My dog (and yes I realize dogs and cats have very different diabetes) wasted more than a year on the wrong insulin with his numbers bouncing all over the place. When I took him to a different vet, she switched him from vet-insulin to one we get from Walmart, and it made a MASSIVE difference for him. I don’t know enough about the types of insulins you can get in the UK, and like I said cats are different than dogs, but that was something I wished I knew a lot sooner in Filbert’s case.

I love Sandrock, Gab! I was a huge Portia fan. I do worry about that as a streaming game for you though because I think the game takes like 80+ hours to get through the full story. BUT I think it's really unique in it's storytelling and I would be over the moon if you played it. The game storyline is you rebuilding and restoring the town, so it's very special and making you feel so connected. I just worry since you just mentioned on stream recently that you don't like not finishing games. It would be a large commitment. I think the depth of the story is a huge plus for it and even if you don't play on stream I recommend playing in your personal time! If you do play, I recommend not feeling rushed in the game. I think a lot of people don't allow the game to lead them via the missions and then they find it annoying or overwhelming. The game is linear and if you don't have something or can't find it, just wait bc the map will expand to like 2 or 3x the original size!
Luckily, I bought My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock bundle! I started playing My Time at Sandrock, after Gab and Marz played it yesterday! Yeah, I could tell the overworld map would definitely expand at some point!

I have acute auditory sensory processing so loud areas are the worst. My loops make everything a little more quiet which makes it easier to focus on whoever I'm talking to. It is an adjustment though & you may experience some difficulty with certain pitches being harder to hear. This could further exacerbate your monoaural deafness so just be extra watchful.

I have a pair of loops. They are amazing just like Gab said. I've had my loops since last year. They helped me with the fireworks, since I can't handle high pitch sounds. So they work wonders.
I have calmers, but i’m getting really curious if loops would do more or then my calmers do. My calmers take the sharpness off of sound but don’t muffle them. I’m only concerned if they will fit well because i have daith piercings on acupuncture spots so i don’t want to take them out😅
Well they come in different sizes. The loop stays on the outside of your ear. The ear piece goes in your ear. That will come with the loop as Gab showed and told you. You change them very carefully. You adjust them til you hear nothing but your voice and everyone else's voice.
What a surprise, I’ve also gotten loops recently and I’m glad to see someone else need them for similar reasons that I do! I have the engage and experience ones and they both work great in a work and concert/movie environment respectively! There’s also 100% a difference between them in case you’re wondering, experiences block out different pitches of sound (+ block out more sound) which makes them more suited for a concert, while the engages dampen less sound and different pitches to make them suited to wear while talking to others. I will say that the one caveat people should be aware of, is that the loops experience has more occlusion than the engage? like being able to hear yourself breathing/chewing louder…it doesn’t matter if you’re wearing the experiences in a concert/etc since the loud sound drowns yourself out, but be aware that even with the engages it can be too much to people who are sensitive to that 😅
Listening to you talk about all the games you have to play makes me realize how many of your games I still haven't watched but want to and just don't have time. There's so many games and I'm so glad you play them. I can't do half the games you've played but I live watching you play.

I do have to agree, however; when my own cat got diagnosed with both thyroid and kidney issues, I found myself cutting a lot of luxuries so I could afford his special food and medicine. I'd do the same if it was my brother, parents, or girlfriend. But there are people who won't try to include their pets' health care into their budget, and just let the poor critter suffer. The people who genuinely can't afford that medicine, however, it's really hard for them especially, because they care enough to try and know it's not enough. :

A lot of the dialogue in this game feels very stilted and poorly edited. Like things are just slightly out of sequence and there's an odd delay before anyone starts speaking or answers a question. It's a shame because I think this is one of the most interesting games in the series the plot and characters are really different.
Is there a way to get BB’s device app to alert when he is too high or low, that way you wouldn’t have to worry as much? I’m a vet tech student, and I didn’t even know that CGMs were available for animals until I saw BB’s. Such cool technology! I’ve done several glucose curves on patients where they have to come in to clinic and we prick for blood every two hours, so CGMs are a huge relief to owners, pets, and veterinary staff.
There are alarms for it but BB has to be within 6m of me for that to work, otherwise my phone loses connection. And at night he can wander so it's tricky!

