MAK911 Came across 😂you were giggling like a schoolgirl 🙏 I live 75 miles west of Glasgow on the coast , busy with tourists but no problem in a Porsche The NC 500 is epic , Top Gear did 300 ish I’ll do it one day too Love your car ❤️
Iain Mcglynn I couldn’t help my feelings on that three lochs forest drive 🤣. I’ll happily drive up again and drive with you in convoy when you want to do it
I did the northcoast 500 in my tuned F80 M3 (now gone). Brilliant trip and such amazing scenery! Looks like you had a great time... loving the content. I am thinking about getting a 996 C4S myself. :-)
Thanks very much for watching. I loved it, and already planning a bigger route for next year with a group of Porsches. A 996 is such a good proposition, no matter how you look at it, and a C4S especially 😉. For the money, nothing comes close
Glad you had a good time in Scotland. We are lucky to have those roads and scenery! Shame we get the rain too but hey, that's what Carrera 4s and Carrera 4Ss are for!
Johnny Smith I was definitely thankful to have the 4S on the road. Just made me more assured! Loved every minute of it. Truly beautiful. Thanks for watching
What a nice video. I'm trying to convince my buddies to come to London and do that roadtrip. When we meet next time I will need suggestions for epic roads you did :)
@@mak9119 The one at Beulieu? I went there last year. Nice place, a LOT of cars. But this year I see in their website that the format is staying in your car or something like that. I was not very impressed by the roads around it. Slow roads at 40mph speed limit. Not so much of Porsche roads. I might go for a drive in Essex early Sunday morning. I will message you on instagram
Love your video and your beautiful car! Iv been wanting to do this with close friends....just trying to persuade them to buy sports cars! My next Porsche in my little collection has to be a 996 and after seeing yours it’s should be a tip convertible. I live in London too and hard to find good drives nearby. Currently got an grey agate grey 991.1 2S PDK as a daily drive and a red 997.1 S2 manual with aero kit. The Porsche community is much bigger than just the aPorsche clubs. There are lots of people like us. 🙂
Thanks for the lovely comment! You’ve got a very nice collection going already, and both are great and different enough in their own right! 👏🏻 A 996 will definitely add to it. I’m in the process of adding another 911 to my 996. Will be organising some sort of a drive on some great roads, soon enough, so I’ll make sure to reach out in case you’d like to join. The best part of owning these cars, is the experiences you make driving them with other owners.
Thanks for watching and commenting! I did 3000 miles during this trip, and some days driving for 9 hours straight. I absolutely love it, and had no complaints. I’ve got the sports seats which offer more support overall, so maybe that helps too.
Interesting to see 996 4s and 997 mk2 4s, side by side. I am currently in the market for one of the two. I just can’t decide which one to choose....997 more reliable, but love the looks of the 996 4s....
Bart Desseyn always love to see them Side by side. And they’re both just as reliable. Don’t believe the hype of the ims 🤔. The 4S 996 is more unique that’s for sure, but they’re both great.
How do you experience the tiptronic gearbox? For track days manual is the way to go, but isn’t the tiptronic a better combination for everyday use in a convertible fast GT car like the 4S?
Bart Desseyn I absolutely love it. Of course it would be nice if it was modern day standard fast when you manually shift, but it’s worth having especially for city driving at 20mph limit! It’s very intuitive to your driving as well, so when you want to go fast, it knows to hold on to the gears automatically
Beautiful video & especially your 996 C4S...👍👍👍
Good video and car👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻
Awesome roadtrip! Stone chips are part of the game😁
there's some beautiful driving roads in Scotland

DIV AND BENNY Had to finally be done after years of dreaming of it! Thanks so much for watching

Panagiotis Athanasopoulos I’m happy to do that. There’s the Simply Porsche event happening this Sunday! Have you heard about it?

darren waller I did indeed! Some of the best roads and scenery ever! Highly recommended
Great video! How comfortable is your 996 during long drives?

I hope you didn't run over any haggis. They can damage the undertrays.

Third world problems 😩
994 4S and 996 are very reliable cars. more reliable than my brand new BMW :))
