The suspension tuning and even the design and R and D is done at MG"s UK studios in London, that's why it feels European or German. The Chinese are sensible enough to realise that MG should still have a British element to it's character.
Glad you are on the roadtrip with a MG 4, i have one (same spec) LOVE it!! The MG Pilot can work af adaptive cruise control (ACC setting) works ok, no auto steer unless you like to pingpong between te lines, in the TJA setting (Traffic Jam Assist) it can auto steer, but i dont like it unless i am in a traffic jam, then its heaven! I can charge mine without any problems at Tesla Superchargers, in fact the cheapest public charging for me here in the Netherlands.

Hi Bjørn. To strike a blow for manual seat adjustment. I am much taller than my wife. We dont like electric adjustment without memory function because its annoying slow to adjust the seat every time you change the driver. And the MG4 luxury doesnt have memory function. So we would go for a comfort version with the good old manual adjustment. ;)
as always thank you for making such great videos with lots of good informations, it's always a pleasure to watch even I didn't like this car 😉 please continue your great work and "we" alway thank you... 👍
What a weird way rushing through this wonderful landscape. But thanks very much anyway. Will do a holiday trip this summer, using my MG4 towing a trailer with my Vulcan S. Then doing daytrips from a campingplace (base) with the motorbike. Good to know it`s so easy/advanced charging my MG4 on such long trips, from base to base. 🖖
@@bjornnyland No offense. 😉 I just couldn`t do this (like you) without stopping every now and then to get the most out of those beautiful landscapes. I remember last time i was in norway (little Honda cruiser, sometime around late 80s) i sometimes could hardly go on because in awe of everything around me. So to/for me(!) it would be weird to rush through all those wonders like that. But thanks for showing the abilities of an MG4 on long trips and how easy it is to get it recharged in Norway. I've got two questions, I have a MG4 long range version (not the Lux) but when I charge the car to 100% it rarely says it has over 400km range when the range should be 450% I understand the range calculation depends on more than what its mentioned in the cars info, I just want to understand how this calculation is made? Also I've never used the battery warmer to (by what I understand) make charging of the batteries faster and also for better efficiency. Have you used it? How well has it helped? :D BTW Nice vid, Im pondering if I should take a long ride (1300 km one way so 2600 km to and back). Instead of a flight to the destination haha. cause the flights are quite expensive on the dates I would be doing the travel.
I saw an MG5 crash tested, they gave it zero stars. All variants of the MG5 (May 2023 - onwards) scored a 0 star ANCAP safety rating. The only weakness I saw was side pole impact, all others looked great, seems unfair.
@@andreasbingkilvr6662 Also have to measure the amount of atmosphere between you and the sun blocking sunlight. I have problem with handshake with Ionity with my MG4 standard also. I had to almost call the tow truck during my trip from Italy to Norway because I couldn’t charge at any of the stalls and didn’t have enough juice to make it to the next one. Hello Bjørn, There are several good deals on 2WD vehicles currently. The big question is how well they perform in winter or off-road conditions. In addition to most of them being rear-wheel drive, some cars have software that allows you to engage both wheels when you're stuck. Can you start testing this? It's very interesting for those who can manage with 2WD.
204 hp for driving the most of the roads on 50 km/u and 120 km/u on highroads and didn't even speak about the traject controls ... Why you need more HP then ? Even 250Nm torque is more then enough to have fun on the EU roads :)
Please can reviewers try to standardise their efficiency using KM per KW/hw or Miles per KW/hr ??? 149Wh/km is just meaningless without a calculator. It's like giving top-speed in minutes per kilometre.
A car from where MG is made and a car from the company part of the parent company created by who it was created by both have the ideal of controlling who gets access according to very strict and always changing rules ... and handshaking access to charging doesn't work. Maybe the backend financials system between those who covet what they don't make vs those who make things themselves is incompatible, or maybe they wish to choose who does what and default get you in trouble to their "benefit" in their benefits system. Either way, it does not surprise me that it is those two brands that have trouble "handshaking" (letting access to charging).
