Hey guys I just installed my exhaust last week too. I discovered there are pre-drilled holes along the frame so you can relocate the hangers. Super simple to do! You should be able to move that hanger forward to where you need it. I had to relocate two of them and there were holes right where I needed them. Hope that helps!
THAT IS THE EXACT EXHAUST THAT I WANT TO PUT ON MY TRUCK.....I AM GLAD TO SEE SOME OF THE DIFFICULTIES BEFORE I TRY TO DO MINE.....(ON THE GROUND).....PLEASE KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING.....YOU "ALL" DO NICE WORK.....BOTH ON THE VIDEOS AND THE TRUCKS.....
I took the easy way out, went to a Muffler shop and had them install a once piece of 4" pipe front to back, the drone was too much for me, so I had a Walker Big Truck muffler installed, they welded everything up, so no leaks. now it is smooth as butter, oh, so nice.
Another great video. I found that if you are going to replace your exhaust, that is the best time to upgrade your up-pipes. I pulled the fender well on the passenger side, pulled the down pipe and that gave me full access to the passenger side up-pipe mounting bolts on the collector, which allowed me to easily attach the collector to the turbo before attaching the up-pipes to the collector. Was able to torque everything on both sides from below. Another note, a rag with quality lacquer thinner will remove the yellow residual from the factory o-rings on the turbo and pedestal.
Thanks, its value is growing for sure. Not sure it'll ever be worth all he's put in it, but he's planning on keeping it forever, so it works out I guess.
I had a HECK of a time installing a 4” MBRP exhaust on my early ‘99, so I selfishly appreciated that two guys and a lift had their struggles as well. 😂 Those hangers are the WORST!
Sure isn't something I'd want to fool with for my truck. Way too fiddley. Kind of tells me about MBRP's quality......(I DO have one of their nice stainless steel tips on my stock exhaust though.

Yeah, that's probably how to do it.

Thanks for the comment and thanks for the tips!!
Thankfully they send a "sacrificial" piece of pipe to fit every possible application. She is a $12K truck now. Nice job.

@@ProjectTimeGarage Hope that he does keep it. I can guarantee that if he puts it on the market tied to your videos, it will sell.
@@jeffreypinder9398 Yeah, the videos would help a lot.
That sounds sweet even with the muffler.
Yeah, I thought so too.

Yeah, whoever thought those hangers were the answer must have been asking the wrong question.
Nice job I have a 1999 F350 but I don't have a computer on the dash! Missed that some how! Bought it brand new!
That's awesome that you've had it since new. I have a video covering the tablet and monitor system on my channelm
@@ProjectTimeGarage LOL I wondered ! I have a 12 ft bed and dump on mine for work only has 100.000 miles on it! Garage kept!
@@The1313jeff Nice!
My man, straight pipe that thing and get rid of that muffler!!!
Did you see the last video where we drove it with just a downpipe? Sounded so good.

I think a lot of the struggles came down to inexperience on our part.
