    Yes, Lance Russell is alive and well living in Florida. He is 82 yrs. old and voice sounds the same. Now and then he'll come back to Memphis for a memorial show and he's always a star here.

    This is so cool thank you for posting this classic stuff. Great for me as well as I grew up on Stampede Wrestling in Canada.
    Not long after this Wayne Ferris, Danny Davis and Ken Wayne all went up to Stampede off and on for a couple of years. The Nightmares were together up there under the name the Tennessee Studs. Danny Davis stuck around for a while afterwards as a singles wrestler.

    I think this is actually 1979. By 1980 Jimmy Hart was the top heel manager

    @Soulgrenade Back then, you had guys who loved rasslin'. Of course they needed the money, but the sport came first. Great action...

    It would be affirmative. The problem is all the guys that are out there that can work on the indys, most of them have been watching wrestling since the attitude era. They think that is how you work a crowd. They don't get it. One reason I quit doing anything with indy promotions is because the guys just wont watch anything unless its current product and they emulate that. Its sad.

    Wouldn't Memphis Wrestling look good in today's world for pro wrestling starved fans who are sick of the sports entertainment image they spoon fed on mainstream television? I hope it's an affirmative answer.

    • @lancewittwer2617
      @lancewittwer2617 5 років тому +1

      Yes it would. Sports entertainment has grown boring. This was great because back then you didn't know what was going to happen. Interviews weren't scripted they just let people talk an improvised.
