Darren totally immersed in the song, the audience singing along in unison as if on cue, that moment when a spark of magic hits them all and they know this is something special that's beginning to take off... There's no hierarchy between the cast, they all just get a kick out of their joint performances. It's just pure poetry to me and beats literally every happy dog/cat/baby video out there. I was watching Blaine on Glee tonight and I was reminded of how much of a goober Darren is, and I had an impulse to watch some StarKid stuff. I teared up at this. If you told this Darren - crazy-haired Darren who dresses up as Harry Potter and makes weird covers of Disney songs I mean who does that - that someday he would be a regular on Glee, he would do Broadway, he would be winning awards, that he would be going on a sold-out solo tour... He wouldn't believe you. Here's a kid who knows nothing more than being a dork with his friends and singing about Harry Potter, and he has no idea where he's gonna be in a few years. I really hope, once this whole Glee thing is done, he does some more stuff with StarKid. That's where he's at his best.
I love Darren and Joey's reactions to things in this video. When the crowd starts sing along they're laughing and the love it but you can tell it sort of scares them too. They just like they're, singing along i don't know how to react, and it's so cute.
I come back to this video every few months and i think I figured out why. This was only a few months after the video had been posted, it was joke for all of them as friends. This is THE moment where they all realize that they accidently made somthing bigger than themselves. You can just see it in Darrens face specifically that it all just clicked in that moment where everyone sang "privet drive." This was a moment that was right before it all truly blew up for them, in this video you're watching stars being born. And this is never going to happen like this again. It's like a moment stuck in time and it's super nostalgic. And it makes me smile just thinking about the last 11 year's and the fact that i grew up on this. That i was just going into middle school when they posted AVPM... My entire teenage years consisted of watching this group of people develop their talents and become amazing performers... And it's just so special.

Honestly, the pure joy on their faces when everyone joins in at "private drive" and they have this moment of, "holy shit people actually know the words to these songs" it's like. it's so incredible to see. Like it's one thing to know a project you created had people who saw it, and another thing entirely to realize that there are people who love it and have listened to it enough that they know all the words. i just love this so damn much.

i wish i'd been an addition to the fandom way earlier. i've only started and finished the movies this year, and it feels like i'm late or whatever. i'm watching this at 1am, and i dunno, it just feels heartwarming to see them goof around like this. i've known darren from glee, and i really do wish i was in the fandom ever since i was smaller. i guess maybe that's why i can't figure out what house i belong in, or why i want to finish the books as soon as i can, and rewatch the movies when i can. i just wish i'd have been here earlier.

Darren is sooooo cute when he realizes everyone else knows the words and that he’s famous. And the whole Cho Chang scene is priceless! And Nick singing the parts for the girls is so frickin hilarious!!!
I just can't get over this pure happiness on Darren's face when people start to sing along. I'm just tearing up, this is so wholesome!
Whenever I forget what being part of the Potterhead community really means, I'll rewatch this video.

i love how at this time the people watching are still fumbling some of the words in the verses cause they don't know them well enough yet....that never happens now lol, everyone knows every single word perfectly
