂 my mom would send me in to Tiger Market to pay for her gas, get her & my dad ciggs & grab me snacks! Also, if I needed a packed lunch we’d stop by & id get a sub, chips & a canned drink wrapped in foil! I love your channel

our phone cord was probably 6 feet or longer, phone on the wall of course. we took it in the middle bedroom thinking it would be harder for mom to hear us, so we come out and there she is arms across her chest.....with that look...jeez that woman, love her. 🤣

My family still has a working landline. Whenever someone calls my brother or I will get on and listen. I've heard all the drama my mom's friends and siblings call to talk about.

I didn't grow up in the 80's or 90's but i had wanted a ce player or boom box since I was a kid! My grandma had one that she said was "mine". She kept it at her house and my grandpa used it and everytime i went over i would play a feliz navidad cd she had. And then it broke i was so sad.
I want these things currently especially a land-line,ive wanted a landline for years but my moms always says "we have smart phones tablets and other things to use i dont even like technology nowadays.

There was always one person in the house who was the only one who would hang the receiver by the cord so it could spin free
