Three way has a couple more options. You can remove the small tripod part and remove the top screw cap on it which then exposes a finger mount part underneath for making a very low sturdy tripod. You can also take off the two fold out sections and just use the main handle part making it similar to shorty in size (maybe more like the floaty handle thing which I think is The Handler) and you still have the pull out tripod in the bottom part with you to use either way if needed. The NuGrip looks like it could be a good option especially for anyone interested in being in the water.
Hi there, after watching the video, I bought the El Grande and the tripod to screw in. There ist no screw hole on the el grande bottom as in the video. How is this possible?
Hello … could you please give me the reference of the quick release you use with the El Grande and your trepod dji? Do you know what I mean? 😀 Thanks for your help Regards… I’m from Belgium
I love the handler! But, I have already made a video about it, best pov accessories. I think the handler is best suited to water sports as it has no tripod. The max grip does seem good, but I don't have one unfortunately. Have you tried it?
Hi! Could you please help me with a question. I own an PorPro hero 9 and as well an El Grande. Do you know how can I use a tripod on the EL Grande? The whole seem to be quite small!
@@Rush-Media The El Grande page on GoPro's website answers the question about being threaded with a negative. This was borne out by my own experience. By the way, I enjoy your style and thanks for your content.
Just bought max 360. Can i have ,,invisible stick,, effect if you use that el grande stick? :) i am not sure about buying el grande or that mid 3set stick :D
You can but you need to order a replacement ball joint that goes straight to three finger GoPro mount. I'll put a link in the video description for you
OK It's not really a guarantee but you can try this solution: community.gopro.com/t5/Cameras/Better-interface-between-El-Grande-and-Fusion/m-p/326869#%2FM91745
Hi Rush Media, Thanks for this video. One question arises when I watching it: Does current version of El Grande have any strap at the handle side of it, similar to the one shown in your video? If not, may you give any advice where to get a compatible one? This product's pictures do not show any strap, and your video's thumbnail picture doesn't show any strap on this stick either. Even at GoPro website, this product's description page, doesn't mention any strap that shown in your video. Do they simply refuse to mention a strap that they provide along with El Grande? This part could really be important for underwater usage
@@Rush-Media Thanks. However, I am not sure thеn, if the current version of El Grande still has any hole at the handle side to connect this strap either. Just because of this I should probably look for a pole from another brand. This strap removal from the original design looks just like a sadden economic upgrade.
It would be fine, it's mostly plastic with what appears to be stainless steel. Just remember to wash the salt water off with fresh water after you use it.
GoPro removed the option to attach a tripod or extension to the El Grande...I found out the hard way by ordering one. Terrible that a company based on adaptability would remove it from one of their accessories. SUCH BULLSHIT
So, there's been a recent discovery on this point. The screw is still there but there is plastic covering it. So you can force a tripod mount screw in and it will remove the plastic coating.
Don't buy the Shorty. It is a garbage product. It collapses when extended under the weight of the camera and makes an awful sound when merely handling it. Crap.

I haven't used my three way since I got my NuGrip, but i was unaware that the top cap could be undone. Thanks for that!
How is the Nugrup do you think is worth it ?
Nicely done sir! Best video review of these three. Helped me choose the one I need.
Wow! That was a very detailed video. Thanks for sharing your experiences

The best one I found is the one that was made for the GoPro Fusion. It’s basically a bigger Shorty. It’s about half the size of The El Grande,
Cheers, helpful..
This was a very helpful video, thank you 🤙🏼
I do not normally buy go PRO accessories, However, The Shorty is ridiculously handy.
Agreed, I find that official gopro accessories are better quality than third party generally
I bought the 3 way and the el grande!! Thank you for the video!
Good choices! Let me know how they go for you.
@@Rush-Media You got it!!
@rushmedia the bottom of my El
grande looks different from yours. I ordered the DJI tripod mount too. Bummer

The screw cap on the 3 way tripod can pop off and the camera can be screwed into the tripod itself for extremely low angle shots
Great info, cheers
Beautiful
Hello, how are you, does "the pole El Grande" suport the Hero 9 Black ??? Thanks a lot in advance.
Yes, it supports the GoPro 9 well
That is compatible for gopro hero+lcd?
It works with all modern gopro models with the two fingers mount
What about the Nu Bear Nugrip? Or the Pgytech Action Camera Extension Pole Tripod Mini?
Have you tried those? How do they compare?
Insta360 stick for the win.
makes me want to buy one!
Nice one I learned from you
How rigid is the GoPro El Grande stick? Does it flex at all? I am thinking of using it on a motorcycle .
It's solid, doesn't flex. But the way it locks might mean it's not as stable as other poles. You lock it by rotating

@@Rush-Media Thank you 🤩
El Grande current version does NOT come with a thread for a tripod
Yes that seems to be the case. Very disappointing that they've done that!
Is there something to adapt a tripod? Mine also doesn't have a thread for tripod. If there is not an adaptor is going back
UPDATE! The screw mount is still there it is just coated in a little plastic so you need to screw under force first to reveal it.
i love go pro camera
What about the max grip or the handler

Why isnt the Max Grip not included?
Yeah! Rush Media Fail!
With the shorty tripod can you alter the rake of the camera to look downwards or is it fixed at a horizontal setting?

You can move it to point up or down yes. Like nodding a head.

Hi, if you have the latest el grande they unfortunately removed the screw hole. You could try drilling a new hole or use a clamp.

Super bro
7:28 I recently bought el grande but mine doesn't have that screw, is there another alternative?
Apparently the screw is there still but it's covered by a thin layer of plastic
For the current edition of the el grande, to suggest the threads are hidden under some plastic would be incorrect.
@Rico oh no! I was told by a couple of people they had success by screwing through the plastic.
