EXCELLENT VIDEO! Straight to the point 💕
Three way has a couple more options. You can remove the small tripod part and remove the top screw cap on it which then exposes a finger mount part underneath for making a very low sturdy tripod. You can also take off the two fold out sections and just use the main handle part making it similar to shorty in size (maybe more like the floaty handle thing which I think is The Handler) and you still have the pull out tripod in the bottom part with you to use either way if needed.
The NuGrip looks like it could be a good option especially for anyone interested in being in the water.
I haven't used my three way since I got my NuGrip, but i was unaware that the top cap could be undone. Thanks for that!

The best one I found is the one that was made for the GoPro Fusion. It’s basically a bigger Shorty. It’s about half the size of The El Grande,
I do not normally buy go PRO accessories, However, The Shorty is ridiculously handy.
Agreed, I find that official gopro accessories are better quality than third party generally
The screw cap on the 3 way tripod can pop off and the camera can be screwed into the tripod itself for extremely low angle shots

El Grande current version does NOT come with a thread for a tripod

Is there something to adapt a tripod? Mine also doesn't have a thread for tripod. If there is not an adaptor is going back
UPDATE! The screw mount is still there it is just coated in a little plastic so you need to screw under force first to reveal it.

I love the handler! But, I have already made a video about it, best pov accessories. I think the handler is best suited to water sports as it has no tripod.

It would be fine, it's mostly plastic with what appears to be stainless steel. Just remember to wash the salt water off with fresh water after you use it.
How rigid is the GoPro El Grande stick? Does it flex at all? I am thinking of using it on a motorcycle .
It's solid, doesn't flex. But the way it locks might mean it's not as stable as other poles. You lock it by rotating

Does current version of El Grande have any strap at the handle side of it, similar to the one shown in your video? If not, may you give any advice where to get a compatible one? This product's pictures do not show any strap, and your video's thumbnail picture doesn't show any strap on this stick either. Even at GoPro website, this product's description page, doesn't mention any strap that shown in your video. Do they simply refuse to mention a strap that they provide along with El Grande? This part could really be important for underwater usage
Yes the latest version no longer comes with a strap. But you can pick one up very cheaply that are better than standard like this one geni.us/l4mSJI2

Just because of this I should probably look for a pole from another brand. This strap removal from the original design looks just like a sadden economic upgrade.

With the shorty tripod can you alter the rake of the camera to look downwards or is it fixed at a horizontal setting?

Hi, if you have the latest el grande they unfortunately removed the screw hole. You could try drilling a new hole or use a clamp.

You can but you need to order a replacement ball joint that goes straight to three finger GoPro mount. I'll put a link in the video description for you

No, it doesn't work, the best solution to get the invisible stick is to use the insta stick it works for me.

Apparently the screw is there still but it's covered by a thin layer of plastic
For the current edition of the el grande, to suggest the threads are hidden under some plastic would be incorrect.
@Rico oh no! I was told by a couple of people they had success by screwing through the plastic.

GoPro removed the option to attach a tripod or extension to the El Grande...I found out the hard way by ordering one. Terrible that a company based on adaptability would remove it from one of their accessories. SUCH BULLSHIT
So, there's been a recent discovery on this point. The screw is still there but there is plastic covering it. So you can force a tripod mount screw in and it will remove the plastic coating.

I bought 3 WAY and it's garbage i did not use it because its not good so i throw it in the garbage

Don't buy the Shorty. It is a garbage product. It collapses when extended under the weight of the camera and makes an awful sound when merely handling it.
