      @@ErikCB912 that's what Americans think. The fact they can watch nfl or nba with constant time-out, fouls , or the game stopping every 2-5 minutes for more than 4 hours is nothing compared to taking a toilet break or booing the legends of the sport.
      Especially tennis is a "gentleman" sport with sportsmanship. It's a typical American behavior to boo.
      Tennis is a extremely exhausting and stressful individual sport. They fly into your country to play a tournament which they continuously play the very next day.
      They always boo for the most smallest thing and it's not only disrespectful but disgusting. It's not a team game and they don't gloat , brag to other players like when nba players block or dunk a shot.
      Think tennis like a chess game atmosphere.Americans will think it's perfectly normal to boo and shout.

      He saw (correctly) that the ball didn't touch any lines and landed within one of the regions, away from the line borders. At Isner's service speed, he identified the wrong region. Maybe he thought the ball was in the region beyond the two service boxes or maybe he thought that it was in the other service box. "wrong one" means "wrong region" in my interpretation.

    Does anyone understand tennis or actually realise that this call ACTUALLY BENEFITED Isner? Not taking aything away from Isner, I like him, but it is much easier to be calm and friendly when a call benefited you. Isner's rival (Bautista Augut) should have been furious (shame the TV did not show his reaction. For people not following, is because Isner now gets a 1st serve again (which means with his big serve he has extremely high chances of winning the point) vs the situation that Isner was in, which was a returned serve and the point being played (which automatically lowers Isner's odds of winning the point and his rival has a higher chance of winning than if the point would be started again.)

    • @omkarnagarhalli5217
      @omkarnagarhalli5217 2 роки тому +5

      I reckon Isner would've still put away the return, RBA might have got it back but it was straight back at Isner and he was still struggling to get into position. Even if Isner doesn't immediately finish the point he still has a huge advantage at that moment of time

      @@omkarnagarhalli5217 Yup 100 percent. The ball was short and at the service line, even if Isner didn't put it away, he was in an extremely good position to put it away on the volley and Isner is a decent volleyer. This is what happens when someone thinks they know more than they do. *ahem* J GA

    Isner knows he will hit an ace 4 out 5 times anyway, and he's a multi millionaire, so he's okay with the poor call.
