Well done everyone. With alpacas you have to react quickly to anything "off" about them. Putting the head back the way she was is a sign that things are very bad, it is often called the Death Arch, your quick actions are what saved her. 💗
Poor cupcake! I saw the video of her after the birth outside, but I didn't realize she had trouble thereafter.😮 MBS, you guys are so attentive to your critters, God love you. Thank you for all you do. ❤
Wow ! I am happy you and your crew are on the ball constantly watching for anything that might go wrong with one of your animals ! Great job saving her she would have been greatly missed. Thank you !
Excellent summary I'd say, they're lucky to be at such a fabulous caring stable, providing her with the care she needed in a timely manner. Thank you for saving CC!
@@Kathleen-Wellner she had a mineral and vitamin deficiency. When we got her mother she was down on weight - so the fetus likely didn’t have high enough levels of some minerals and vitamins at birth and quickly depleted her supply.
She was deficient in selenium, vitamin E and thiamine. Her mum was underweight when we got her home so she may have been lacking essential nutrients during gestation.

Ok, I really need more clarification here! What were the injections and what was the diagnosis? Inquiring Vet asking ☺️
She was deficient in selenium, vitamin E and thiamine. Her mum was underweight when we got her home so she may have been lacking essential nutrients during gestation.
@@meadowbrookstables thank you for your response. She’s very lucky that your skilled eye noticed her grave situation! I’m proud of you guys! 🥰