As an audhd person with acute sensory procesing disorder, particularly audio & visual, my Loops are g-d-mn life saving. I wear them all the time & have sleep ones too. With the stoppers it's the equivalent of the sleep ones & impossible to hear. I have the original set cuz the engage ones won't quiet the sounds enough.

I wonder if maybe he's randomly drinking a lot of water on some days. Wonder if you could measure it each day to see if there's any correlation. If there is, it might be good info for the vet! Either way I'm happy you guys are on the somewhat frustrating journey together. At least you know what it is, and he's up and about with his strength back! Hi Gab, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes almost a year ago. Even as a human managing myself sometimes it's hard to account for those random dips. One day the same amount of insulin will be too much, and another day it'll be too little. Regardless, it's obvious you're putting your everything into BB's treatment. And from my experience, having people to help through those times of low blood sugar make a world of a difference. BB is so lucky to have you caring for him and his defunct pancreas

Hey gab, i dont know about bbs diet of course, but i learned that kibble is very bad for cats and that its best to feed high quality wet food (like catz finefood/ mjamjam/ macs/ leonardo - i dont know if these are german brands, but these are very nice quality). The problem with vets is they really dont know much about a healthy diet for cats and recommend brands like royal canine because they have sponsorship with them etc. i hope this is not overstepping boundaries? I just wanted to share knowledge. Diet plays a big role in illnesses in cats especially. Also treats could make a difference in the dips; i learned that best treats are freeze dried snacks or wet snacks - no kibble whatsoever if possible. Hope he settles in soon and gets better ❤

With my autism the loop earplugs have helped me so much. I can not even stress how helpful the earplugs are. The world feels so much more accessible

As an audhd person with acute sensory procesing disorder, particularly audio & visual, my Loops are g-d-mn life saving. I wear them all the time & have sleep ones too. With the stoppers it's the equivalent of the sleep ones & impossible to hear. I have the original set cuz the engage ones won't quiet the sounds enough.

Sometimes my human clients' BS dips after exercise or even drinking a lot of water! Blood sugar is crazy. Of course I'm just somebody on the Internet. Follow your vet always. I wonder if maybe he's randomly drinking a lot of water on some days. Wonder if you could measure it each day to see if there's any correlation. If there is, it might be good info for the vet! Either way I'm happy you guys are on the somewhat frustrating journey together. At least you know what it is, and he's up and about with his strength back! Hopefully you can dial in the medicine stuff soon.
Also yay Nancy! I always try to guess who i think done it. Im guessing the girl in the cubicle, from the southern small town. I don't know why, I'm just an hour into the video, but that's my blind guess! She gives such good answers to your questions like she wants to over explain everything out of a guilty conscience.

Hi Gab, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes almost a year ago. Even as a human managing myself sometimes it's hard to account for those random dips. One day the same amount of insulin will be too much, and another day it'll be too little. Regardless, it's obvious you're putting your everything into BB's treatment. And from my experience, having people to help through those times of low blood sugar make a world of a difference. BB is so lucky to have you caring for him and his defunct pancreas

Hey gab, i dont know about bbs diet of course, but i learned that kibble is very bad for cats and that its best to feed high quality wet food (like catz finefood/ mjamjam/ macs/ leonardo - i dont know if these are german brands, but these are very nice quality). The problem with vets is they really dont know much about a healthy diet for cats and recommend brands like royal canine because they have sponsorship with them etc. i hope this is not overstepping boundaries? I just wanted to share knowledge. Diet plays a big role in illnesses in cats especially. Also treats could make a difference in the dips; i learned that best treats are freeze dried snacks or wet snacks - no kibble whatsoever if possible. Hope he settles in soon and gets better ❤
